- Restored NASA documentary from 1965 about Wallops Flight Center (now Wallops Flight Facility). The installations and activities happening there - flight tracking and sounding rocket launches - are shown. A Scout launch is shown in detail.
The video was remasted to improve color balance and stability. The original was of very low quality and suffered from strong vignetting and color gradients. These were corrected as best as possible. AI upscale (Topaz AI) was used to resample the video to full HD resolution. While it works in most cases, some artifacts are present in some sequences.
Sound and image cleanup, AI upscale and color restoration by RetroSpace HD.

Wildlife and rockets what's not to love both
I worked briefly at Wallops in the 90s, on a government project that had nothing to do with rockets. I remember driving into work one morning and had to stop and wait, because a bunch of scientists were standing in front of a rocket on the launch pad, having their picture taken. It was a very cool place, but rained so much when I was there that much of the area was flooded.
If I Had a Rocket Launcher a song by Bruce Cockburn 1984 ... just came to mind.
