    Hold crap, both players spacing is so sick...and damn 6:01 was a crazy crossup dive kick.

    That was real smart of Daigo on that first round.

  • @vamp3s

    Daigo was doing exhibition matches all day long on the left side, so apart from the matches Mago had Vs Tokido all the left side was Daigo.

    Daigo has been owning at SFII since 1998, he's always been in top tier ever since and won almost everything there is to win. No other player can say that. In ten years, when Infiltration or Tokido have won as many ranked matches then we'll talk again.

    rare footage of Tokido beating daigo in a set of SSF4!

    Did you notice how many times he used Standing LK to punish a read-whiffed Cr. HK? None. Also you can check how many times he used EX hadoken from that distance. I would say Daigo has modified his game Vs. Akuma since that match vs Infiltration IMO.

  • @sabishiihito
    @sabishiihito Před 12 lety

    I think it's a combination of 1) online lag 2) SF4's weird meaty timing 3) spacing. I noticed Tokido makes sure there's a little room between him and the opponent when he lands so he's out of throw range. Won't help versus uppercut mashers though....

    people who complain about mashing, spamming etc is trying to make you feel that they are better than you, or trying to justify why they lost against you.

    can you explain me too but just a little bit clearer how he reallises that fireball faster???!!! i think i got you i was trying it in trainng mode and really it came faster out , but just wanna make sure i understand you perfectly....
    so basicly my hadouken motion is down-right>right>HP ???

  • @yahoo1o1
    @yahoo1o1 Před 12 lety

    3:53 is a punish. he mashed to ensure correct punish timing because of SSF4's input leniency. if you don't understand the difference between what daigo did and brainless mashing, then thats too bad. Mashing is strong in SSF4, dont be ashamed to use it sparringly, but if you actually want to improve, you'll figure out there's always an alternative to mashing.

  • @flipballaz93
    @flipballaz93 Před 12 lety

    why can daigo release fireball so quick? everytime i do hadoken my ryu moves back or crouches a little before releasing fireball. did capcom give him a hadoken turbo button just for him?

  • @sabishiihito
    @sabishiihito Před 12 lety

    It looked like he was starting the meaty combos with light punch, so he couldn't have been doing a crouch tech as ↓+LP+LK will result in a low light kick....

  • @etiristri
    @etiristri Před 12 lety

    what you do is you crouch tech to start the meaty combo, so you tech the throw or come out with meaty light kick

    Daigo is using way more ex fireballs in his gameplay against Akuma since evo seeing Infiltration focused through them a lot. I still thin he should have saved more super meter in this match.

    You know you can move the stick quite a bit before it physically hits the edge of the restrictor gate? You don't have to move the stick all the way to the restrictor gate, just enough so it registers (go to prac mode to see how much you have to move the stick untill it registers). Then just do the motion 100 times facing right, and a 100times facing left, without taking the stick all they way to the edge. This should speed up your input and improve your gameplay :) Hope I was of any help :).

  • @1337Boredness
    @1337Boredness Před 12 lety

    If you're having a proper argument, then let me tell you chrluzz is right. It has nothing to do with nationality, but the players themselves. There are very good USA players, and the best are on par with the Japanese's best. Let's not argue on that, because results in tournament supports my point. If Japanese were so good, why didn't they win evo this year? Instead they got battered by a Korean. Surely the factor you pointed out are to the Japanese's favor, so please explain.

    tokido adapting Infiltration's anti-daigoryu technology :D

  • @etiristri
    @etiristri Před 12 lety

    I know tokido wasn't, but thats because at that level they just assume he could just do crouch tech. For online, although it wont give you as much damage, i would start with crouch tech. just and idea

    don't move the stick all the way down, just enough so that it registers (prac mode is your friend here) and then move it to the right so that it just registert
    s the input and press punch. profit

    and first when i see a FT10 where daigo counterpicks infiltration and still looses i will say "hands down infiltration is a stronger player"
    till then i still belive Daigo is the best overall player in the world

  • @0pTicaL
    @0pTicaL Před 12 lety

    Yes it does, don't kid yourself. Ethnicity, environment, mentality, culture all has to do with how you train and how you play. Never seen an American beat a Japanese player, only seen cocky, conceited Americans fly all the way to Japan to get their asses spanked. There's no way you can deny that American 2D gamers are doing something terribly wrong. Tbh, any game that Asians show interest in they dominate (2D/3D fighters, RTS). First step in solving any problem is to admit there is one.

  • @0pTicaL
    @0pTicaL Před 12 lety

    Sadly, I'm just stating facts. If American players can figure out what they're doing wrong or what they're not doing enough of, they would have beaten the best Japan has to offer. I haven't seen anyone come close. The skill level exhibited by the top Japanese players are on a entirely different level. Sometimes I feel like they're just toying with American players. Google sf3s Kuroda Justin Wong. Complete control and utter domination.

  • @0pTicaL
    @0pTicaL Před 12 lety

    That's how Japanese players play in general. It's American players that can't grasp the basic concept on how to play properly.
