Played Royal Troon last year absolutely blown away by everything the welcome, the clubhouse the food and of obviously the course. Managed a par on the postage stamp so came away happy

Troon is amazing. Double bogeyed the 8th when i played this past June.
A 71 year old Gene Sarazen aced the Postage Stamp in 1973. Walked up and covered the hole with his cap. Love a short hole, like the 17th at Royal Liverpool last year. Great segment, Iona. Looking forward to the tournament later next week!

Very few courses I’ve played have a really good short par 3- shame as they are a real challenge. Lovely video 👍
I dropped into the pro shop a few weeks ago and the stands were just being put up and the course was looking amazing.

I have to say Iona yours is the best content, i played royal Troon a long time ago and I thought I done really well , well until I got to this hole where the coffin got me and took 4 to get out 😂
Heading to Troon this year , heading over from Ireland and as I work as a postman guess the 8th is the only place for me to set up for the week 😂. Love the videos Iona 👌
My one time I hit to the bunker on the right. Two to get out and two putts makes double bogey. The course was magnificent.
I played this with my brother in 1973 after tom weikopf won,played it for an hour! Gene saracen aced it!

It’s amazing at that distance it should be straight forward and would be if there were no bunkers at all. Put some bunkers in sight and suddenly the target area gets almost claustrophobic and feels well, just like a postage stamp 😂. If you want it on hard mode add in hundreds of people watching during a major. Well played to both of you.

People from overseas dont get the real feeling of the weather changes that happen very quickly when playing golf in Scotland (wind speed,wind direction,temperature changes etc).
