I think people forget Tommy is from a family of world champions. We've seen his dad, we've seen JJ talking to his dad and making fun of him online, about him helping Tommy to go to the bathroom. If I was Tommy I would be horrified with the thought of his dad being disappointed in him, let alone his big brother. That is one of the strongest feelings when discussing motivation. JJ, as an underdog, doesn't have that. Everyone is so proud and caring when they see him training like this. After the match I don't believe JJ has to worry anyone in his circle will be disappointed.
