I like your New SUV tuning project, It's definitivly a unique plan. I would suggest 1 thing: If this car doesn't already has it, Use an Air suspension to ride as low as possible during the summer (for aerodynamic reasons) and Lift it as high as needed if you need to drive in deep snow. It allows you to ride it as low as possible without loosing the possibility for offroad usage, and you gonna get better comfort. As far as i know is the touareg one of those Volkswagen that had an optional air suspension. I Like to see the direction of your progress, Keep on your Amazing work.

This came with steel springs. I would have liked to get the air suspension version, but not so commong with the 2,5tdi engine.

I still have the car. No new record attempts with this lately. Maybe next summer is coming some attempts with new tires for record consumption.
