This now my favorite vintage 4 cylinder Mercury/vintage wood boat combo on CZcams. The balance, size and design of the that Old Town with the lapstrake forming a perfect beveled chine. I can just see this boat running out to bring back a couple of lobster pots crossing a bar with ease. Love the Pine Tree videos - keep them coming.
I grew up fishing with my dad in a tiny 12' Old Town rowboat (wood/canvas, constructed like their canoes from those days) with a 5-HP motor. The boat had belonged to my grandpa. I had no idea they made boats like this. Lots of interesting stuff on this channel!
Wow. All I can say. As the owner of a Mark 5, my grandfather’s motor, and the... enjoyer of a 1960s 50hp which ran our boat from when I was born (1969) till the boat (but not the motor) gave up in around 1998.
