In '74 at 16, I bought almost the same setup, but Chris Craft (original kit made). Traded boat and trailer for a wet suit, but kept the Merc 300 pull start. Later found one with electric start, but a parts motor until I know more. Couple years ago found a Mahogany 15 footer under cover at a garage sale. Had to replace the transom, which has turned into a mostly to total rebuild. I can't wait to feel it on plane again. Great video and inspiring reminder.
Nice outfit! How many hours went into building that baby? I had a chance to buy a Wolverine a few years ago but I passed. I kick myself every time I see a restored one like this one. The Professor did good!

Good looking boat and it rides really nice on the water.
Nice, I'm slowly trying to reconstruct a Peterborough laminated speed boat.
