I like the concept of filtering with clams. Any idea of if they’ll survive long winters?
They are native here in Europe. We call them swan mussels
I far prefer wild discus to the man-made varieties but personal preferences aside that is a great tank.
I really liked the idea of using bivalves to filter the water.
i have done it as well. The big negative is parasite from the bivalve which making my fish die. So we need to kill parasite first

Koi reminds me of the frenzy for tulips.
Lovely and stunning aquariums- but I do prefer less fish in the tank. I like to study and know each fish individually, their behaviour and character. Once the numbers get beyond being able to identify them - its not quite the same for me.
However the dedication and skill to keep so many fish in such a pristine tank can’t be understated. 👍

I think the states doesnt use freshwater clams in their ponds because many of the US species have a parasitic stage where they live in the gills of fishes and then drop off when they are older.
I want to know how often do they clean water tanks in shop

This is what I want for the aquarium store i work at but my boss doesnt have vision.
Isn't that tank way overstocked? 4500L for 250 discus is like 18L per fish!

Transparent is the word... Translucent means you CAN'T SEE through but Light can pass through.
Albino motoro and pearls are around 750 euro in Denmark xD Damn they make good money on those stingray so close by xD I'm in the wrong business in denmark, im moving to germany to get 10 times more for my rays xD

@@cwb-aqua-profi point taken, though.. the monster fish hobby is BOOMING in Germany, a lot from the Nordic countries do buy from Germany, specially Denmark :P Denmark only have a small group of the fish hobby that are into "monster" fish, few are dedicated to keeping them responsible.
So i do believe there's an entry into the German market with the right pricing and business approach :D
