    Jaylen played phemonial today especially in the first half. Even though he dropped 5 points in the second half his 25 points in the first half help us be able to get this victory.

      Agreed. Brown lit the fire under the offense the first half, and the rest of the squad pitched in to keep the fire going and secure the W the second half

      Good game but this type of shooting isn’t this teams MO. They can’t sustain this they need to get some things at the rim.

      @@jeremyjones2485 you’re right. But now the Bucks will have to change plans. Next game they’ll probably defend more in the perimeter. In which case would open up they paint for us a little.

    He was the first on the floor before the game and it shows. His drive set us off to an amazing start and even offensive hiccup in later 2nd half wasn't enough to clip their wings!
    What a day to be a Celtic fan - I absolutely love how they responded to the loss of Game 1.

    JB has really brought together so many aspects of his game he had flashed in the past. Shooting, passing, driving, creating, finishing despite contests... And excellent man defense.
    PS - his dribble through the legs move is so fierce... It means some sh!t about to go down!!

    This was one of his better passing games in a while as well. That behind the back to Rob and that no look to Tatum for a 3 were my favorite plays of the game.

    Boston is in the mix to hopefully repeat at least its 2020 Playoffs run: sweeping its first round (Sixers and Nets), facing the defending champions (Raptors and Bucks), and a possible revenge on the Heat to reach the finals.

    Ok I’m officially starting to see a pattern here. Notice how whenever JB gets hot and literally can’t miss in the first half, but “disappears” in the second? If you look closely at these games, The action always ends in a Tatum ISO that 7/10 times end in a miss. Then that lead we effortlessly put together evaporates. I don’t get it tho: when Tatum is cooking the team trips over themselves trying to get him the ball to get that 40-50 piece. Why isn’t that same energy kept for JB ?🤷🏽‍♀️

    • @schuylersavage276
      @schuylersavage276 Před 2 lety +6

      Yeah…that’s why we are lucky that JB cares more about winning than anything. He truly is very unselfish becuade of what you pointed out. I think that’s why the rumor came out rifgt before they turned it around that JB might request a trade in the offseason if things didn’t turn around. He is happy to play a smaller role than he is capable of thriving in as long as it’s for the TEAMS sake. But if the team wasn’t playing well, he wasn’t going to stick around get held back from ascending. There aren’t many guys in the league who have averged 24.6 a game as a seocnd option behind a very high volume player of a similar
      Position. It’s crazy how Jaylen is able to score so much without being his teams focus on offense. It’s also what some people didn’t understand why they said he didn’t pass enough . He is expected to get 25 a game but without being the teams focus. That isn’t easy. That’s why he had to always look to score when he did get the ball. But he truly embraced it once the entire team started sharing the ball more. That’s when his assits went up as well. He felt
      Like the ball was going to find him often so he didn’t need to force his shot attempts so much. I think JBs role is one of rhe toghest on the team. You are expected to score a lot but also expected to be move the ball, all while not having the offense run through you. His efficiency over the last 3 years is really underrated. Not many guys who take as many 3s and jumpers shoot the 46-48 percent he does. Even this year he was a little down trying to figure the new system out and was still very efficient when looking at his volume and shot areas.

      @@schuylersavage276 couldn’t have said it any better bro 😎. I just wish he actually gets those opportunities to get that 40 more often. Cuz we know for damn sure it would take half the shots that Tatum takes to get there.

    The reason that Brown's scoring nearly ceased in the second half is because the ball stopped moving.
    Jaylen plays within the flow of the offense. He forced nothing tonight.

      @AnthonyLeNguyen Před 2 lety

      Well, Stan is sort of right. He has definitely improved his handles since he came into the league, but he does struggle AT TIMES, with ball security and going full speed, dribbling into traffic, which causes turnovers. I love JB though, I got his jersey for a reason. Go C's!
