100% agree with you philosophy on waking up and getting work done in the first few hours of the day. Sometimes I have off days, but the days that I do this I find are way more productive in general. My schedule on those days looks similar to yours. Get work done early morning. Work out late morning/early afternoon. Eat. Finish meetings. Start working on creative stuff/hobbies (for me that’s music production/DJing/cooking).
Same here, and it's the only thing that works for me. I usually wake up and work out because I can't bring myself to exercise later in the day when I'm like fully awake and thinking about it. Afterwards I study or work until early afternoon and then the important things are done and I still got half of my day for fun stuff, friends, household chores and lazing around.

I think I have the most cringe morning routine honestly: 1. Wake up. 2. Pet cat. 3. Recognize Existential Dread. 4. Return to Sleep. 5. Wake up. Repeat steps 1 - 5 until I *ABSOLUTELY* have to get up.
Had a similar routine for a while. All of the sudden the dread (of existing for the day) wasn't there, but the dread of waking up still was. Turns out I have severe narcolepsy. Not saying you do lol. Just saying startling numbers of people go a decade or more with undiagnosed sleeping disorders. 60 - 70% of adults with ADHD have a circadian rhythm disorder that makes your brain basically fight you to go to sleep late and wake up late. Only treatment there is light therapy, but it helps majorly. Commenting in case this helps even 1 person break out of that hamster wheel and actually get better
@@lizzyblitz07 Wait shit, really? I have severe ADHD & am usually medicated for it, but when I'm not I deal with this cycle of resenting even having woken up. Thank you for responding to this!
@@anaxvi38 yay! So for you and OP, here's everything I know from research, and have been doing, with approval from my doctor (I'm not one though so for legal reasons this isn't medical advice lol). It's important to have a lamp labeled for seasonal depression. It's the easiest way to make sure you're getting the right kind, which doesn't have UV. I use a slightly older model of the ,Verilux brand Happylight Luxe. I want a standing one too, but this one is portable enough to move around the apartment and travel with. For seasonal depression the recommended time is usually 20-30 minutes each morning. When I was actively moving my sleep schedule back, I needed like 1 or 2 hours. It's just light, and I was seeing improvements without issues, so I just listened to my body. It needs to be angled toward your actual eyeballs, so your brain registers that it's daytime. (But don't look directly at it). I do it within 30 minutes of waking up usually. Now the longer time is nice (sun sets at 5pm right now) but I don't need it. 30 minutes or even less will allow me to maintain my schedule. My brain wants bed at 2 am or 3am, and wake at 10 or 11 am. Y'all. I'm waking up at SEVEN FIFTEEN AM and I'm only miserable sometimes, and only until I'm out of bed (usually). It's not a cure-all, and you have to move your bedtime back SLOWLY so it'll stick. But by God it's a life saver. (I found moving back by 15 minutes every few days was the most I could do. I still go to bed at varied times, but it's varied by about 30 minutes instead of hours, and going to bed extra late is 1am instead of 4am or later). I've looked at research about this, and the studies are all pretty recent. I couldn't believe the % was around 60-70. Like, I'm screaming this from the rooftops because I know so many of us are struggling with it
My body always wakes me up at least before 7, usually earlier. Makes getting ready for work much easier, but it sucks on my days off when I would actually like to sleep in

@@carasheehan8383the only way I’ve been able to snap out of sleeping in late was staying up all night and then trying to go to bed the next day at a decent time (usually by 10 that first night from being so tired), it kinda resets the clock. Least it does for me! Maybe it will help you too

Please don't let that be your take away from looksmaxxing dude 😭💀 that shit is so unhealthy, take care of yourself 10000% but please do nooootttt do anything they suggest without looking into it first ...looksmaxxing mfs are tripping 99.9% of the time, just become what makes you happy and comfortable within ur body and mind. If that makes sense? Don't be bone smashing 😭‼️
@@hard.g0re lmao i was only joking, while it's funny to see them go to the extremes it makes me realize that it's honestly simple and easy to do basic shit, no 'looksmaxxing' routines necessary
@@hard.g0rehard agree w this
lets be real tho..will you actually make any long lasting changes? no 😅
i wanna see a morning routine from Cody 🙏🏼
rhyming palace with phallus reminded me of this eight minute rap song my friends made in high school and one of the BARS is "sitting on my porcelain throne/that's my palace/flush so hard/that off comes my phallus"
Cody laughing without smiling is my new sleep paralysis demon
Cody we need a "that's cringe" collab with Noel it's been a minute!!
They kind of do one every week in their podcast…
thats actually good to know ty @@CalviASMR
Like i got time to watch a 2 hour long podcast for a 10 minute moment lmao just make a video@@CalviASMR
@@Averydoesthingsno it isnt
They feel like that’s washed out but idk i will always love that’s cringe 😔
Cody pleassseee we need a realistic morning routine from you. Like your real morning routine
Cody is top of his game in this video
I love that Cody pre-recorded a bunch of videos for us for when his baby was born ♥️
Yours and kels’ vids are my weekly escape from life and my “happy tv time” since I don’t watch tv- I was thinking recently about the time that every video u we’re referencing going through something or in a mental block of creativity- just wanted to applaud you for getting to where ur at today. For many that would’ve been the deterrent to quit and you found new passions that refueled ur fire and are living, what looks to be, a life you love w ur new lil family. Proud of u and happy for u guys, happy to have been watching u guys from the beginning, excited to see u at XS. Cheers to ur new endeavors 🤍 oh btw this vid gas lmao
shifting from the mind palace to the slam dungeon really got me
"Mind palace to my phallus" was even better 😂
This video was actually very inspiring, thank you, I will try to get stuff done in the morning. And I will try to sleep more.
Cody… I really appreciate your videos
The fact that Cody was too bothered to take off his shirt so he just pulled it up for the "shirtless" picture.... speaks to me. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 "I'm not doin all that"
girl im pretty sure zade did that he is the editor lol
@@paigewolfe7119definitely. Pretty sure it’s from the button video with the chest tattoo guy
@@beartrillz7591and @paigewolfe7119 came here to say both of these things -- you are my people
@@paigewolfe7119Yeah its from another video 😂
@@paigewolfe7119 I know they are edited but thought maybe he did the picture for this video. Now i understand it's a freeze frame.
*hits forehead* STUPID! STUPID! STUPID!
the way cody said “my name is brett maverick” is giving julia fox “uncut jams”
OMG yes!! 🤣 it’s that same type of accent.
@@winxclubstellamusa exactly it’s the same vibe 😂
I need more life lessons/ motivation videos from Cody
FREAKING CODY STOP BUMPING INTO YOUR DEEESSSK, MAN! Your miiiic keeps making a booming noise its driving me craaaazy
Ah yes, as a girl, I too, trim my body bald every morning with my manscape products!
I think I have the most cringe morning routine honestly:
1. Wake up.
2. Pet cat.
@@lizzyblitz07 already did. my bf has ADHD and has been strugling a lot with his sleep lately. ill definitely look into it. thanks!
@@lizzyblitz07 Wait shit, really? I have severe ADHD & am usually medicated for it, but when I'm not I deal with this cycle of resenting even having woken up.
Thank you for responding to this!
@@lizzyblitz07 I have hypersomnia, I wonder if light therapy would help me. I'll look into it, thanks!
Like, I'm screaming this from the rooftops because I know so many of us are struggling with it
GJ cody this vid was actually funny
Cody dropping the real ass advice there. ahh love this man
i’m a disabled person with occupational therapy and even “doing most important tasks first thing in the morning” is a thing i do
I'm glad ur responsible, that takes discipline, me on the other hand. I'd rather sleep in and scramble to do everything while being late LMFAOOO. 😭🫶🫶
I love how Kelsey’s husband has really been upping his CZcams game lately- Keep it up with the good work, buddy !
“ Less adapted to sleep longer”
Always here for the absolute Gems of wisdom you be dropping Cody
4 hrs of sleep for me every night cody. it is all I need.
This is the routine that makes $100k, when you could have made $200k if you didn't do it
life is about fulfillment, not $
Cody's editor is a genius because I genuinely watch until the end of every video for the little clip at the end
Mr.Ko! Sei brillante, originale, divertentissimo.. unico come "intrattenitore" 👏🏻❤️🔥☀️ thabk you Cody, have a good one
Cody explaining how to focus on specific tasks instead of getting sidetracked was legit more helpful than any morning routine video out there 😂
I'm a new Cody Ko fan. Glad to be here
My body always wakes me up at least before 7, usually earlier. Makes getting ready for work much easier, but it sucks on my days off when I would actually like to sleep in
Same. I naturally wake up around 5a. Surprisingly I slept until 7a today.
Ugh trust me it is not any better on the other side. No matter how much I try to train my sleep, I will sleep until almost 1:00 pm if I’m not super disciplined about getting up to my many alarms. It SUCKS I wanna be up in the morning 😢
Yeah I'm up at 4am for work on weekdays and then weekends my body alarm wakes me up at the same time it's so annoying
@@carasheehan8383the only way I’ve been able to snap out of sleeping in late was staying up all night and then trying to go to bed the next day at a decent time (usually by 10 that first night from being so tired), it kinda resets the clock. Least it does for me! Maybe it will help you too
One time I woke up at 5 am on sunday extremely agitated because I thought I was late for work (I have to take the bus at 5:20), I realized it was sunday after taking a shower. Sad af.
He looks so tired! But he’s smiling! Love to see it!
it literally doesn’t matter the video, no one calms me down like cody
Did you hear about his Access Hair? Lmao. Cody you should have pointed that one out it had me on the floor. MY ACCESS HAIR
Shouts out Cody for continuing to feed us during lunchtime, even after becoming a new dad to baby Otie Ko ❤️
It's baby Otis Kreppel
6:09 i love this dre dexler reference
I liked your insight on this in the second half I learnt a lot and it’s something I need to apply more to my life. The focus that you have to get sh*t done i mean ✨
Love that Cody accidentally reviewed the same morning routine video as Noel and both shat on “Mind Palace” so hard😭😭
Who was the second guy? 20 bucks says he's mostly full of shit.
4:47 in the morning and youve done sauna and journaling.... DAMN
5:49 , happy to note this actually made me laugh out loud
Cody u should make a morning routine video!!
