This helped alot. I removed the cooling area to remove a strip of dust that got stuck on the inside of the cooler.
Thanks for the video, gonna upgrade the RAM to 64 GB tomorrow.I did´nt dare to remove the cooling part, too nervous. And it´s seems dangerous, maybe in the future. I suppossed to be gentle and don´t break anything, and so change the paste. Many many thx, WE LOVE YOU

@@yanalshoumenn4406 I hope this message finds you well...from what my buddy told me it would be pointless to go DD5 because it will only act as a DD4 because of the bios you would have to change many other things to be able to get DD5 so our suggestion is to find something DD4 I got the Ripjaws like another commentor got

Very helpful. Would replacing the charging port require soldering? Looks to me like you would unplug and unscrew then pop the part in am I wrong?

I would recommend getting a different laptop. This laptops charger is really sensitive. I could be playing a game and randomly the gpu switches to jntel. For vr it makes me throw up

Yes, you can as long as it holds tight and wont break the socket. Usually 2.5 SSDs are light anyway.

Question i have this same laptop and after a little less then 1 years use im experiencing serious frame drops from like 100 down to 10 or totally frozen for about 15 seconds. I just ordered a tool kit to take this thing apart. anyone have any ideas?
A new drive may be needed or check thermal paste due to thermal throttling.
@@L1lton23 hear me out, i noticed msi auto sets the cpu to run at 100% so i dialed in back to 95% and its brought the heat down significantly. from literally 100c to 55c max running games like final fantasy or destiny 2 at 100fps.
the only time now i experience crazy frame drops is during world of warcraft play. super strange
@Fatchixgaming I know this is a year old but If I could recommend instead of turning down the processing power to 95% disable the boost processor power and turn the processor power minimum while plugged in to 100% and then turn the maximum both when plugged and in and on computer to 100% your temps should drop even lower without any noticeable stuttering 👍
