Hey! Good luck you guys! My wife and I picked up 20 acres of a logged out lumber forest in lower Alabama. Like you, we are trying to create a Homestead for our selves. We're a little older then you (in our 60`s), but we're in pretty good shape, retired and, a little crazy.
