ok
What old airfield was the trebuchet scene filmed on?
Fetchez la vache!!
“Oh shit!”
is that colin furze’s trebuchet with some sheet metal on it?
Nice to see Citroen launch a new car.
🤣😂🤣😂❤
I see what u did there..lol
It's sales are gonna skyrocket.
A car who could fit in your dining room
Hell yeah
The entire flight takes about 20 seconds. 25 miles are about 40 kilometres. This is the speed it will have at its arrival in France: 40000m/20s = 2000 m/s. As the speed of sound is 343 m/s, the citroen was travelling at 2000/343 = 5.8 times the speed of sound. This shows Jeremy’s genius in catapult-building abilities
I cant belive you waste time doing math
@@WiseTable Math is only a waste of time in the eyes of the ignorant.
It's almost frightening
@@HLP_Gaming As a Mathematics professor at the University of Hokkaido I would totally concur with your assertion. People that do not care for mathematics always seem to have a poor understanding of the subject. It is a testament to the inadequate instruction given in primary schools as it allowed these people to leave school without a proper understanding of the subject.
@@kikufutaba524 It's baked into the curriculum. The ladder with broken rungs. By 12th grade, all but 5% are guaranteed to have fallen off the ladder--not due to aptitude but due to broken rungs. Mass-production techniques do not apply to learning a highly sequence critical subject. Miss one topic, it all crumbles later.
The way Clarkson says “Wait a minute” and then Hammond says “Oh yeah” is so funny to me
Same 😂
This is great comedy. But I would love to see how far it actually went
Same. You can see by the arc it wasn't that far.
@@andmicbro1 They have behind the scenes of that catapult launch on youtube, it went for like 100-200 meters
They can't show that.
It took out a boatload of "asylum seekers".
They never disappoint with the destruction of cars 😂
Or caravans
@@SpiderPigggg Yeah true many have been destroyed lol
****cars
Caravans are useless actually
Cars and now also buildings
probably the fastest that Citroen had ever gone.
and the fastest it has stopped.
Or any french car
😂😂
It probably looks a lot more attractive now !
0:19 “WAIT A MINUTE!!!”
"OH YEAH!"
I know is CGI but...i still like it. The silence when the car breaks into the house is comic, and see them preparing to launch the car in a "manly" way is so fun to watch that i barely care that the launch is fake.
its not cgi
@@hohoo4067 It is after it leaves the catapult.
I want to believe
@@MrStGeorgeIllawarra I want to think it’s CGI, but I’m not convinced.
And I loved the fact that they still launched the car in the first place.
The complete silence as it goes through a building is the best part.
Speed of sound for you!
These guys are always extreme and this is on another level🤣🤣🤣
The fact that these guys can at anytime say "yeah, but I trebucheted Citroen back to France" makes me jealous like nothing else in life
You just needed a bigger catapult and more powerrrrr xxx One of my favourite clips 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
And perhaps move it a bit closer to France than the East Anglian airfield it was filmed on.
Everything can be improved with more POWER czcams.com/video/ToyM657PxYk/video.html

@@AtheistOrphanwhy does your profile pic show a hatred for christianity, please tell me
@@Ltanti-furry - Good question and thank you for asking.
I actually possess a deep loathing for ALL religions, and did in fact initially choose a similar profile pic that featured the symbols for Christianity, Judaism and Islam crossed-out, but it looked far too small, particularly when viewed on the small screen of a phone, so found this one and chose it for its more dynamic aesthetic.
I hope that answers your question. Thank you once again. Peace.😎☮️
I love Clarksons "WAIT A MINUTE"
I'd like to see full launch clip from one angle, with no montage
Youd see a car fly maybe 30 yards
Doesn't exist
Check meteltech shorts they have the real behind the scenes launch
@@Drspeiser can't find it
That’s what I was looking for.
Men never grow old, their toys just get bigger 🙂
This clip goes to show that The Grand tour is 50% car reviews and the other 50% is the Trio playing IRL GMOD
When I heard Jeremy say "Oh Shit" I couldn't stop laughing
Jeremy: Wait a minute?!🤔
Richard:Ohhhhh Yeahhhh!,😏
Imagine coming home from a long day at work only for the first thing you see when you return is a car flying into the roof of your shed!😆
The French would be mad. Those 3 genius almost and litterally started another Hundred Years War against France which thank god that didn’t happen
I remember watching this the first time and remarking out loud that this was very Pythonesque..... Well done Lads, the British car industry is now much more robust due to your efforts, Sadly.
As a French person it made me laugh, i love english humor ! ^^
People saying this is cgi. Most likely it's not. What is happening here is they launched the car multiple times to get it appear to stay longer in the air.
Also some of the air footage is slowed down hence it looks bit odd. The car is most likely dropped from a crane at the end when it hits the building.
Cgi or not its fake lame british sense of humour
It's CGI
what really ticks me off is the fact that they had time to
a) launch the catapult from the ground
b) get into a platform and had time to get their binoculars on
Trajectory with the car suggests that it would have landed in 10-15 seconds tops. Ain't nobody got time for that
@@sfsf285 I mean its still better than half of the western hemisphere's humour
@@sfsf285 I laughed. British humour is the best in the world, and I've known that since I was a kid.
Still the only reason to have Prime...
This & South Park.
Not wrong
Same day or next day delivery isn't bad either
"Clarkson and Hammond Could Trebuch-May a Citroën Back to France"
Ever since I saw May and Hammond review the Pluriel all those years ago, this is exactly what I wanted them to do just fling it all the way to Nice
The childlike glee of Hamond's face made this episode for me. Epic lunacy on a level rarely achieved.
0:59 The perfect vehicle for him.
James: Hang on!
What James? Too fast?
The faces of pure glee upon realizing what they have to fling it back
I love my Pluriel, but still find this hilarious! 🤣
It’s brilliant,,top job guys
"Bringing in some machinery"
"Speed and power"

This is the manliest thing I have ever seen !
Ladies... The man In its maximum explendor
Imagine the joys we would all get, loading up this contraption with freshly new arrivals from a dinghy that had just landed on a local beach.
Surprisingly aerodynamic
All year 2000s French cars deserved this :p
Great to see again Merci Beaucoup
I lost it at 3:55 when I hear the chuckling from them. You know it had to be the most amazing yet bizarre things to see it flying through the air like that…we’re all thinking it
Honestly this is the best, i have been almost all of top gear videos and the trio is so funny, cool, awesome and yeah!
These 3 are hilarious legends 😂😂😂
Hammond and Clarkson always crack me up
Another good one from the lads.
VERY satisfactory!
Gawd almighty I love these guys...

“I love cranes mate”
Hammond's enjoyed playing with cranes before czcams.com/video/LfiIr83EtRU/video.html
omg i didnt know they was back doing the grand tour. hells yea i got a couple seasons to catch up on. god i missed it, an old top gear, but as long as they keep doing the grand tour its just as good if not better.
Thanks for shipping me my new car. delivery was lightning fast and it came in great condition
Very funny watching again merci beaucoup
can we get to see how far it actually went?
🤣🤣🤣
I miss these guys
Most epic thing they ever did
And the most surreal I’ve ever seen. Flying car..😂They catapulted a French car back to it’s land 😆
Imagin walking past seeing that in the air 😂
Oh yeah
Whether on land or in the air, French cars will always take you far 😎
far enough to get you to the garage
Ta cheio de marea aqui no Brasil , ia se perfeito 😂😂😂
0:22 ohh yeahhh😀
Clarkson just looked like a boss that shows up at the job site and isn’t completely familiar with using the telehandler but tries to show off but instead just messes things up 😂
Still legendary 😂
شكرا على ترجمة صفير الريح والضحك
Ahhhh, funny video ! Very creative.
Thank you for the amazing meme material
I remember that

All editing aside, that is one fine trebuchet.
Top style!
That looks unreal almost
Hammonds fave after the car launched😂👌
Imagine looking up at the sky, and you see a random flying Citroen 😂
That was hilarious 😂.
This could solve the channel rubber boats crisis. Massive trebuchet!
"Waait a minute"

Reza a lenda que o carro tá voando até hoje
Would've loved to see the unedited footage of the car flying and crashing to the ground... I dont like all that cgi stuff.
What cgi mate? This is 100% real.
No it’s edited the car was in the air too long, plus I don’t think there was a house in the beginning
@@briand9764 no way, if you divide the force of the catapult by the circumference of pie the car is in the air for the correct amount of time.
@@Sasquatch10 but don’t you have to calculate your brains reaction time considering your metal plate? It’s all science

They editied it using VFX magic
