    You have an excellent tutorial !! After watching this video, I don't have any questions whatsoever. I was mainly concerned about adding my external hardware processors to the SP8 while it's connec to to my Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 via ADAT. Thank you very much 👍👍👍

    Hi again Brian. Having watched the EVO16 tutorial which is fantastic. I just finished watching the SP8 tutorial which is perfect as I am using two SP8s with my EVO16. The BNC and ADAT tutorials are brilliant and easy to understand. However I cannot figure out why I am getting a DAW return signal in the EVO app on channels MAC9 and MAC10 which correspond to my Studio One 6 track outputs which are being sent to the first two ADAT outputs 9 and 10 on the first SP8. I don't understand what's happening or how to avoid it. I have set the EVO 16 and both SP8s to the DAW thru mode as all I want to do is send 24 pre recorded audio mono tracks from Studio One 6 directly to 24 Line Inputs on my analogue mixer. I know this is old school stuff with modern interfaces but I just want to play around with mixing on an analogue mixer. Any help would be much appreciated. I do get the DAW returns signal on EVO outputs 1+2 which is fine for my near field monitors but I can't figure out why I'm getting the same DAW returns on MAC/DAW returns 9+10 which are the ADAT inputs 1+2 on the 1st SP8.

    Hi. Great video. Question, so I'm looking into getting a few SP8's for use with my Galaxy 64 interface... can I use the 8 anilog outs of the SP8 and go to the anilog in's of the Galaxy?

    I am using focusrite 18i6 and I am happy that I am getting a very loud sound for 80 ohm from the headphone output, can I use my 18i6 as a headphone amp by connecting it to evo 16?

    I am wondering if you would share your thoughts about picking up a 2nd hand Avid Eleven Rack device in 2023. Thanks so much

      If you want something to use live or without a computer, the 11R can still be useful since they are sooooo cheap now. But if you are going to be recording, there are better amp algorithms now for amp plugins and most computers have no problem running these at near zero latency. Any amp plugin from Plugin Alliance or II II II II from Otto Audio would be my go-to today for recording guitar.

    Hi there, could you re-amp (or route to analog gear) from DAW out through adat outputs through SP8 analog outputs? Much appreciated and great informative videos. Cheers!

    Witch one Should I buy First, The Evo-16 or The SP8? If I only need one unit to start...

    • @BenoniStudio
      @BenoniStudio  Před rokem

      The Evo 16 since it’s an audio interface. The SP8 is a preamp that you would add to your audio interface.

    i purchased the 1d 44 mk 2 ,it was a tough choice between it and the evo 16. i love the unit but started to do what i said i never would and add analog gear to my setup so i have one of these guys arriving in the next couple of days to expand my setup for hybrid mixing. in your opinion do you think this unit will work well for that ??

    • @BenoniStudio
      @BenoniStudio  Před rokem

      Yeah. You'll be able to send audio from your DAW to external processors and then run it back in. Or send the audio directly from the preamp to external processors and then run it in to the DAW. The outputs are very flexible.
