Man. I’ve never been more ambivalent on a guy like Maher. If he just had average accuracy he’d be an above average kicker. One of the best legs I’ve ever seen and/but one of the most erratic ones I’ve ever seen

Johnny Bezdicek it’s a free kick. It’s like a kickoff but if it goes thru the posts/uprights, it counts as a field goal. It could also be returned

After making any fair catch, a team can attempt this special kind of field goal called a fair catch kick. It's basically like a kickoff except you can't use a tee and if it goes through the uprights you get 3 points.
Johnny Bezdicek don’t worry about it. That’s the first time I’ve seen this kick in my 17 years of life. Even the announcers were confused at one point.

@@TheDVZ4 yeah, that miss against the Lions looked almost down the middle and hooked. Hard to kick it better than that. There's another kick in this video where the same thing happens to a kicker, but I thought Mason's looked better. He's a really good kicker.
