Same here. I actually avoid live tv (except when visiting my parents). These commercials were gold; always loved the Centraal Beheer commercials. =D

The 'Centraal Beheer' commercials are epic here in the Netherlands. There are a lot more! About the Rolo one, that one is really funny, an elephant won't forget! That Calvé one, the last one, I don't remember well. But, there are a lot more funny ones. But when it is in Dutch, only we understand the humour. But thanks fot this vid.!

The first one is so much a old style meme that many of my age can't do 'nanana ...' and not think about this ad ... decades later
My favorite "Even Apeldoorn bellen" commercial is the one with the two cleaning ladies cleaning a really messy house.
When they leave through the front door, there's police and CSI everywhere and it turns out they just cleaned a crime scene 😆
Some minor information on the companies:
Rolo - The chocolate / caramel candy
Heineken - Beer
"Even Apeldoorn Bellen" - Centraal Beheer Achmea commercials (insurance company originally located in Apeldoorn Netherlands)
The generic thought on those is that you can call them in ANY situation
Last: Calve makes sauses (like heinz ketchup etc) and obviously they claim its so good youd lick it off the wall
The "Even Apeldoorn bellen" ads are legendary. Man this is a blast from the past!
Man, this is commercial nostalgia for me! These are so old but I still remember all of them!
To put the Rio clip into context for you: Brazil doesn't (or didn't) have an extradition arrangement with the UK, so lots of serious criminals fled to Brazil after their crimes (most well known was Ronnie Biggs, who was a member of the gang that pulled of the so called "Great Train Robbery" in 1963 were they robbed 2.7 million pounds, which would be about 66.5 million dollars in todays money. They made a movie about this heist BTW). So the fact that they had tickets to Rio and ran into a jewellery store makes it a bit suspicious, to say the the least.

All these commercials are being well thought out and have a message in them which tickles your humor senses 😀
Most commercials in the Netherlands are humor based or very clever, whereas US commercials are boring and based on the "only $9.99" concept!
Thanks for mentioning that, i was about to. These people would be in real deep shit if this actually were real, only because of those tickets.

It indicates that at such moment you have to call your insurance company.

From my experience all american commercials are really terrible. Music on the other hand is quite interesting since they have quite a diversity in music styles.

That insurance company has a lot of really funny commercials. You should look them up and watch more.
What is kind of interesting is that the "ROLO" just pretty recently appeared to be 'disappeared' from stores. At least I cannot find them anymore.
Those guys going to RIO that does not appear a Dutch commercial, I think it's a British one, judging by the buildings and also they drive on the left side.

In the 90's there were shower gel commercials (brand was FA) that showed almost full nudity. A woman taking a shower and you could see her breasts from the side, just not the nipples.
