Nick , you gotta admit that you didn’t even look at the main judge and forgot to look for the signal. Just because in slow motion it was close in timing with her hand in the air it doesn’t matter. You have to show a motionless locked out knees position at the end and you simply didn’t accomplish that. Sorry man.

As for the squat, you did jump the rerack command. Your hip crease is below the top of the knee so you weren't called on depth. The side refs were looking to see you lockout completely before moving forward.

well done! it's really beautiful as a powerlifter to see new people get into the sport! your third squat looked good from the video, plus it's really strange for the head ref to give a white light if you missed a command. A possible explanation would be if she waved her hand before saying the command out loud so you saw the command but the two other judges did not hear it quite yet, in which case you should get your lift (in cases like this, where there are 2 red light your coach is allowed to go talk to the judges to ask for explanation and it can get your lift back on the board). Anyway great job i hope this will help to get more people into the sport and i hope you had a great time competing!!

Being a former runner myself (not close as fast as you were), I am also now into strength training and you are a big inspiration for me to see, that all the endurance training does not destroy all your stronger fibers.
Thank you man and keep working hard, peace from Germany!

Same. I was definitely nowhere near as fast as him or probably yourself but I’ve been focusing entirely on strength and I love it. Cheers from the US

Well done Nick! It’s really cool to see someone like you who has already had high-level competition experience having the humility and determination to do something like this - starting from the bottom and just grinding through the process. Best of luck to you! You definitely have more in you.
