Here he describes his understanding of "ascended masters" based on his personal experiences - including intuitive and physical encounters and past-life memories. RJ maintains that there are 13 "old school" ascended masters, who were created as such. There are many more "new school" ascended masters who attained this status through a process of spiritual evolution. Viewers should understand that this conversation ranges far outside the boundaries of conventional, empirical investigation.
New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in "parapsychology" ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980). He is also the Grand Prize winner of the 2021 Bigelow Institute essay competition regarding the best evidence for survival of human consciousness after permanent bodily death.

Thanks for digging into RJ's experience with ascended masters and related beings. His perceptions track with some of the Theosophists and other esotericists and mystics-and yet there are differences. It seems the only way to "know" is to experience this ourselves. Because of the differences in perceptions, one wonders if this is because of the bluntness of the tool (our mind/body), our filter of belief systems, the lack of language to describe the experience, or whether there's a quantum perception that is appropriate for each soul development. Perhaps all of the above! I'm curious about his perception that our plane of existence is the lowest frequency-there is corroboration in other sources. In some of those sources, it is explained that the 3-D plane is a more difficult school. It would be interesting to know what RJ thinks of that concept. I look forward to more with RJ Spina.

@@yourguyjay, according to the Google Books Ngram tool, 3 - D reality began around 1953. 3 - D plane is similar but that's more mathematical. Dolores Cannon seems to be one who has made it popular but It's hard to know where it comes from exactly.
RJ's insights and ability to experience and then distill the unexplainable is truly remarkable. His book is beyond anything I have ever read in terms of how to heal.

Interesting conversation, you spoke of Alice a Bailey... a being who has visited me many times over a period of years and guided me towards great things and wisdom that continues to blow my mind every time it's granted to me. A comforting, warm and blissful experience through every moment with her...she has become like a mother to me. My family wants to believe I'm crazy but it's become more and more difficult for them when every other aspect of my life continues to get grow more functional,positive and spirtiul.
As the late great Terence McKenna said, insanity just ruins your reputation. It can survive death - but insanity?! I don't have any such fab encounters with beings like that, but even the very small, fleeting glimpses I have of what I consider to be reality, I have to be very careful who I talk to about it. I'm 67 now, so can probably be considered to be going slowly round the twist with impunity. C'est la vie. Keep on rockin' Stranger.

RJ’s description of the complete uniqueness of Ascended Masters….I am reminded of a radical anti guru that famously appeared on Thinking Allowed decades ago: UG Krishnamurti. He always struck me as such a unique phenomenon. Yes, he reflected truths to everyone around him….but he had an energy…..some likened to Shiva…..and I would say that totally resonates. It would make perfect sense that he was a kind of Avatar of Shiva. Also, has RJ catalogued the 12 (or 13) Gods, along with there variety of cultural repackagings in through Greek, Roman, Hindu/Vedic, Nordic, Egyptian…..etc traditions.
Also, I wonder what AJ would say about J Krishnamurti, Mary Baker Eddie, Joel Goldsmith, ACIM, Adi Da, Bernadette Robert’s…..to name a few.

RJ, you are the only other person I know using the "diving analogy" of the world and living in it. My guide says the body is just a device through which to interact with this environment and that he is both the boat above, bobbing in the warm light and the life-line of spirit/air descending to sustain me.
Isn’t it wonderful (one-derfull) that in this day of oneness - there is no separated identities. That is only a perceptual illusion. We are the Babaji, the Christ, the RJ, the Truth where we belong from within. -- we are all helping each other get back home- and this interview with RJ was a help to usher in the oneness. Very interesting video . Over the years, I have had a number of readings where I have been told that I am an ascended master . I've always had psychic abilities and an ability to travel out of my body . I've been involved in spiritual studies and meditation for many years . I've always thought in a progressive way . When I speak to strangers and share information, those others around listen .I'm pretty shy , so I noticed this . Great video !

Towards the end of the interview I put on the radio news, a Ukrainian woman was weeping in terror and grief. What good are all our beliefs in Masters, in reincarnation, remote viewing, aliens, when people are in such terrible suffering. Has esoteric philosophy, or this Victorian legacy of it, done anyone any good? I know it's an old question. Part of our search for meaning. There's no final answer. Certainly the Tibetans say that beings who achieve the Rainbow Body, perfect Buddha hood, can appear in any form, even multiple forms, to help sentient beings. Maybe they are ascended masters then. The Taoist Immortals too seem to fit the bill. So I'm not totally opposed to RJ's take. But I find we get a bit a lost when we try to explain the sacred with mental rational modes. Angels dancing on pinheads come to mind. Meditation on compassion seems to me more cogent. But very enjoyable interview! 🙏

I understand that in Tibetan Buddhism there is the founder Padmasambhava (or Guru Rinpoche). He was born from a lotus flower as an 8 y/o, as a perfect emanation of Amitabha Buddha. He had incredible supernatural powers, wisdom, compassion and love, and lived for over 1000 years. I love this

Of course there are being who have intentions that are not for our highest good. Tolkien said about Strider that if he were evil he would look more fair and be more foul. And "handsome is as handsome does" is a common theme in literature. It is so obvious (to me, now) that the alleged good guys of our day, who want to protect us and give us fab technology, have other, much darker, sinister goals in mind. Thanks Jeff and RJ. Mishlove’s very interesting question of “accepting” paradox @37:20-40 (Basically how can one ascend to that witch by nature neither ascends nor descends). I got an intuitive flash not of accepting paradox in the context of the human possibility of ascended mastery, but rather of becoming paradox itself.
At that point/no point/all points, one is wholly/holy behind the veil indeed is the veil.
Great talk and I really love RJ! I wonder what Fred Alan Wolf and Carlos Suarès would have to say regarding this hermenutic of Elohim [Aleph-Lamed-Hay-Vav-Mem (final)]? It seems that the Hebrew (mistranslated in English: Elohim) points to a transcendent process (The process of, for lack of a better description, the unconscious becoming conscious). RJ is asserting positive incarnations to said process of Elohim which at first glance seemed incompatible with the transcendent nature of Elohim. The question of ‘personality/form’ of ascended masters could be successfully treated, however, if one accepts that they are positivistic emanations from such transcendental processes of reality. Literally the form (‘child,’ as RJ says) of the formless!
we live in 2023 and the ascended masters then and now cannot compare...different times..different needs, different counsciouss overall....we don't need to go back but need to direct our counsciouss with the time and problems we encounter now ...we can't understand their ways then because we have different lives now.....

I love to hear R.J. but I must disagree with his interpretations on Sri Ramana Maharshi and Yogananda. Yogananda was a pupil of Sri Yukteswar (this being's life is found in "Autobiography of Yogi." Now, Ramana Maharshi had no teacher but the Source. So powerful was he that everyone and anyone who came in contact with his being was changed in the most profound way. There are numerous videos by the filmmaker, David Goodman that describes this being.
Anyway, that's my 2 cents.
Describing Such Beings as "A bit mesmerizing" is a huge Understatement! In the Presence of such
a Being, All that you thought you were begins to Dissolve, your mind falls away and ur ego begins to
melt into Nothingness so that all that remains is Pure Love and the Presence of the Divine....And yes, they can appear as an absolutely ordinary human being , that is until they wish to appear Otherwise.
I would respectfully Disagree that these highly evolved being have "arrived" that they are already "there" and that they have no further to evolve or learn...There is no End to such evolution, there is no Arrival point where you kick up ur heels and are Done...Even Solar Beings and Galactic Presence is Still in a process of never ending evolution.. To think there is an arrival point is to limit the Unlimited Presence of the Divine...The fact that there is no end to what we can become is indeed the very Beauty of IT.

Actual experience, is one of the answers!
Actually, the Soul is essentially an interim, or intermediary being ... called Agnishvatta, or Manasaputra, a `Son of Mind.' Its purpose is to bridge the animal with the Divine Kingdoms, and technically Earth Humanity is a sort of `hybrid' creature, in this regard. The relationship of the Soul with us is relatively temporary, thereby assisting each of us in a journey through the human phase of evolution. But the real evolution is that of the Monad, a spark of Divinity, the "jewel within the Lotus." So says the esoteric Eastern Wisdom, and modern Theosophy, at any rate, and my findings corroborate this 100%. Not that I recall incarnations from other kingdoms ... but I do know the past 7 or 8 as a human on Earth. And I would say there are tens of thousands behind *each* of us. The evolution of the Monad, through the Kingdoms, according to the Zohar is as follows: "The Breath becomes a stone; the stone, a plant; the plant, an animal; the animal, a man; the man, a spirit; and the spirit, a god." Here, the "Breath" is the Monad. So, the question might be answered with another question: As a person, what do you lack as of yet on the path of Becoming, on the road to Enlightenment, Liberation, Salvation or Moksha? In what ways are you not yet perfect?
The spirit world does not provide the hardships, one might say, which we experience in the flesh. It is said that there is no substitute for the experiences we undergo during each incarnation, and that our opportunities here do not come easily. In other words, there is nothing more precious & critical for our Soul's evolution and liberation than the current incarnation we are each experiencing. Given the times we live in, that would be true many times over ... even if, admittedly, some of us wish we could experience a bit less global turmoil. At times, we don't even appreciate our own hardships, but as my father used to put it, "No pain, no gain." Those four words embody deepest esoteric truth, but I believe the pertinence is to EARTH Humanity, and Earth evolution, while incarnation on some planets - even in this Solar System - is relative bliss. Venus is the planet with the most advanced Humanity locally, even though we should not look for Venusians in bodies of solid-liquid-gaseous density. Regardless, where Earth currently is, Venus once was. Where the most advanced Mahatma is today, we shall each, eventually be.
Our earliest incarnations into the human kingdom - from the animal, such as an evolved dog, cat, elephant or horse - are probably millions of years ago, if on this planet. Most of us, unless we are Buddhas, or have developed the higher siddhis, cannot accurately recall such lifetimes. But evolution is progressive, and one does *not* reincarnate as a lesser, or lower lifeform, even if one errs greatly, becomes a hardened criminal, or the kind of madmen we now see trying to run/destroy the world. Those guys are in for one helluva time in the lower bardo, but with few exceptions, even a complete screw-up actually makes progress in every single lifetime, even the ones that run amuck. In the long run, we do all reach Mastery, but the normal path will require many, many additional lifetimes for each of us. This cannot be short-circuited, avoided, or "opted out" of; rather, our progress can be hastened via the path of initiation. Alice Bailey's FIRST book from the Tibetan Master, in 1919, was called `Initiation: Human and Solar,' and any proper discussion or investigation of the Mahatmas, or Masters, cannot ignore this vital subject. Further, it should be noted that `ascension' is described as one of the highest of initiations ... and is certainly many, many lifetimes ahead of anyone who will read these words. But if you send me a few million clams, I'll make sure you get ascended, real quick. Right? Ha. Is joke, of course.
Other credible people report that there are no frequencies to ascend . Stefano Mathias, astounding recollections, said that it is a mistake to try and raise your frequency as we came here to embrace all frequencies including the first and second.
This is a clever man, well versed in the subject.
I feel that an altered ego has formed. There is a bit a bit of a defensive shell around the expected 'miracle story'.
As the Sufi master says "truth is often delivered in the mouth of a liar'. It's a good message nonetheless, always has been ,coming from the thousands who have repeated it.
Yes. Yes about the ego. Perhaps a photographic memory. As Jeffrey Wolf Green, whose astrology is in the lineage of Sri Yuktaswar. He points out that in final phases of developing full realization, one can slip into the a kind of egotism about spiritual mastery, yet not fully realized yet. This need to have so many technical answers is not a teaching from love and wisdom.
I would love to hear more specific detail of his own experiences to back up all his statements, also some of his personal history. He seems to contradict himself about what an ascended master is, were they created "done" or did they need to ascend? I am confused after hearing this talk.

I think it's the same as Delores Cannon describing the volunteers. And I am one. And I retired.
So, since everything happens as a simultaneity, there's nothing that needs to be learned or forgotten, it's all one, so make sure that you are loving all that is or isn't, enjoy the pain, enjoy the relief from pain, have no expectations, just love and serve. "What you think and intend, you also create somewhere in the universe," to paraphrase my dad. (That has big implications for the entertainment industries and who and how they serve.) I believe that I get to choose and create and destroy with the power of love. Am I wrong?
Who am I to judge as Right or Wrong what You want to believe?? .... If I am Not I, the moral judgement of your desires belongs to those who morally want to judge You ... From here and now, absolute indifference should be "my" moral judgement to your desires .... and what you desire for "Me" is already what you desire for You ...
