Why is the government not trying to fund for mental health service but they defunded it. There are a lot of guns that are stolen from people who collect them and end up in bad hands. Having a gun registry would make it easier for the government to confiscate those guns in the future.

Yes, other countries are doing well and I hope they continue to. But having a registry will make confiscation easier if the government decides to do it.
In the United States, people are not worried about cars being taken away because driving is a privilege, not a "right".
And "Rights", in the US, are not granted by the government. They are freedoms from the government. The US government does not allow its citizens to own guns. Owning a gun is an inherent right that all citizens have. So any policy proposal that can lead to those rights being taken away, is heavily criticized by U.S. citizens.

Gun violence in the United States is a complex problem. There is no one law that will solve or dramatically reduce gun deaths/injuries.
The best thing to do in the United States is to start aggressively researching the issue and get a much better understanding of the problem. In 2013, President Obama issued executive orders to multiple agencies to research gun violence. The "Center for Disease Control and Prevention" (CDC) was one of these agencies.
You can view their study here
      www.nap.edu/read/18319/chapter/3#15
This study was not conclusive by any means about the cause or solutions for gun violence. Even in the "Defensive Use of Guns" Section, it says that there are 500,000 - 3,000,000 million cases of defensive use of guns annually. To put these numbers in context, the study also says there are about 300,000 violent crimes committed with guns on average annually.
However, in the same paragraph, these numbers are disputed and further research needs to be done to arrive at any conclusive data.
I know it may seem like gun-violence is out of control currently, but this not entirely true. It only seems like it. According to the "National Institue of Justice", non-fatal firearm violence has decreased by about 50% since 1993. You can view this stat here:
      nij.ojp.gov/topics/articles/gun-violence-america
In fact, violent crime overall has been decreasing in the United States since the early '90s.
      www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2019/01/03/5-facts-about-crime-in-the-u-s/
To answer your question about how to find these people and keep them from owning guns, right now I don't have any solutions. I have seen statistics that the majority of firearms used in crimes are obtained from family and friends. But I didn't find those sources credible, so I don't have a source for that. If we assume that it's true, I cant see how stop it besides making a registry of firearm owners and we have already discussed why that isn't likely to happen.
Thank you for listening to what I've had to say.

Meghan McCain has no idea what she’s talking about. She thinks just because people want tighter & stricter gun control laws, they have no idea how to use a gun or the types of guns. Well I’m a Veteran who served active duty during wartime, and I don’t agree with any loose gun laws, that allow civilians/citizens to conceal carry around guns as if we are living in the Wild, Wild West of the 1800s. Serving in the military, they thoroughly train you with discipline and responsibility to use a gun properly. Most civilians are sensitive emotional creatures, who will use a gun the moment their feelings are hurt or just to boost their own ego. I love my guns too, but I don’t need to walk around with it at all times to boost my ego or look to start trouble with anyone. Because if you look for trouble, trust me, it will find you. Meghan sounds like she’s OK with these mass shootings and innocent children being killed or seriously injured in our country.
