  • Learn piano with the cheat sheet here: bestpianoclass.com/beginner
This is the easiest lesson to learn piano fast as an adult beginner. We start right from day 1, the beginning, with the names of the notes. Then we move onto the 3 essential pillars (these are the basics) for beginners. If you practice these daily, you’d be surprised how far you’ll get in 7 days, 21 days, or even better, in 30 days. Just start with lesson 1 and progress to lesson 2, lesson 3, and so on, the system works if you follow the roadmap.
In the series, you’re going figure out how to learn a piano song from the radio quickly - it SOUNDS impressive, but it’s actually easy to learn, and you can even use it as an accompaniment or as a melody, and later on in your journey it can help you learn piano by ear (you’ll sound like a pro). You can learn from scratch by yourself with this masterclass at home, online using a laptop, ipad or videos on your mobile phone.
We’re going to cover everything, a complete guide to music theory, basic major chords and chord progressions,(with easy pictures for ya) tips for rhythm patterns, and an exercise program to practice daily, it only takes about 5 minutes. As well as a couple hacks to learn the keys (ie the letters) now. You can practice these on an actual piano or an electric keyboard (yamaha’s are my faves!).
    Here’s what we’ll cover:
    00:00 Intro
    00:27 Names of the Notes
    01:48 Essential Pillar 1 - Foundations
03:28 Essential Pillar 2 - Key Daily Exercise
    05:44 Essential Pillar 3 - Learn a Song Here!
    06:18 Biggest Beginner Mistake [IMPORTANT]
Make sure you stick around to the end, for the BIGGEST mistake beginners make - trust me, you do not want to make this mistake, it can add years to your learning time… and I can teach you the quick fix in 39 seconds so you can learn without frustration.
If you're new to this, don't fret at all. This tutorial is tailored to start from zero for beginners but also, those at an intermediate or advanced level, can learn something as well. Whether you're an adult or a kid or a todler, (although it’s mainly aimed at adults) we kick things off easy enough at a gentle pace, breaking down the music theory step by step, focusing on one hand at a time (yes, including the Left Hand), and gradually moving to two hands, ensuring a frustration-free learning experience. You can move from Grade 1 to Grade 3 to Grade 5 with ease. This is just part 1.
I’ve had students learn at age 40, at age 50, at age 60 and even older - it’s just like learning your ABC’s Do Re Mi’s or numbers. Our goal is to guide you from the basics, covering technique and theory and scales, and help you master playing notes while steering clear of any undesirable habits (that you get if you learn with an app). Stick with us, and you'll have both hands working harmoniously by the end of it.
After lesson one, you can go onto play boogie woogie, classical, pop, jazz improvisation, christian music, gospel, worship music, or whatever else you want. Better than sight reading, synthesia, and the Stephen Ridley method. More info about my full course on the website.

P.S. The biggest beginner mistake at the END of the video can shave YEARS off your learning time. In fact, there's a good chance you're making this mistake right now and don't even realize it. But you'll see what I mean in the video...

So.. I just decided I want to learn how to play the piano and I got myself a 88key digital piano and I have a question. Do you all use sustain pedal on all the time? That full sound of it.. sounds so much better.. but can sound a little messy too…?? Huge difference in difficulty if you have it off and use it to sustain a note.. 1 of 1000 hits good..
what do u all use? I can’t find anything from Zach about it?

Hi Zach, am I right in thinking that a chord is any combination of a set of keys e.g. on your cheat sheet it shows E Minor as EGB but when playing the Adele song chords we play BEG.

You can adjust the playback speed. For me it’s in the settings icon - the ‘gear wheel’ in the upper right corner of the video. This is great and makes such a difference - sometimes I slow it down and sometimes speed it up

Can someone explain to me why the A minor chord starts with the C root note ?? Aaahhh so frustrating ! Is this because it’s a chord inversion ?

    • @drvinculum
      @drvinculum Před 5 měsíci +1

You’re correct. 4 of the 6 chords on his chart are inversions, not root position. He probably should have mentioned this just briefly to avoid confusion.
