    I own this bike. It's been a great bike. I made a few upgrades. Rear view camera and more lights. My only complaint, just like everyone else, distance.

    I was looking at the Aventon Adventure 2 and also the Favorite HYBRID PRO ST EBIKE which looks really appealing, but I love the fact that this bike has dual suspension (front & back) a more powerful motor, etc.. but how is support , where do I get support for it and parts? That is honestly my only concern holding me back from pulling the trigger. Thanks!

    Hi rear wobble could be the tyre is not seated right on the rim or tyre is not fully round/Evan construction.

    I've actually been looking around for an e bike to commute to work, its a 4 mile ride on a hilly terrain, I'm actually saving up for the Philodo H8 mostly because I like the fact there's an "ignition" key so to speak, and the all wheel drive should make those hills a lot easier. Last e bike I had was a DIY front hub motor one, which going up some hills had killed my battery on a full charge, finally put it to rest when I changed a flat on the front tire, I guess I didn't torque it down enough, and it came off on me when I was riding. Really enjoying your videos though!

    Most e-bikes have a slight delay before the motor kicks in when peddling. This is by design so that when you are stopped and you move the peddles forward slightly the motor doesn't immediately kick in when you're not expecting it.

    Did you ever mention or notice that this bike has cruise control? If you hold the throttle at a steady for so many seconds, you can eventually let go of the throttle and the bike will maintain that speed. I wish all e-bikes had cruise control because, sometimes, you just want to use the throttle and not peddle. It can get tiring to always have to be using the throttle.

    The size of the headlight is usually not indicative of how powerful the light actually is. It appears this bike's headlight is only for looks - to give it a motorcycle appearance. With LED technology, lights can now be very small and still be very powerful. We've all seen flashlights that have surprisingly strong power. I have two e-bikes. The one with the larger headlight is actually the weaker of the two.

    Looks like a good bike, but the brakes ruin it. Cheap and easy fix, but the buyer shouldn't have to go and buy a pair of 180mm+ disc rotors for $30-80 and adjust their brake pads to convert to larger brakes. They already have Hydraulic Brakes, that's the most expensive $60-150 upgrade, so it just doesn't make sense for the company to not spend the extra $1-4 extra it would have cost them to manufacture it with 180mm rotors instead of 160mm, to get better performance out of the hydraulic brakes.
    The reason 160mm disc brakes is unacceptable, is because that very long stopping distance means that even going at the 25-28 mph the motor is designed to achieve, is dangerous or even reckless, because a lot can go wrong before you can stop that bike. That means your real speed limit is more like 18-23 mph for safe stopping. You paid for a fast bike with hydraulic brakes, but now you have to slow down all the time just to make sure you'll be able to brake fast enough at the places where you might have to.
    Other than that, $1200 is a good price for a full-suspension fat tire bike with a 17.5 Ah battery that actually achieves 28 mph. Most cheap 750W e-bikes don't actually achieve 28 mph on motor. Most cheap 750W e-bikes don't have rear suspension. Most cheap 750W e-bikes don't even have hydraulic brakes, but even they usually have 180mm rotors. If you went out and bought a typical 750W e-bike, and you wanted to add rear suspension and hydraulic brakes, it would cost $150-300 just to buy and install them both yourself. And most cheap 750W e-bikes with 17.5Ah+ aren't going to have inframe batteries, which some people prefer. The largest in-frame batteries are 20Ah, but most in-frame batteries for 48V motors are only 10-16 Ah, typically 12.8-15 Ah for 750W. Larger batteries are usually external, mounted on the rear rack, under the seat, or attached to a tube of the frame. 17.5 Ah is about as big as you can go and still not look like some kind of high-powered e-bike to some people.
    If you don't mind the time and money to install 180mm rotors to your bike, then this could be a decent buy. If you're looking for a bike to use as-is, then don't buy this, the brakes really are crucial, they are unsafe but they also limit your speed because your speed is what you'd eventually willingly sacrifice for the sake of safety.

    I do not like it. No rear light except on seat. Poor brakes. Small battery. Overpriced even at $1300. $1300 is not cheap for me. It looks expensive but it is fake.

    • @MrCentralDriver
      @MrCentralDriver  Před 8 měsíci

      the goods at this price are the big front headlight, the big seat, and the rear suspension making this full suspension. the battery should be 20ah.
