Then you add in the facts that on camera the security guard let an unidentified individual into the gallery a few hours earlier Or the fact that one painting was in a room that during the robbery itself no one went into the only person that the alarm system shows going into that room was the security guard during an earlier security check that same night. On top of that this was without a doubt a robbery done by amateurs, not by an art thief considering the paintings were cut out of their frames (slash and grab).which is even more obvious when you add in the fact that more expensive paintings were left behind and the seemingly random choices of which painting to take.

My family had a burglary in the mid-80’’s in center city Philadelphia where a watercolor was stolen. Might not had been worth much then however today it would be worth thousands. I’d like to know where this is so my mom can rest easy knowing she got her artwork back. It may not have been an art museum however it was still stolen Art and needed to be fenced somewhere in Philadelphia or the surrounding area. The Artist was Howard Watson and it was a watercolor in old city on race street looking out race towards the Ben Franklin bridge. My Dad was taught art in Philly and traveled to many art shows with Howard. My Dad made a deal with Howard that if he couldn’t sell the picture that my Dad could make payments towards it. Howard agreed.....

It's possible that it's a sentimental theft, not by the nouveau riche because that's what they brag about. The client may be a woman, because women remember longer and are vengeful. 13 things are stolen, one is important, 12 are stolen to divert attention from this one. They should be interested in who owned the stolen objects in front of the museum. Under what circumstances were they acquired by the museum?
