- So after the LTD, I ended up ordering this to compliment the LTD unit I have. The guitar is a beast. What a wicked weapon of mass destruction it is.

My ESP Alexi will be here tomorrow I can't wait. Glad you liked the first one enough to get the second. I do think that ESP quality is superior. I've owned LTD, Edwards, Navigator and ESP plus ESP Custom shop, I feel the lynch guitars and custom shop are better than any other guitars anywhere. I love ESP
@TH34C30F5P4D35 I was referring to neck dive, which means that, if the guitar's weight is not balanced and the neck is heavier than the body, the guitar will "dive" towards the headstock, making it difficult to play while standing and using a strap. I hope ghostrider didn't mean dive bombs with the floyd...
Cheapest I have found the Edwards on Ebay is $1,500. I would rather pay $700 more and get the actual ESP. Most expensive I have found this Edwards for was $2500 (no way in hell)

@pippynugget The pull-out knob was for his gain boost, not switching.
I just noticed this and read online that the ltd version has longer fins because of lawsuit reason with jackson and the Edwards one has the normal sized fins
owned a bunch of guitars, epiphone, gibson, prs, schecter, but i always come back to my LTD guitars, ESP sure makes some superior products! and living in norway, and with the dollar being so weak, buying an ESP model for less than a LTD 200 model would cost me is awesome
@gh05trider9 thats what i was afraid of. i have a older washburn that i am borrowing from my dad. it has a floyd and it seems that i really have to turn the fine tuner alot just to get to drop D. thx for your fast response to my questions.
@pippynugget Alexi used to use the MM-04 gain boost and just a regular volume knob, the MM-04 has the mini-switch to activate it. His new signature pickup (EMG ALX with ABQ) has the push/pull knob activated gain boost. Hope this helps =]

I did it back in 2005. I have a Esp kh2 neck thru cs left handed.
It took more than 9 months to arrive, I had to order it as a CS order model as it wasn't available lefty if I remember well at the time.
I won't pay that big money and hold that time again :)
I was thinking to sell it and get a ESP CS but I don't know...
The kh2 is more complete in the end.

he used blackouts for i think like a year or 2 on one of his instructional dvds he uses blackouts

Thanks for the Ebay link. I went to it and he does have some nice stuff. Wish he had more. Looking for a Fender Tele with HB/SC set-up or a G&L. I'll keep checking his site.

Dude, The EMG ALX is just the F-H2 thats stock in the Ltd Alexi Blacky and Scythe, plus a volume pot with EMG's attempt at replicating ESP's MM-04 preamp booster.

hey man don't beat yourself up about your playing, I think your picking is amazing and great tone, so many metal players out their can play fast and have terrible tone. Anyways awesome guitar and love your videos

That guitar looks the same one TK just bought. Those are some scalloped frets my friend. LOL Hard to play? Which Mesa 2x12 is in the background? Does it give you good bass response?

Congratulations.
Slipknot's music is actually quite hard to play. Post a video of you playing some of their songs just like Mick if it's so easy, or you could do the same speed down picking as in his Guitar World video if you don't mind.

Im curious about the gain boost switch, is it really noticeable? can it be replaced by some gain/booster pedal? wished i had the pink one! Would be cool to see a demo about it!!
You can setup the gain boost between 4 and 18dB so yes it can be really noticeable !

I'd like to get that guitar ( I already had an Edwards ), unfortunately I'm left handed.
I asked many dealers for it left handed but seems Edwards do not make them custom.
I can't afford another ESP custom now... So I'm quite disappointed...

is it difficult to change tunings of the guitar when u have a floyd with lockers? do u have to loosen the lockers or can u go from 440 to drop c with just the fine tuners. thx

i love your collection. I myself am a huge fan of ESP I have owned 3 and soon to be 4. i own a ESP Horizon and have and LTD as well that i am selling to make way for a better LTD. I am very interested in these Edwards. Do they make Hetfield Explorers still in Japan?

so your the guitar professor , first of all no one plays the same so how could he play it like the CD and they tune differtly for every song and the guitars sometimes have 11 's or higher and tuned IN B D or whatever they feel like ,so you must have a hundred guitars tuned differently your awesome
