Have you looked into the ziss brand brine shrimp hatchery? It's a little expensive but it's by far the best hatchery out there especially if you need bigger volume. Highly recommend
@@gl1tchy69 lol no. They hatch with an egg yolk attached to them and they absorb that for a couple of days so feeding isn't necessary during that time. After it's absorbed then you can feed them baby brine shrimp or some other small powdered food
I love this! Not only do you breed fish as a sellable product, you basically grow your own pets and you grow their food! Then you and your Goldies become famous and profitable on line! Pure genius 😁
Nice and simple! My hatchery is just a big soda bottle that I set fill about halfway up with water, salt and brine shrimp eggs. Then I put it in my fry tank and secure it with a clothes pin and put in airline tubing from above and all the way to the bottom. Putting it in the fry tank keep the brine shrimps the same temperature as the water in the fry tank, so I dont need separate lights and/or warmth for the hatchery. It works like a charm! 😊
Best part about this when you want to harvest turn off or disconnect the pump/air tubing and when the brine shrimp are at the bottom you can quickly remove the valve and have the brine drain out
One of my teachers made my class hatch brine shrimp once. All we did was fill a container with salt and water and put the eggs in. But your way is probably more efficient
Any recommendations on how to cleanly extract the brine shrimp and separate it from the unhatched eggs / shells? That has always been an issue regardless of using a light source etc.
You can buy brine shrimp nets that have extremely small mesh so you can rinse off the saltwater. If you don't mind spending a little money buy a ziss brand brine shrimp hatchery and some aquarium co-op brine shrimp eggs, you'll never have shells mixed in with the shrimp
If you take the hatchery to a darker room, you can shine a light on the bottom of it. They should be attracted to the light. You can then suck them up with some type of syringe. Prime Time Aquatics made a video about it, you’ll have to check it out. I may have remembered incorrectly
yes indeed, but no matter how careful you are, this method still manages to capture some of the unhatched eggs and shells Thanks for your suggestion and feedback. You are absolutely right in that the brine shrimp gets drawn to the light making it easier to use a syringe to extract them
You could just buy a bottom feeder, or sand sifter of some sort. I have a horseshoe crab. They like to eat the shells. That way you’re working with nature, instead of against it.
Would a regular air stone work? I feel like if you already have the air pump and clear line you probably already have an air stone too. Feels so much easier than this
I got one of those Discovery mind blown microscope sets with brine shrimp eggs in it, and I want to set up a mini-business selling brine shrimp to fish keepers to upkeep a budget at hand to raise my tortoise, so any tips perhaps?
I just use one of those small travel breeder boxes, add salt, put brine shrimps eggs, no air or any of this setup. I even turn the light off when I go to bed. And I get 85-95% hatch rate.

When do you start feeding baby goldfish after they hatched?
About 2 days
Wait so they're forced to don't eat anything for 2 DAYS? 😳😳

*60 seconds later*
"Yeah, I can't do this"
very cool, I usually use an air stone spreads the bubbles and works great
Five minute crafts just got so much better

This is better than 5 minute crafts
yooo I should do this. It'd be so much easier than buying frozen brine shrimp cubes all the time

This is helpful
I don’t need this, but i watched it
Luke we need giga Chad army updates!!!!
Soon!
At the beginning It looked like you were making a home made hookah
Water bottle bong building experience not required but helpful
I gotta question, do they taste nice or can be used as a Food source?
" Jesse, we need to hatch"
Should add valve to close air line when haverst, it make it alot easier
I’d recommend putting one of those stones on the end of the air tube so it makes a bunch of tiny bubbles so there isn’t vigorous movement of the water
My mans just made a minecraft farm irl
This man just cut straight through a glass Voss bottle.
By us, in the Midwest, they have plastic ones...
when you said “one-way valve” i cringed because hospitals usually use something similar for IV’s and it brought back the feel of fluid in my veins 😟
What do you use a brine shrimp hatchery for?
The hatchery turns brine shrimp to live shrimp then you feed the fishies
Thanks
do you have to use dechlorinated water for this? or just tap water
Feed the tube through a bit more and add an air stone at the end for smaller bubbles
Finally a use for those ridiculously priced waters lol
Would a regular air stone work? I feel like if you already have the air pump and clear line you probably already have an air stone too. Feels so much easier than this
Me who's never owned a fish and probably never will: _ah yes, interesting_
My friend use the bottle that has a grey cap as a water bottle
Do you need to add water conditioner to brine shrimp hatcheries. Would it kill off the eggs or freshly hatched ones
I cannot move fast enough to do this in 60 seconds, will work on it
What can you feed these too besides Goldie’s?
The eggs bruh
The forbidden cocoa powder
Where do you get those bottles with those "fancy caps"? Like, which brand or where can you get it?
I got one of those Discovery mind blown microscope sets with brine shrimp eggs in it, and I want to set up a mini-business selling brine shrimp to fish keepers to upkeep a budget at hand to raise my tortoise, so any tips perhaps?
What brand of BBS you're using?
What water brand has that kind of tip?
I won't do this soon most likely but I want to
How do you water change this?
The brine shrimp eggs looked like coffee grounds lol
Is there a difference between these brine shrimp and wild ones?
I see you used Voss
Fun fact:it's accuntly just Norway's tap water filled in a falsk
Is it optional to put the pump in, I heard they can survive without the pump.
You don't have to remove chlorine ?
I honestly don't know but would a diffuser be better cuz the open airline seems a little aggressive
Please make an update video!
Bro, the way he took a spoonful of eggs like it was Milo powder or something
Where did you get/buy the baby brine shrimp eggs??
Me thinking he’s gonna make a delicious shrimp boil 🙄🫣🤣💀
Wouldn’t the bubbles damage to the brine shrimp eggs?
imagine your one of those tiny eggs left on the spoon oof
Can you do something similar with blood worms?(for my axolotl)
What do I do when they hatch?
And you get a yummy snack on your spoon after! 😋
Question: How do you wire the greenhouse safely?
Omg brine shrimp airline ✈️
