This is my Parfums DeMarly Carlisle Review, Parfums DeMarly Carlisle Fragrance Review. This is a fragrance I have known since January 2017 when I bought my bottle at the Paris Parfums De Marly boutique and since then I have loved wearing this intense, deep and rich beauty from Parfums De Marly. Carlisle is the best of Parfums De Marly Herod and Parfums De Marly Layton. It's absolutely a delicious almost gourmand fragrance. My favorite from the house and I do own a bottle of this. My top 4 in order.
1. Carlisle
2. Herod
3 Oajan
4. Layton
Carlisle is all rose and the other flower on my skin. I smelled like a hot chick 😂
I will give it another try but I have the feeling this one is going to be for my wife to wear. It's a beautiful scent though.
This is an amazingly intoxicating fragrance. I am sad that my sample is all gone. This was a love at first sniff for me and I haven't experienced that since smelling GIT (which is my all-time favorite fragrance). The apple note with the nutmeg is so beautifully done with a touch of saffron. On the dry down I get a dry sandalwood vibe. Some sources say it has guaiac wood in it, so I am not sure if it is coming from that or not, but I certainly get a wood chip feeling from the dry down.
From the first smell of Layton I knew that I had to buy a full bottle. Carlisle is the same for me, I own a 10ml decant of it and every time I smell/wear it it makes me happy. PDM is by far my favorite niche house. Epitomizing luxury and class. Would love to win a full bottle of Carlisle!

This is an amazing scent. I was lucky to have a Nordstrom’s that has this fragrance to smell. I still think Layton exclusiv is my favorite

I like Perfume de Marley. I like Herod because of the tobacco and have smelt both Layton and the exclusif version at my local Nordstrom. I feel the original is more approachable but the exclusif had an interesting deeper almost darker quality to it. Percival was good from what little I remember and Galloway was nice,easy, almost light. Oh and no Carlisle here yet in Texas so excited to take a sniff when it arrives! Good stuff Sebastian keep sharing your awesome discoveries with all of us!
I own 11 parfums the marly, Carlie is definitely one of my favorites. Bought Akaster but it smelled to feminine for my nose so giving it as a valentines 💝.
I ordered a decant of herod from perfumes samples and decant after watching your review and I really love it. I'm definitely going to try this one out. Thanks for another great video.

THIS IS A BANGER. Top notch frag. Good note comments, Sebastian. I agree - I think that this one does take from Layton and Herod. And I really like the subtle touch of rose and fruity osmanthus. Beautifully blended. Sublime journey .

True, I have tested & it's somehow in between Layton & Herod.
Yet; to my nose, it is more like an older brother of Herod of which/whom is more sophisticated & powerful.
The Saffron note is what I think separates these 2 brother.
Just got a sample of this beautiful fragrance and absolutely love it. Really enjoy Herod, and Layton.

For me, Parfums de Marley only made those two; Lippizan and Herod. ( really recommend you try Lippizan, an amazing classic)

As usual, amazing review Sebastian. This one is among my top 5 of all time (Aventus, Colonia Leather, Tobacco Vanille and Naxos).
Blind bought this with your help, and I agree it is delicious (really good for fall) and it lasts for a ridiculously long time. I like it a little bit more than Herod, they have some similarities but this is a brighter take on "spice". If Herod is putting your nose in a pouch of drier cinnamon spiced tobacco, this is like putting your nose in a honeyed moist tobacco. Lovely.
It feels like if Mugler decided to make a $300 A*Men flanker I think this is what they would make :)
Sounds great. I have tried most of the PDM line... not this one or Oijan though... I do like the notes
I only own three from this house.....Layton, Layton Exclusif, and this beauty.
Carlisle is a gorgeous deep, warm and rich fragrance with a truly amazing dry-down.
Bottle worthy for sure if you can swallow the cost, wear this on a winter night out with a smart black shirt and dark jeans if you are looking for fun.
Can I just say that you are the number one reviewer in my opinion, I love this channel and have ordered some Jovoy samples based on your endorsement of the brand.
You also put me onto Diptyque Tempo which I bought a full bottle of.
Could you review some bar soaps as I prefer soap to shower gels.

Carlisle is a girly scent. Layton and Layton exclusif are so delicious and very masculine.

Green apple , dried apricots , tobacco , rose and tonka and vanilla in the base - sounds fantastic.
Love my bottle of Delina .. i mean “regular” Delina - haven’t tried Exclusif yet.I also really like Oajan .

I actually think this is the best Marley by a long way. Gourmand apply/oudy vanilla that's much safer than Herod/Habdan and not an ambre naguile identikit like Oajan

Toss up between Layton exclusif and Herod for my favorites...but that might change once I get to smell this one.

It starts with a huge clove smell almost gives medicinal vibe to it and after awhile it turns into oudi apple pie with burst of cinnamon.

On my skin, it gives chocolate like vibe. Be cautious though, you have to go easy on the trigger, I'm in Scotland right now, and the temperature is around 10 degrees celcius, and I still feel it's overwhelming. Max two sprays

Do review on Shagya, its very underrated but its so damn good. Oud and lime i get the most from Shagya.

Initial spray... Wow!! Stunning!!. A wonderful, deep, rich and balanced composition. It’s beyond spectacular! This will easily be a Top 10, all time favourite niche for me. It’s everything I expected it to be and more. Projection is unworldly!!! This is going to get a LOT of love.

It was also an exclusive at Harrod's London store too. UK reviewers were able to get their hands on it before people in the USA even with samples.
It was also available at Dubai Duty Free at the airport. I had smelled it and was convinced this was the best of the line. I think this was in 2017 summer. I currently own 3 from this house: Herod, Habdan and Pegasus. This is the next purchase.
Smells like herod but thicker and sweeter but sets closer to the skin lacking herod’s projection by a bit

Thanks for the video, I have it and it’s an olfactory bomb, I love a lot; and for me it’s seem to Mugle Pure Malt, except that this one has Malta and it smells a lot like that and Carlisle smelled like Tabacco. and being honest I prefer Pure Malta, it's delicious, of my fragrances for life and it's also economical, but Carlisle is still very beautiful
I agree pure malt is amazing. Carlisle is a flowery smell, very feminine. Since you love pure malt I have to say you will probably really like Layton and Layton exclusif. Both are amazing and very masculine.

I have a bottle of PDM pegasus and its such a high quality juice!!!!!
The one word that comes to mind immediately when I look at and smell my pdms it is 'decadence' .. I have a bottle of Carlisle the presentation is pure luxury decadence and so heavily solid in hand. It is one of the few fragrance bottles i can enjoy just holding or touching it. The fragrances are pure riiiiichness. Full throttle richness and decadence they don't make any apologies or hesitations in the scents.

Layton exclusif is their best one so far. Carlisle is pretty good but a little too feminine for a guy to pull it off

Hey Sebastian, I wonder what you'd say how it does smell compared to Manceras Red Tobacco, since I've heard they are similar. Actually i tried to combine Layton and Herod and what can i say... the result smells fairly like the heartnote of Red Tobacco. I'm about to buy Carlisle, but if it's true that it smells so much like the Mancera (which I just like) it would be a pass for me. Have a great day :-)
