Are you a nice person or is it because I like red heads ?
I'm 60 and no other artist's have made me feel like the way Klara and Johanna do. Just amazing to me.
When First Aid Kit sang to Emmylou Harris at a consert, they made her cry, because of the lyrics and their good singing.
They did the same to Paul Simon and Patti Smith.
@@darkiee69 and Patti Smith. And it wasn't a concert. It was a tribute during the polar music prize in Sweden. Think of it as the Nobel prize for music.
@@MrFelixify That's why i wrote Both Paul Simon AND Patti Smith. And I know what Polar music prize is, I'm a Swede. And it is kind of a concert, within the prize ceremony.
@@darkiee69 my comment was made for the original comment. not you. idk why you where tagged like that. Oh right, because the comment system sucks. that's why
@@MrFelixify You clicked answer on that reply comment. That is why.
Their tribute concert for Leonard Cohen was spectacular and heartbreakingly beautiful. Watching it on CZcams was very emotional, so I can't imagine what it must've been like in the room.
✌️
I love them, their harmonies are so exquisite. Their covers of Paul Simon’s “America” and Patti Smith’s “Dancing Barefoot” and pretty spectacular.
They do a great version of "Running Up That Hill" by Kate Bush.
I bought Emmylou Harris's Elite Hotel right back in the day (still treasure it) and when I saw First Aid Kit doing an acoustic 'My Silver Lining' at the London Southbank for| Latitude in the City My mind was blown again! When they played Emmylou for Emmylou herself, I knew that they were very special! They produce celestial harmonies with so much sincerity. Just love them to bits. So glad that they as so prolific I cant get enough.
There’s a few voices that make me feel goosebumps regularly, this one is one of them.
Their version of the Black Sabbath classic protest song "War Pigs" is pretty badass!
what a beautiful interpretation of this hymn.....thank you ! .....and thanks to Leonard Cohen for writing it.......
I am glad I'm not the only one who thinks of Leonard's songs as hymns
I absolutely love First Aid Kit. They’re so talented, and seem like they’re sweet people. I’d love to see them in concert. I’d also love to see Johanna take more leads though. She usually only gets a verse or two for each song, with Klara doing the lead for the majority of all of their work.
They've made three great artists cry at the Polar prize ceremony: Emmylou Harris, Paul Simon, and Patti Smith.
✌️
First Aid Kit, YES!!!! So much talent!
First Aid Kit never cease to amaze and move me.
Their live cover of America at the Polar prize ceremony is maybe my favorite performance ever.
I wrote this exquisite Leonard Cohen lyric in a card for my mum when my stepdad died.
First Aid Kit, apart from being immensely talented, have fine taste.
Their Emmylou Harris dedication at the Polar Price in 2015 is a gem!
Their talent is out of this world
I am glad you are covering First Aid Kit. Wonderful musicians.
Truly the pride of Sweden ❤️🇸🇪❤️
Luv you to bits, Beth - thanks to you I get to learn to love favorite songs for even more reasons. Keep up the great work!
I love this. I've listened to their recording several times over on the back of this reaction.
Top of the line Swedish quality 😊💖 And Beth, you are adorable 😍
Nice! I have wanted to suggest First Aid Kit for a while now! Amazing girls!
More. First. Aid. Kit!!!!!!
THE PRECIOUS BETH ROARS !!! ❤️❤️❤️
So probably this came up to my timeline cause the algorithm knows that this is my favorite song. I’m so happy this version exists. Anohni’s version will be always my favorite but this one seems quite inspired by hers. I know that you were supposed to criticize their version and I really enjoyed your review but how come you don’t mentioned every five seconds how beautiful this song is? The lyrics and the composition. Sometimes I get so overwhelmed by the perfection of Cohens words. This song is a prayer about inspiration, about permission to dare to write. It’s a prayer to the light with in us. God, I love this song 😀
DARN Beth!!! I have never heard them before. Now I have more music to buy!!!!! It is all your fault!!!! Still sending a hug from across the pond. (U.S.)
These girls are stupid good.
@@McDevittMike Mr. Mike, I found that out today!!!
Love First Aid Kit
Everyday something different to listen to... Quite a nice voice.
Thanks for listening
I can’t believe I finally found other fans of their’s. No one I’ve met have even heard of them. So good, thanks for the review.
Also, thank you so much for this Beth.
Love First Aid Kit and looking forward to seeing them in concert in August.
Beth if you’re taking requests would you do an analysis of their song Fireworks
Thanks.
I love them, my favourite is Wolf
Very good analysis
First Aid Kit are one of my favourites
Thanks for the reaction video. First aid kit is a great group. I recommed you to a Swedish artist Anna Ternheim. To be gone
Thank you. I have wanted others to experience this group. Please look at their very interesting story.
Bonita melodía grandes voces 👏👏🍀🍀
You should do First Aid Kit performing Waltz for Richard live on Sideshow Alley
I think it's time one of you vocal coach reactors had a go at 4 Non Blondes singing What's Up. If it's not a unique vocal delivery it's certainly very individual. And such a great song.
Love leonards songs re done!
Once you hear the various songs these gals have covered, you realize their parents must have had an awesome music collection.
Their father actually played in a pop/punk band 😊 but they’ve always said they prefer the more quiet music.
@ Guess they did that cover of Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” to keep Dad happy.
@@HughCorbyCruick I think so too 😀 they’ve also covered Hearts song Crazy on you. And their own You’re the Problem here is a real hard rocker 👍🏻
Early on they recorded a couple of songs live in the forest (an homage to the Fleet foxes cover video that catapulted them into international recognition).
They are are really nice natural intimate recordings
First Aid Kit - Fireworks. This is a Great song!
Would love to see u do some more tool vids
Was about to say First Aid Kit when you said there is no harmony after Mama Cass a while ago.
Please react to more of this and maybe even Lykke Li, she has a very unique raw sound. If Black Cab sessions are still around you should listen to it, or the toilet session for a genuine irl acoustic.
Routine- Ninet Tayeb & Steven Wilson In the Royal Albert Hall would be a fantastic one to react to, Ninet has an amazing voice and that performance she's able to just FILL that whole venue with sound even when it's empty, gives me chills every time
I’d be interested in hearing you talk about Bon Iver, or more specifically Justin Vernon’s different vocal styles.
Gotta love Cohen!
Watch First Aid Kit doing backing vocals to Ane Brun's performance in 'Do you remember?' czcams.com/video/1lI30Qw69AQ/video.html
Check out anything by The Milk Carton Kids, another amazing harmony duo. I suggest Michigan, New York or maybe Younger Years.
The Everly Brothers also did some great harmonies. I recommend Long Time Gone.
It would be interesting to talk to some of the backup singers, and instrumentalists to see/hear what they think of the sisters.
That gave me so many goose bumps I look like a porcupine!
Hope she reacts to Hold On by Chord Overstreet Live Acoustic
Weeping over CZcams again, yet again. for First Aid Kit.
Sei bellissima Beth
Please do - "Joan Baez canta "Diamonds And Rust" ao vivo (1978)"

Beth! Check out Counterfeit Shrines by Eidola. Andrew Wells is such an awesome singer
Bethany chilling in a sweater and I am being burned in 35C° weather
Ha! It's hot today now! :)
Your commentary is smart, insightful and I love it.
Beth bella 😍
Listen to their song “Silver Lining”
As far as this song goes, I’m afraid it’s owned by Antony Hegarty, Anohni/Hegarty who sang it at a Leonard Cohen tribute concert way back some time.
No criticism of this cover but….
Beth, please give a listen to the 1961 recording of " Hurt" by Timi Yuro. I believe you'll enjoy it. Thank you.
First Aid Kit are great, but have you heard The Webb Sisters version of this song, which they performed live with Leonard Cohen at London?
Please react to Christina Perri Jar of Hearts (10 anniversary acoustic) Thank you.
Please check out jewel’s 1997 performance of foolish games. She’s phenomenal and I’m sure you’ve heard the song before
Love your channel Beth! Anyway you can react to video game music? Specifically the Final Fantasy 14 "Weight of the World (Prelude Version)"
Could You react to Beatles? Probably their Best vocals are helter skelter, oh darling and the abbey road medley
You need to do Ruth Sapiera/ Rain of Sorrow. Her channel is called R S with space.
Please react to" Ana Carolina e Seu Jorge: É isso aí "
Can you please react to Sonata Arctica - Full moon [live] in Japan.
That song is probably one of the best songs I've ever heard, also the best live performance ever.
For me the sisters Söderberg is the closest to the Wilson (heart) sisters we got 😊
My passaggio is a three foot thick brick wall.
No matter who sings it. You can hear him singing from his window in the tower of song.
Can you please react to CNCO “toxica” live 🙏🏼 o really really love their harmonies 😍💕
React to their song "i found a way" along with what others are recommending. It was in a videogame Life is Strange 2. Life is strange is the best game series ever imo and it has the best soundtracks ever too.
Puddle by joey eppard, Puddle by joey eppard, Puddle by joey eppard, Puddle by joey eppard, you won’t regret it. Pls n thanks. Love the channel
LENNY CROWIN SONG , GROOVY
🤘🏼🇸🇪🇸🇪
Very good version. But have to ask , have you heard The Webb Sisters version from Leonard Cohen’s Live in London? Because this version seems very much rooted in the Webb Sisters version, in the same way than many version of Hallelujah follow the Buckley template (which was itself based on John Cales version, but I digress).
For a request I'm going to hop in the wayback machine to suggest talking about the 'International Sweethearts of Rhythm' which had some "soundies" made back in the 40's. czcams.com/video/WczP3PyHt20/video.html
The band story is probably the most insane in history from starting at the Piney Woods School - who's principal (and first band director)survived a lynching and convinced the mob to fund the school... to facing arrests for breaking Jim Crow laws themselves.
Could those two voices sound any more magical? If you were out at sea those harmonies could make you lose control of your vessel.
Beth react to trio mandili
Please react to some Joan Baez song* , she's one of the greatest female singers of all time and has so little recognition.
* Suggestions: Love Song to a Stranger and Diamonds and Rust.
Leonard Cohen brought you this song.
their live performances are as good as studio
Picture Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow you will not be disappointed
Leonard would be proud! I hadn't heard this version before your reaction. The Webb Sisters version with the man himself will always be my favourite czcams.com/video/O_XcMAGZjuY/video.html
Beth, how about a review of Grace Potter? "Low Road" czcams.com/video/tgc5l9X3Dn4/video.html Thank you for your consideration.

Unexpected song choice from you to react to I would say. Definitely not their best songs, but still great :)
it's pretty good,Anohni'(formerly Antony)s version of this is still my favorite, but her voice isn't for everyone.
I love this song, but to be honest I prefer the original Leonard Cohen version or the Webb Sisters. Now this may be just a matter of what I'm used to, but that is my preference. I think the reason for preferring the original is largely because while I would not describe Leonard Cohen as a better singer, far from it, but because it was so personal to him, it was as he described it as a "prayer" rather than a song.
I prefer the other Swedish group Good Harvest like David Crosby does too.
Nej, du gør ej!
what a beautiful interpretation of this hymn.....thank you ! .....and thanks to Leonard Cohen for writing it........
