Donna's son, Charlie Adelson, was found guilty of similar charges for hiring a hitman. Markel was in a bitter custody battle with Donna's daughter, Wendi Adelson. If anyone thinks Wendi is innocent in this shocking murder, they clearly haven’t been paying attention. She’s as guilty as if she pulled the trigger, and she’s 9 years overdue to be arrested.
I believe she is the true mastermind and she’s the only one without physical evidence so she’s going to walk free unfortunately. But we all know she’s a murderer.

Just wanted to add, if I was by happenstance driving by my ex-husband's house, who was still the father of our children at that point, I would have rushed past the crime scene tape and up to the house to find out what was going on, even if only for concern of the children. Wendi is evil.

1) She had no reason to be at the scene of the crime that day. It was no shortcut to the liquor store she was going to.
2) She is the only one who knew Danny's gym schedule, that the boys would be at school that morning & that Danny was going out of town the next day.
3) She set up her boyfriend /ex-boyfriend to be the fall guy.
4) She had motive - Danny was going after her law license and the money / heirlooms / inheritance that she illegally concealed during divorce negotiations. Danny was also limiting Donna's access to the kids because of her badmouthing him in front of the kids. Danny was not capitulating to her demands to have the kids move to SF with her.
5) The elaborate broken TV cover story. Broke months before the murder and remained that way to be conveniently assessed for repairs or replacement on the day of Danny's murder.
6) She lied about not hating Tallahassee and wanting to move home to S Florida. Told Georgia K during Charlie's trial that relocation was not the most important factor in the divorce, yet emails between her and Donna reveal that indeed relocation was the one non-negotiable.
Great breakdown. She’s pure evil. Claims to care about her kids and absolutely doesn’t. Just wants power.

In the long interview on the day of the murder, Wendi told a detailed description of how she drove down Trescott. She then ran into the yellow crime tape and turned around. She repeated the same story to her friend in the police station tape. In the court hearing, the cop testified that he saw a “car matching the description of her car” coming down Trescott and turning around at the crime tape. But in the three court cases, Wendi denied driving down Trescott. Perjury anyone?
She knew he was he was dead. Thats why she drives by. Normally the people that do the murder or know of the murder. Always go back to the scene of the crime .
She never asks about her kids!! The murder conveniently took place after the kid drop off. Guilty AF.
For me, she did “very well on the stand” because she’s a sociopath/narcissist who is actually very emotionless when she needs to lie to save herself. Most of us “normal” people would be super rattled by this whole thing, not smoothly maneuvering with little one-line answers. She practiced for this monotone level of responses or was tutored by an “expert”.

There is no way she didn’t know all of it. She was not sheltered, not. She was the one who told them when Dan would not be with the kids, and when it had to be done before he left the town which was the next day!!!! No way she is making hitman “joke” an hour before he is sh*t and doesn’t know. Then she drives by the crime scene.

She set Jeffrey up to be accused of murder and setting Charlie up was her backup plan. She pointed at her brother in case he was arrested then she looks innocent; like they did this behind her back. Wendi drove 9/10ths of a mile down winding Trescott Drive to the crime scene tape where Officer Brannon saw her turn around. She admitted to seeing the crime scene tape and that’s the only place she could see it.
Wendi's job was the set Jeffrey up as a suspect. Luckily for Jeffrey he had left town a day early and never told Wendi. Excellent police work to watch hours of bus tapes to catch the shooters following Dan M. before the shooting. Those 2 events broke the case wide open.

Circumstantial evidence is, at times, the best evidence. This is one of those times. The provable circumstances against wendi are overwhelming. The beyond nasty custody battle(motive). Donna’s emails to wendi proving how entrenched wendi was with donna and their hate for Dan. Wendi in the interrogation admits she was wondering if she were a suspect even though the detective hadn’t told her Dan was shot. Driving by the crime scene, implicating Jeff, there’s more, but Georgia knows every single detail to put forth for a perfect circumstantial case. The hate starts with wendi and transfers to Donna,and her family. The FATHER OF A WOMAN’S children is not killed by ex in laws unless the mother of those kids authorizes the hit.
So true. A lot of people think it's a negative thing to have circumstantial evidence. But enough of it in its totality is often the best evidence.

A good thing to recall from this family of unsavory immoral characters is that WENDI ADELSON IS A VERY INTELLIGENT LEGALLY SAVY WOMAN. I believed every word he said on the stand - - -he has absolutely No Reason To Lie and Nothing To Personally Gain from Lying in this CASE. When he spoke about telling Wendi he was going out of town on the day of the murder - - and her knowing he would be likely driving by that location - I do not doubt for a moment that she was happy to lump evidence pointing in his direction - - even if not 100% compelling - - just to spread the doubt and suspicion and be less and less a favorite for the crime. It is ridiculous to believe anything Charlie proposed about Catherine Magnanua doing this herself to extort from him. She worked with him - enjoyed expensive gifts and had a nice steady job with the family with perks. Why would she single out a member of their family and hire her ex on her own ! ? So since the Jury Obviously Does Not Believe That ( Neither do I ) = = the Only Persons Benefitting From the Death of Dan Markel is the ENTIRE ADELSON FAMIILY. Wendi knew about this murder prior to it happening. The tv screen was broken by her I truly believe this. As Lacasse stated during his testimony the way the screen was cracked was done with a force her kids didn’t have. I diagnosed this case for the last 6 years. Wendi is definitely guilty. Proving it is another thing.

I can't get my head around how Wendi drove by Dan's house saw the road blocked and yellow tape.. knowing Dan had the kids and yet didn't stop to ask what happened...Didn't call Dan to ask what was going on..
She also had a convenient alibi of a repairman for a TV that had a busted screen which wouldn't take a genius to know it was unrepairable...I think Wendi knew but she stayed out of the details to protect herself..

When LaCasse had to fetch Pepto for her on the first murder attempt, plus the financial windfall, relocation, change of name, crime scene visit, and most importantly, the never heard hearing where Donna would be denied visitation unsupervised and her concealing assets, points toward guilt. It’s a lot of little things for Wendi but bet your life she knew and gave the ok. State should proceed and if she prevails, so be it.

Wendi said she was “on the phone and not paying attention” when she approached the crime scene (“taking a shortcut”) so prosecutors: please ask who was she talking to and check her phone records. She details that morning several times but only mentioned “being on the phone” one time then, which I think is because it was a lie and she realized she shouldn’t repeat it lest you think to check her phone records and find out she was lying.
They have checked her phone records and they know she was on the phone with Charlie not long before the murder. Suspicious much!
According to the police who was at the tape and testified, it was between 12:45 and 1pm that Wendy was there. Her phone records show - and she testified - that she was taking to a Jeff K. A lawyer based overseas. She got off phone at 12:46 and he called back but 00 time was recorded. She either didn’t pick up because she had a call to make on a burner phone or WhatsApp, or wanted to digest the confirmation of the murder, or busy turning. She went to so much trouble premeditating the coordination of her interactions and delay tactics with Dan for the morning of the murder, I don’t need any more proof of her guilt,

I think she said all that’s so she could say later “I told Jeffrey that” so when they set him up she would be able to say she gave him that idea or she drove him to it and knew her family would be blamed.
