Also Eurovision has been broadcasted in Australia for about 30 years due to the large European expat community there and many more having european heritage. So it doesn't matter if Australia ia not in Europe. If they ever do win, the competition will be held in Europe...like Germany or England.

Well if it helps, the song is about her personal struggle with depression. Zero Gravity represents the state where she is no longer held back by her own depression and can fly freely (hence the perfomance). I think that's beautiful honestly. I wasn't a big fan of the song either until I actually found out what it's about.
