The Sessions with Adam Penning - The Summer Hunt

- Adam Penning and HOOKD debuted their first (video-on-demand) angling film, The Summer Hunt, during some of the hottest days of the Summer in 2019. As a treat for Christmas 2020, and after the nightmare year that everyone has had, we're uploading this to CZcams for everyone to watch, for free.
Filmed at the stunning Fryerning Fisheries in Essex, the conditions at the time were a perfect storm for Penners to get straight in and down to one of his most favoured styles of fishing; floater fishing for carp off the top.
Over the course of 3 days, Penners takes a deep dive into every aspect of his approach to floater fishing, as well as catching margin carp off the deck with The Washing Line Trick. Watercraft, baiting strategy, tackle and rigs are all covered (plug free), with a seven carp haul, culminating in the capture of "The Brute" during the very last seconds of the session.
Our next film "The Swamp" is due out in February.

Thanks School of Jones - this is why we usually charge the cost of a mag for these films, as there's zero product plugging.
Think these films will help me in bye fishing as the lake i go to is a hard water as the fish very skits and not easy bit ive been able to find whers they like to hold up alot of the time. The lake you fish at the start is the same shape but smaller and really weedy. Would be great to see how you woud fish this lake but it in scottland a bit far out of your way,a few 25 plus my biggest is 15lb. Amazing video mate, felt gutted when the big lad came off.
The lost "biggun" was probably a fool hooked fish. Seen it a million times and does happen very often when floater fishing in my experience. The swirls, clouds of mud and hook pull would be explained by that...

I fish a lake in Kent. It's a club water, but maybe of interest to you, as its very deep, silty, and around the forty acre mark, with a scattering of features amongst all the deep water and silt. Let me know if this would be something you'd entertain. There's some good fish in it. But it's not an easy venue by any means. Michael.

Lovely lakes just a shame about the owner being nuts !! I was on valley lake i loved it over there i went and told charlie i found a dead fish next thing chris comes up to me and tells me to leave i was just about to start a weeks session.im not the only one i know that much !!!
