Hello, I had a bad experience with nealsgadgets. After ordering a Convoy S21E with SST 40 + battery, they sent me an S21E with 519a, without battery!
I explained that it was not the model I wanted and that the battery was missing. We had to threaten them to get an answer! They reimbursed the missing battery and promised to send me a smooth reflector like the modele SST40.
15 days later, I still don't have the smooth reflector and nealsgadget doesn't answer my questions.
I would like to point out that on the packaging of the lamp it was clearly written SST40. No apology for the error and no offer of exchange. This is the last time I buy from them.
I quit drinking and became a flashaholic but man i miss working on a euphoric buzz while perched on a log in the wilderness, suddenly the flashlight becomes even cooler when in that mind state, very nostalgic but i let it go and am now just a flashaholic, i do drink kombucha i like synergy lol

Thanks for this review and thanks for all the work you put into these videos! 🙂 Do you know why the S21E has more throw compared to it's tailswitch sibling S21A (at turn on)? Does it have a different reflector? To me the beamshots of the S21E also look a bit brighter than the S21A. Is it just my eyesight or are there other factors? 🙂
How does this compare to the Thrunite TN12 pro in terms of spill and throw.
Got the 719A simple version 3000K. Really nice, but maybe 4000K next time :)

Is there any 12v vehicle light bars or fog lights that uses the sst40 or sft40 in it that you know of? I'd like to get these leds on my car for long open roads
I would of personally waited for the final release. This was a test sample, the new release has Anduril V2, but I do recall you enjoying V1 more.
Is there a source on Anduril 2 coming? Pretty sure this is it. I don't think the chip used can support Anduril 2. It would be great to see it though
@@toasty4000000 It's just what Simon told me. He said it was V2 that was used in the final batch.
Anduril 2 was a vanity exercise by Toykeeper and I had to fight very hard to stop Toykeeper from removing direct off from Turbo.
The simple UI is a total farce.

Hello. Can you help me? Please. When the flashlight is ON and I press two times for turbo. The flashlight goes off. But the button is still on, in his max brightness. How I can fix this issue?
From off, tap 7 times.
only anduril can have fix lighted switch? or the simple convoy ones able to sustain switch light too?

Hey Mr. Flashaholic thx for the review. @czcams.com/video/NGKLvmSZ6WA/video.html just hold the button after 7 presses and the UI cycles through all modes until you release the button. It is easier than repeating the 7 presses over and over.
it only max the temp at 39? nice. btw sir ive seen someone put a S21D tail cap with switch on S21E and it kinda seems working but kinda meh about it. do you think it can? if yes then this is my next purchase with a spare S21D tailcap switch.
I've got both still, I can try it later, if I forget to just remind me as I forget everything lately.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV i really like wurkkos and sofrin but some features are missing like tailcap switch which is mainly a convoy thing, and there is only a very few like the wurkkos TD04 and sofirn SP35. but no further modification on that brand unlike Convoy. if only they would sell aftermarket bling bling parts like convoy they would destroy the competition.
if its the basic convoy UI; yes, in case with anduril? only sofirn sc31T PRO use such coding (tailswitch on-off).

@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV Thank you, sorry I didn't see the whole video, you compared them😅 You make flashlight reviews quite fun! Do you think it's better to buy the version without Anduril? I don't really understand flashlights too much but on the graph I see the Anduril version going down to just 170 lumens in no time while the simple one stays on 750. If I want to use it for cycling 750 lumens should do the job but 170 lumens would be too little.
Would I solve the stepping down in Anduril by changing the step down temperature and would I not risk damaging the flashlight by heat?
Very glad to see convoy finally offering andruil. Will be keen to see andruil 2 on some lights. In the meantime I'll need to get them reflashed.
I think this is a whole new driver isn't it? Is reflashing 12 mode lights an option?

No SR-32 yet? 😁 I've had mine for 2 days now, and yeah, so far it's incredible! Hopefully no burned out LEDs in the future.
I have one. It's brighter than MS18 but not close to 120000. LED's all fine so far. The throw however is measuring beyond spec at turn on.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV are you measuring the range at 20m? I couldn't test mine since LEDs burned, but will do when the new unit shows up.

Damn it this is all soooo complicated just canceled the astrolux order as I think the uk would do my head in watching your vid again I just want to walk the dogs I’m not a nuclear physicist man. What in earth is audril what are all these options when I click the links . Oh well ordered two of these 6500 sst40 something or other. The simple version.
I hope Simon can offer Anduril in the other E-switch models. I have an S21E with an XHP50.3 high CRI (also in blue), the beam is a little tight compared to XHP50.2 (or a Pioneman K21X with an XHP70.3 in the same body).
This is the worst flashlight i ever had! The instruction at 4:38 is wrong! If you tap 4 times the flaslight is "off" and it can be only be revived by a "factory reset".The "blinky mode" is a nonsense mode of 3 times/5 times short flash - which means in morse code s zero, but not "sos". In addition the button light is always "on", which consumes energy of course.
I just received two of these in the mail today, but in the sft40 flavor, one in orange and one in blue. I'm hoping if I gift them I can get that person into the anduril scene of enthusiast grade lights.
