Seeing how far RC cars have come over the decades is simply amazing to me. I’ve lived a over a half century here and back in the day the RC cars never went this fast. It’s so cool to see them run now days👍🙂
Great video. I live in the mountains ans you'd think that would be awesome for RC but it's not. I'd rather be in the desert. Thats looks like ait of fun. Wide open, fast and I love watching the tires kick up all that sand.

Looks like so much fun! When I run my Slash 4x4 in the snow I use 4 paddle tires. What a roost & traction! I can run it in 6" of fresh fluffy snow no problem. Snow & sand so much fun, but the clean up afterwards? Worth every hour of it. Looks so serene there, imagine if just on the other side of the Dunes is a million person city hustlin' & bustlin'. lolol
@@Sackmatters Nice! The snow is so much fun & the clean up isn’t too bad if you get on it right away. I’ll have my compressor ready to blow everything off as soon as I’m done. I’ll use that electrostatic spray on the motor & electronics areas, not sure if it helps, but it hasn’t hurt it. Then I’ll give everything a light spray of WD-40 & then I know it’s ok to sit for awhile if I don’t have the time to break it down to clean right then. I’m a lifelong skier & snowmobiler, so I too love the snow.
I haven't seen much of team losi cars much anymore. When I was into them they were basically the best, but then again this was so long ago I had an rc-10, with a 7 cell hump pack and a twelve turn, can't remember the manufacturer, motor, considered outlaw as anything under a 15 turn was. Burnt clutches left and right, broke dog bones, linkage, name it. It was an expensive hobby for a twelve yo, lol
after 15years I decided that id come back and so glad I did. The tech is insane, the speeds and power is just nutty💪. Been bashing so very hard on a couple short course trucks. The Little Losi baja Rey is so incredibly tough after just a couple ups. My other is the wicked Arrma Mojave, best RC I have ever owned🏆. That is why I bought 3of them😁
Definitely a cool buggy! Last year I learned how to build FPV drones, so that's what I've been into. I keep seeing these cars, and I'd like to build one. Very cool content!
That is very awesome that you learn how to build drones I also build drones as well I build more than racing style as PV drones because why not if you know how I might as well the nice thing about doing your own drone is you can have whatever you want in it they got as big as you want put whatever GPS system you want completely up to you quarter of the price of a store-bought drone and flies better than most store-bought drones except for of course DJI but doing it yourself you can build a lot better quality drone for a quarter of the price
I also started out building RC airplane as well you should look in the flight test they build RC airplanes out of the foam board you buy at Dollar general and then they have power packs and stuff and you fold the phone according to what the video says and the plans and it makes decent size actually really decent size beautiful airplanes and a nice thing as you can learn how to fly airplanes without the expensive crashing Big balsa planes that cost a thousand plus dollars right
@@youknoweverything7643 I'm actually familiar with Flite Test! I've watched a lot of their content. Joshua Bardwell on CZcams taught me everything I know. I just soaked it all right up. The DJI Drones are probably your best bet for camera drones today. I don't think they're necessarily better than anything I can build. They're just two different use cases. A DJI Drone will take better quality pictures and video than anything I could build myself. However, I can build and fly a drone faster than anything DJI sells. It's just a matter of preference. I don't really have as much interest in taking pictures or video as much as I'm interested in flying. The DJI drones really kind of fly themselves, so they can maintain stability. You just tell it where to go. The drone I build will fall to the ground if you let go of the control sticks. Building is definitely where it's at, and I would recommend it to anyone. Don't let it overwhelm you, everyone is capable. Just take it one step at a time.
Awesome video bro 🔥 I love Losi. Definitely one of my all time favorite RCs. I raced Losi for about 4yrs on short course off road tracks and I ran dirt oval for 1 season in 2003 and won the points championship. I came in first place 10 out of 11 races and the only reason I lost that race is because my dumb arse picked up the wrong battery that was only about 75% charged so on the last 4-5 laps I started lossing power and got passed on the last 2 laps. I still finished 3rd. hehe. Man I miss racing so bad. 😂 Love watching these cool RCs racing up a sand dune. That's so sick. 🔥👍✌️
@@surfside75 Getting started was a bit expensive but after I bought everything I needed it wasn't that bad. Bashing cost a lot more because you're constantly upgrading and breaking things. I raced the same truck for almost 4yrs. Far as I remember I only broke 2 A arms. I mostly raced in a limited class where everybody ran the same gear ratio 21 turn stock motors and 6cell batteries. That makes it very competitive. It mostly comes down to driving and setting your truck up. It brings the cost down also. I would change my motor and tires every 2 - 3 races. 2 tires costed $20 and the motors costed about $20. so it cost about $40 every 2 - 3 races. That's not bad at all. Between batteries charger truck electronics and tools I had about $1500 in my racing set up. Keep in mind this was 20yr ago so I'm sure it would cost a bit more now. I broke my back several years ago so I just can't afford to get back into it. I lost a lot of my RC collection in a fire and the rest was stollen. I had about 20 RCs between trucks dragsters oval track pan cars planes and boats. I had a TMAX back in 99 with a Peco 21 size nitro motor 2 speed trans. That thing was a beast at that time. I bashed the crap out of it for a couple months. That got very expensive real fast lol so it basically got turned into a shelf queen. Some low life broke into my storage building and stole it and several other RCs. 😡🤬 I f*cking hate a thief with a passion. You ever thought about racing??? ✌️

Going to get renters insurance soon. You had a great run there in RC racing. With yr explanation I understand RC racing a lot better. Thanks. Sorry to hear about yr back injury. I guess I very lucky, fell 40ft while standing in a metal basket man lift. Smashed my face against the control panel, my body broke almost all the aluminum welds on the basket while breaking 4 bones. 7 yrs later and I'm about 85% back. Staring at my GT mountain bikes haunt because I have as of yet been able to ride them the way I want to. I do prey you will be able to at least get back into a position that you will enjoy an RC car again. I was out of RC for 15 yrs. The RC tech and aftermarket support from the likes of M2C, VITAVON, Scortched, CRCU, Basherqueen, HR, GPM, Integy etc not to mention the insane speeds now. Its all just amazing to me! You also helped me understand (although I was probably just hiding from the fact) -my tendencies to full on send my trucks through whatever I want, shallow creeks, 10ft jumps, drop off cliffs, full speed over rough terrain, rocks, smashing into trees😱 etc.. this is exactly why my costs are so high. My wallet is hurting😁

I landed on asphalt with absolutely nothing to break my fall or cushion it. Asphalt doesn't give a bit let me tell ya 😂 Yeah getting things stollen that ya worked your arse off for isn't a very good feeling. 😡🤬 I'm going to try my best to scrape up enough to get a basher - racing RC by summer time. I live in NC by the way. I really have my eye on the Talion. It's a bit expensive but it's a pretty awesome RC from all the videos I've watched on it. I may have to settle for the smaller Typhon. lol They are both pretty dang cool. Have you ever owned or driven either of these ??? Do you have any cheaper suggestions for a similar RC ??? I want something I can bash and race if I want. Truggy or Buggy doesn't much matter to me. lol ✌️

I wonder when the auto industry will make large scale models of these types of cars because I would love to drive something like this around instead of a remote small scale model. Come on Tesla get with it and produce some big toys for us adults to play with.

I run my 1/8th scale cars and my granite with sand paddles all the way around in the snow. Considering 6 months of the year are snow I take advantage.

We use sealed tppower motors not vented and we add the black silicone like the head cover gasket to the wires output on the motor
