    Got my RZR stuck in some nasty, deep mud on last ride. Opened the freespool, wrapped the cable/tree saver around nearest tree and pull right out of the mud. Very happy with the performance!

      +Ron B Thanks for the feedback. I'm a big fan of CZcams for the instructional side and when I couldn't find a video walking through the winch install, I decided to make one. Sorry it was a bit long to watch but there are a lot of steps to take and when you make it up as you go, well you sort of end up with a lot of footage. Good luck with your install and let us know how it goes!

    You can check with MotoAlliance. I know they have a special mounting plate for the 900 - very different than then 1K.

    I've had a super winch terra 45 for almost 2 years it's been perfect but the cable warn out and it bent the tubes that connects each side of the winch so instead of just getting a new cable probably just gonna get a new one maybe this or a Kfi winch or maybe the same one I already have

    Save your fingers and time, get a Dremel with a side cutting bit! It makes cutting plastic LIKE BUTTER!

      TJ Shine good idea! However I sold that rzr in December and bought a turbo s. The turbo s dashboard has 6 knockouts - all you have to do is pop the plastic insert out and you have a clean switch receptacle. Easy!

    Just got a Vipermax 4000 for my 2015 Ranger 570 FS, hoping to install sometime after holidays, nice video, it will save me a lot of head scratching and swearing, tks again!

      +jriz65 Congrats on both purchases. Having a winch is not the same as having a buddy there to help but I wouldn't want to trail ride without one. You never know when you'll be pulling yourself out, some other rider or even moving fallen logs off the trail ahead of you. Good luck with the install!

    Great video and you do some nice work. Thanks... Hooking up my viper 5000 to a 2015 S 900 tomorrow. Probably gonna save me a lot of time on figuring things out.

      Thanks MrPittsburghJ. This is my third Viper Winch; first was on a Grizzly 700 quad, the next on a 2012 RZR 800 and finally this one on my 1000.

    How long did this take you to install it

    • @buxka2
      @buxka2  Před 8 lety

      I'd say 8-10 hours - maybe a little more. I did it over two days on the weekend. I was in no hurry. Seems every job I do on the RZR seems straightforward at first but then little things always creep up. I wasn't expecting to have to do the cable swap, and then I had to change the terminal ends to fit the battery and so on.
