This bike was an absolute dream to see in person, I loved every second of it, if I had to guess price on this bike i would estimate around 14,000-15,000. but man was everything top notch

Yea this is an enthusiast build. The frame is nice but enve is expensive also the wheels are expensive for what they offer. I could build a tarmac expert with some lightweight wheels and ultegra and it would be half the price

I run those Veloflex on my bike and I was really surprised at just how grippy they are. They look like they should be super slick but, so far, they've really been treating me well.

@@justDave3453 Honestly, I hadn't either. Been Running Vittoria for the longest time. Recently switched to a tubeless setup and my bike shop didn't have my regular Corsa G2 in a 28. Suggested these as an alternative. I was skeptical but, as I said, so far I've been really impressed.

I remember saying on this channel a few weeks ago that I got a carbon handlebar from aliexpress. I wanted to offer an update.
Update: it’s been great. I’ve done a number of rides as well as daily commuting around campus. Took a while to get the right torque on the bolts since I don’t have a torque wrench. I had it slightly too loose and the bar would drop down after a while. I will say that I’m a lightweight rider at 140lbs and so there isn’t really much stress going into the bars.

Shimano pedals? No. Time or Look will always have my loyalty for pedals, road or off road. Second, if you like the Specialized Power, you should try the Bontrager RSL saddle. It feels amazing.

Find this a weird one: it isnt 'really' light and it isnt aero.. feel like you can get the Factor Ostro (for example) to be lighter and more aero. It's certainly different, and the more the merrier, but I wonder why anyone would buy this bike

they are stupid light and people seem to love them, very grippy and have a nice feel on the road, but they are a tire that is performance base and more likly to get a flat

Why is SPD SL taboo?
This man out here catfishing with that bike. Who in the world is riding a 5 spoke wheel with a hard carbon saddle to reduce weight, one bottle cage and no computer mount. After a long and hard ride you know he is dehydrated and his ass is tore up for sure. You get this same bike in a size 56 and we are looking a 19 lbs. bike.
lmao 6 spoke wheel, and i know tons of people who ride those raw carbon saddles, the roads are smooth over here
Lovely bike but I'm not sold on the wheels the look isnt right for myself, id like a deeper rim too. I think they may grow on me over time, only time wil tell.

It depends, you never know how many riders out there like SRAM and Time. Personally, I saw none so far.

The wheelset comes in at 1450g according to the manufacturer which imho is not particularly special or light. Many mass produced wheelsets of this rim depth hit this kind of weight.
This is true, I also thought it would be much lighter given the look. But I think the roval alpinist clx wheels are lighter then this. They are like 1250 grams
1450 are for the aero wheels for the biturbo model they are 1250 grams

I don't mind the weight too much but, for size 52, and the amount of carbon that it has, is a litlle bit heavy.

Kmc does state that the chain is compatible, but i wouldn't say it's the best fit. It works but a bit noisier. I will actually be changing Tina SRAM eagle chain soon.
yea on the box it says it is compatible with sram, it is nosier for sure but i have not had the time to make it final adjustments but you can run a 12 speed eagle gold chain on there and it will work ok

What are cables?
cables are what the brake hoses are referenced by, they are ran through the fram internally and what connect the shifter to the caliper

The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.

Weight is not that big a deal. Don't by a bike by how much it weighs . A person weighs between 70 and 80 kilos. This bike weighs 7 kg. So it's effect on performance is marginal. Even if it weighed 1 kg it only makes a few percent difference . My advice is get a way cheaper bike that weighs 10kg and then eat less to lose 3 kg. Exact same outcome except you save a lot of money and get healthier. If you really want to be fit and strong then ride a bike that's really heavy , say 15kg. Then you will have to lose a lot more and become stronger to ride it. That's how we did it years ago. Ride a heavy winter training bike and then ride a lighter bike in the race, but never train on your race bike.

lmao, yea the design is very basic, I mean it would have been great if it came out 4 years ago, but it looks copy and paste to everything else, not saying thats a problem because I like the look of the sl7 so I like the look of this bike, but I wish they would have came out with something that represents envebike brand style. also the bike rides amazing the feel quality is nice and stiff

We know that not the case though, for example we know they could omit the seatstays given modern carbon capability.
After riding those exact wheels last weekend I can truthfully say... dont buy them. They're awful. Buy some Enve's instead and save yourself 2k.
What in particular didn't you like about them?
@@speedpower2740 They "buffet" in the wind, you can actually feel and hear it happening. I'm not certain regarding the "actual" speed difference, but the feel and noise was not good at all. They can also be very difficult to put tires on - and I would not count on being able to change a tire road side after a puncture. It was super difficult, even in the workshop. I have ridden many many different wheels, including Enve, Roval, LightWeights, Campagnolo Bora's, Shimano Dura Ace etc etc, and would not choose the BA's above any of them. My go to wheel for climbing days are LightWeights, and for all round / crit days I go Enve's...

@@GCPerformance18 Maybe ask if you can give them a try. Interestingly they’ve now brought out an “aero” version of these wheels, so maybe they’ve done some further testing and streamlined them.
