I remember getting my braces off and feeling like my teeth dissolved because it felt so weird!! Please always wear your retainers!! I’ve had my braces off for like 10 years at this point and I STILL wear my retainers every night and my teeth have never moved. I even lost my retainer and immediately went in to get another mold so they didn’t shift. I went through too much pain and hardship to have my teeth not straight for life! Lol my brother stopped wearing his retainer and his teeth have moved quite a bit.
(Your Ortho might be different, but my retainers were meant to be worn at night indefinitely)
Point of the story: listen to there recommendations. It’s worth it ❤️

@@AnaXoxo22 should I get the wire retainer or the Invisalign. I just don’t want ny teeth to shift back. My top teeth were really bad
@@ThehollyJesus041 they both have their advantages. I like my clear Invisalign ones because I also have a clenching and grinding problem which the Invisalign ones help with and prevent my teeth from wearing down.

I got my braces on April 5th, 2019 and it’s gonna be almost 2 years in 2021 😭 I got them on with an estimate of 1.5 years max and here I am hitting a 2 with no foreseeable date for getting them off 😭😭😭 This is beautiful!! I can not wait 😭❤️

@@lilli4864 yesss just got them off yesterday, it went really smooth it kinda hurt a little bit when the ortho was taking the brackets off it felt like my teeth were going to fall out but nothing unbearable then he cleaned, filed and polished my teeth. my gums are still swollen but he said it was normal. I need to get my teeth whitened because they look a bit yellow but my ortho told me to wait a few months. I got a top & bottom permanent retainer and a clear retainer for my top teeth (have to wear it full time for 6 months then only at night the other 6 months) I have another appointment in 4 months to make sure that everything is going well. Good luck

You're already pretty and your teeth look amazing! How was it getting the bite stoppers off (the blue stuff on your teeth)? Also, how long did you have them? I have them now and I hate them. Chewing is so awkward ugh 😩
I had those too. They were pink tho and they were annoying!!
Thank you so much! I had them on for 2 weeks I believe. Eventually they’ll ware down a little. Constant chewing will help that. I don’t miss those things at all. And it was okay they just used their drill to smooth away and polish. Good luck!

Different ortho’s give different retainers all I know there is a bonded retainer and a normal retainer

I just got mine put on last Saturday. They state only 18 months with them on. Hopefully it goes by quick..
I recommend you to forget you have braces , time will pass by quickly , i had braces for 2 years , it feels like one year it really did pass by so quick and im getting them off in three/four months
honestly once you have them for like a month you forget you have them
oh trust me it goes by so so fastlike im getting mine off on the 15th and ive haad mine for i little less than 2 years and it feels like ive only had them for like a year or less

Hey! I'm 12 years old. I'm getting braces this year if I can guess. I need to move my teeth, straight them and since my mouth is small I have to put it down where all my tooth belongs to. Should I be scared?

I got braces at 15-16. Left home. I don't have insurance and have had no maintenance since 18... I'm 23 and can't get them off. I don't know what to do... I have had severe depression for years to the point I gave up on taking care of myself, including orally and I know now that some of my teeth are hollow or have little craters. I'm afraid by the time,if ever I'm able to get them removed, my teeth will come out with them. I don't know.

I’m excited for my next ortho appointment on the 8th because I think I’ll get my elastics and I’m so happy because it means I’m ready for this next stage and they’ll help move my teeth faster and it means things are progressing:) I was actually meant to get them last month but we had a complication with my bottom brace wire not coming off a bracket so they’ll replace my bottom wire and then hopefully I’ll get my elastics😍😂
