It's very Russian. My partner's a bit of a military history buff - he's told me that when the Russians made an infantry charge, only every other soldier had a rifle. They expected that a lot of them would be instantly massacred, so the unarmed ones were supposed to pick up the rifles from their dead or injured fellow soldiers. Any who turned back would be immediately shot.

They also chose to fly without parachutes in favor of carrying more payload, stripped their planes to the bare minimum to make them as light as possible, had no defensives other than a handgun and most of the times the pilots and crew suffered from frost burns during their missions.

If you do a double reaction, do the cover by Readio Tapok. Before the album came out, Sabaton went to him and had him cover the song and released it FIRST, before the original song got released.

Lyrics about: The antagonists meet on 7 September 1631 on the open field near the village of Breitenfeld, outside Leipzig. The battle becomes the biggest of the Thirty Years' War. Gustavus Adolphus and the Swedish army, with Saxon reinforcements, face the Imperial army, which is accustomed to victory, under the command of General Tilly.
The Swedes go into battle under the war cry Gott Mit Uns - "God With Us". (This motto will later be handed down: first to the Prussian army, and later to the German army during World War I and finally to the Wehrmacht in World War II, when the motto is embossed on the soldiers' belt buckles. And If you want to check out an awsome cover of this song, Feuerschwanz has a killer cover. (since you love easy pronounced names) 😂😂

I remember someone pointing out that their most devastating and successful weapon wasn't even the bombs they carried. At only 50kg each they didn't actually do that much damage (at least, not devastating damage to the entire camp compared to what a "modern" bomber could do at that time). No, their weapon was far more terrifying than that - psychological warfare. Imagine you're a German, you're already completely exhausted from a day or more of marching and hard fighting. You're miserable, tired out of your mind, everything keeps freezing - like the water in your canteen - and it's a struggle to stay warm. And then you can't even settle down for a decent night of undisturbed sleep because you never know if you're next in the Night Witches crosshairs - even if you're not it's not exactly easy to sleep soundly with that axe hanging over your head. And if you ARE their target, well since they performed multiple sorties often on the same encampment in a row in a single night you basically got NO peace or sleep the rest of that night, if you were lucky enough to even survive (because sure, the bombs were small compared to what the bigger bombers were dropping, but they'd still easily take YOU out trying to run for cover). Then add to that a new day of hard labour, marching and exhaustive fighting both enemy and terrain .... only to have to repeat the entire process again the following night.
It must have been absolute torture on a scale I can't even imagine - and I don't think I even want to try!

Here is a little tip, talking about threats only gets you more of them. This is well known among social media people. So please stop mentioning that. For the sake of the family.
    Also, I love you!

This is top tier irony, that one of the most terrifying things, a german soldier could encounter at the eastern front, were the "least skillfull" womens in WW1 bi plane trainers, not fighters, not bombers, just trainers with some boms strapped to them.
Everyone should stand up and pay some respect, they deserve that.

Contact them and make the suggestion. They're always looking for new subjects to make songs on. Many of their songs are picked from fan suggestions telling them about stories they didn't know about previously

Oh btw Hero of the Soviet Union is equal to Medal of Honor.
12777 Heroes of the soviet union. 90 women. 2 of tank regiments (Commander and Driver from two separated regiments), 35 Airforce members (23 from Night witcher regiments + 5 dive bomber regiment members on Petljakov Pe-2 under the same command, 7 others), rest of them from Rifle and Guard regiments, mostly medical personal, snipers. 3 of them were Navy medics.
3507 Medals of Honor. One woman during Civil war.
I Know that Russian numbers are 4 times higher but remember... They turned 40 milion+ people into active military service just during WWII, most of them saw any combat at least once.

I have heard it told that for the Germans, any soldier - no matter their station - where to receive an Iron Cross medal if they were able to take down a Night Witch bomber, one medal for each takedown xD Just goes to show the effect the 588th Night Bombers and their pilots had on the German offensive into Russia, and how much the German command wanted to motivate the soldiers to remove these persistent defenders xD A valuable lesson that gender has little to do with the ability to terrify and/or piss off an enemy - huge respect to those who served and sacrificed!

I knew about female soviet snipers, but I never knew about the female soviet airmen. Sabaton has awaken me to so many stories not known, sometimes pushed aside other times plain forgotten. With the old USSR, likely both at the general time.
