It was the last song on one of the greatest albums ever made.. The Marshall Mathers LP. That whole album is amazing, and Criminal was a fitting finale.
Exactly, and necause they are listening to the words, they don't realize how precise he was with internal rhythm scemes & his ability to manipulate a word, moreso a single syllable. That's what makes the schemes, content & his storytelling ability to come through so clearly. He uses his word play as a music instrument.

I remember when this album dropped. I was in high school, and every year it seemed like parents, teachers, and politicians were trying to water down or remove all the things we liked. Especially music and video games. So while all these people were up in arms over this album, we just laughed it off. If he knew it or not, Em spoke for a lot of us.
