I wanted to just thank you Bino. I haven't commented much ireally like the detail of your videos and how to get out of a bind with normal stuff you would have on hand. Multi purpose and minimal equipment to get by in a pinch.
Thanks again Bino/Noah/etc. I’ve seen a few videos showcasing the soft 8 canopy tie, and I’m curious to know if there is any preferred scenario like branch size, re-directs, etc. when a climber may prefer to use a soft 8 compared to a quickie shackle & butterfly?
The soft 8 will help if you do multiple redirects. A Butteryfly and a Quickie won't come down as east when you retrieve your line. Soft 8 helps just like a Texas Tug and a floating canopy anchor would.
l don’t know anyone that would climb with that long, bulky thing hanging from their saddle just to climb to the top to set it. it’s only good for a basal tie, and even that looked janky.

That's a handy Super Saver but Bino, I'm really digging the tether and rope wrench system. Who did you get that from?
The tether is a rock climbing quick drawl and I made the attachment clip.
I like my ring and ring adj friction saver
Could this be used as a false crotch, and hang a pulley off of it for lowering? Thank you Bino.
No it's not rated for rigging.
Thank you for the reply and continued contribution to the climbing world.
last time i saw hardware like this we were whale hunting! great vidéo !
