- KoOlina is known for the Four Seasons Hotel, Disney Aulani Hotel and the Marriott Vacation Club, but hidden in the middle of these world class hotels is the Beach Villas at KoOlina. Truly a "hidden gem"! This is unique, offering luxury condominium suites which are privately owned vacation rental accommodations! It offers full kitchens, in suite washer/dryers, deep soaking tubs, stylish island hardwood furnishings, truly a comfortable but executive living stay.
The amenities are first class architecture design featuring a tropical gardens oasis poolside. A meditative Koi pond is hypnotic, relaxing you at a Zen state of mind.

As one of the approved Real Estate Agents here at the Beach Villas I wanted to capture the fun experience in a casual BBQ cookout with my partner/Agent Hiromi. We had fun even shopping at nearby Foodland Farms at Kapolei's Ka Makana Alii. It's only a 10-15 minutes drive from KoOlina. Where Costco can be a go to shopping place for all things, but it is as you know purchase by bulk. If you are selective and want variety and just enough for a special BBQ cookout day, you should consider Foodland.
Poke (raw fish concoction) is rated one of the best places to go. Quite a variety to choose from. Did you see where I purchased "Poi"....it was a small shot glass portion that I wanted to show you in this video. Important to know because this is truly grass roots Hawaiian survival food. Made from the Taro plant (bulb) that is pounded (Poi means to pound) to a creamy paste. This was the staple. And with using salt as a preservative for fish or meat in old Hawaii (not having refrigeration) the poi was the starch to compliment the salty protein. It is popular to the local Hawaiian community even today. With the difficulty in raising and processing this food it is a dish to really appreciate. A must try with the poke. Popular phrase "Fish and Poi!"
Fresh organic fruits and veggies and also was very impressed with the Salad bar area where they have an enormous selection for toppings, etc.
Did you see the dessert section? On vacation...calories do not count!
The BBQ area closest to the KoOlina beach lagoon (Honu Lagoon) with the adjacent Makai Hale Beach Bar and picnic tables makes this a wonderful setting and experience. The hot tub was my favorite! Therapeutic massage relaxing and healing...
