- We recently spent 8 nights at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort on Oahu. Here are 5 things you need to know before you go, from the perspective of two young(ish) adults traveling without kids. (We traveled to Hawaii for Tre's soccer tournament, but he was with his team most of the time and we barely saw him!).
If you have any specific questions about the resort, feel free to ask them in the comments below and we will answer if we can!

FYI there actually is an adults only pool. Its on the 4th floor of the Kalia Tower- same floor as the Spa. Kalia is a timeshare tower but all adult Hilton guests can use the pool
Hawaii is a state. You don't go back to the "states," you return to the mainland.
Lol first timers
I appreciate the info about point #1, which is the most important thing for us, we are pass our 50's and the last thing we want is a place surrender by children everywhere
Congratulations on your son’s win! Hope he does well in the Nationals! Great tips and thanks for posting!
I've stayed here a few times for work and really enjoyed the resort. The beach is fantastic.
Thanks for the review. You both seem like genuinely good people, and a fun time!
I watched up to the point where you said "a lot of kids" and that earned my 'like'! Thanks!!
We are going next week and really appreciate your tips.
just watched your video. Thanks for sharing; I learned a lot. Headed there with family in three weeks
I’ll be there in 28 days. I got the premier ocean view
Awesome, thanks for sharing!
Loved the Friday fireworks. The best spot was by the hot tub.
I'm glad you had a nice time!
We stayed in the 2 bedroom penthouse suite. It was ….well SUITE. Check it our
Thank you so much for this video. We’re coming in July for our wedding anniversary and was considering this hotel but we wanted a romantic stay. Glad the #1 warned us about all the children lol
Waikiki was once a playground for Hawaiian royalty.
@3:00 "back in the states". ....saying this in Hawaii is offensive. Hawaii is a state.
Hi guys! Great video full of information. I am traveling with my wife to hhv next week (no kids). I have a couple of question:
1- I read somewhere that you should rent a car to go around town and the transfer from the airport will be very expensive? Would you say a car is needed?
2- what were the breakfast options like? Looking for recommendations for cheap food
Thanks!!
#1 is ridiculous... romantic getaways are what you make them, no matter where you go
Although, I agree, romantic getaways are what you make it. Using the word ridiculous, is ridiculous in and of itself.
There is an actual adults only pool in the Kalia tower. I swam there
On the Hilton Honors digital check-in, how and where do you pick up your room keys?
What! "back in the states"? Hawaii is a state dude. There is an adult pool, you wrong girl.
Really like the pocketed palm tree T-shirt, curious where you got it (3 years go) lol
I was at the diamond head tower since the 25th
Ko'olina is a great place for couple but they get also Aulani Disney for the kids. And in Aulani, they get adult pools and kid's pools as well.
If I'm going on holiday to Hawaii, last thing I want to do is go to a Disney resort, especially in Hawaii, if I want Disneyland I will either go on holiday to Florida walt Disney world or Disneyland in California,
Liam Daley true that. But Aulani is very different from any other Disney parks. But Koolina has other resorts too, like Marriott and Four Seasons.
Was the water cold? I went in March and it was freezing! Hope to hear back! Love from, Dallas, Texas!
I wonder how it compares to the Jersey shore?
Hilton Hawaiian village hotel is dated ,they definitely could update it , and as you mentioned it's to far from everything, I prefer staying at the mona surfrider hotel perfect location very upscale clean
I would agree that it could use a refresh! If we ever return to Honolulu, we'll be exploring other hotels, most definitely.
There is an adult only pool in the Kalia tower
We stayed at the tapa tower and it was great 👍 and for the food the little restaurants in the middle are better food if you ask me and cheaper . The lagoon was awful ! I don't know what was wrong but it smelled horrible and it left a greasy film on our skin .
We weren't a fan of the lagoon either and also noticed that it didn't seem to be the cleanest place to relax in the water... 😬
What do you think Hyatt Regency hotel?! I dont want have kid around me lol (i love kid but i need vacation)
Hyatt is excellent adult area, rum Fire 💯
Okay
are beach chaise/ umbrella included for guests?
No fees for everything
The restaurant Benihana permanently closed.... rip
Zac RBLX did it really? I was there one year ago exactly
Jack Chamberlain yeah I went this April and it was closed
Where was the puzzles at?
Back in the states , you are in the states , benhiyama
Well.. as for the food during pandemic, it would be better if Hilton allow delivery food by Ubereasts, Grubhub, etc
Is this hotel all inclusive?
no
Families and children are there more in the summer, Christmas and spring break. If you want to avoid all the families, plan accordingly.
can i taste that icecream???
There’s plenty of fun for couples without kids. Stay in the Ali’ I’ tower with your own pool and no kids.
This is where my girl and I stayed. Do they still have penguins? I tried to steal one and got busted
They do not anymore lol
🤣🤣🤣
Sorry you lost me at Benihana
Can't really understand, or hear what you are saying??
:)
Did you say that you went there for your kid? Yet you think this is full of kids? Hum???? Got your self confused if you are on a romantic trip or going to support your kid?
Hoa Hua Hi friend, thanks for watching! Our son is 16 years old and competing at Nationals. At that age and level, they’re not really allowed to spend time with us or stay with us. We only saw him at his games and on his day off, otherwise he was with his team staying at the host hotel and always busy at practices, meetings & team bonding events! He was tied up, so we spent the rest of the time on our own vacation. We love kids, but because we were alone 90% of the time as a couple we would have preferred a more quiet atmosphere. Cheers!
Get a slice of eggplant.
S Gabe, Adrian is troubling the at the
can you be any more beautiful?
Hawaii is a "state"... 🤣🤣🤣
This video might just be the whitest thing I've ever seen. This is it. This is the zenith of my white experiences.
Well...we are white 😁
Have to disagree, ‘Duke’s’ is terrible. Greasy!
I'm sorry you had a bad experience, Jocelyn! We really enjoyed both meals we had there.
OMG I stop watching when she said the Benihana.😒
There is 1 only adult only pool. The Kalia pool
