- I’ll never shy away from the chance to try out a new boat! Maelstrom products have kindly provided me with an Aquamarina 350 to put through its paces and with a brief gap in the weather I was straight out on my local grounds.
Fishing inshore can be tough this time of year and to add to the challenge a single box of soft plastics was what I put my faith in. Keeping the rod and line light allows small lures to be fished directly giving maximum sport from the reef residents. The nature of this SIB is keeping with this approach with its ease of set up and ability to move into the skinniest of waters.
The sea conditions on this day were a good test for the relatively small tubes and flat hull yet with two up it performed well.
I look forward to putting more hours into this boat on the water.

Hello from NZ, great to see how you guys do it. I am new to SIB fishing.
Been watching your videos recently, great content. I from east coast Ireland so similar fish and weather you have. After watching a few, I decided to go buy a sib and I got the aquamarina Catamaran 3.35 with a 2018 yamaha 6hp. I have been worried about the handling of such a flat hull and quality wise for only €500 on sale. This video has been bit of relief as I have never gone out on a sib.
great vid once again, good to see a smaller sib in action.
Great video Oban...thankyou
Awesome. Well done. Great boat, great fish, great video. 👍🐟🐟
Great Video as always
Grait video, as always, nice to see you back missed your videos
Another banger from the man man can’t wait for more content keep the video going mate ❤
Top man. Great video 👍🎣
Awesome video as always looks like you both had a good days fishing and the sib looks good. Looking forward to seeing your next adventure
Great video Oban thank you. And amazing how much access you can get on the water with only a 6hp outboard.
Another great video. I am really interested to see what set up you have on that boat as i am just working to get my own set up for my first outing so any advice would be really helpful.
Quality video........
Well done Oban on a great vid.
Whats next please.
Brilliant video mate.
One question is that looe in the background?
Excellent video as always! Quick question, any ventilation issues given cat type and higher transom? Craft is on my radar for sea fishing solo or two up.
Yael enjoy watching your video he wants to get the fish 😅
Great video, i have the Air Cat 335 and use a Tohatsu 9.8 hp out board. It absolutely rips and is super stable in the sea.
That sounds like a lot of fun
it is well worth a try!@@obanonthewater7796
Thank god. I bought the same boat but with 6hp Yamaha and yet to test it. Good to hear someone else using it, I have been worries I made a bad decision.
I own the 2.5 metre version fits in a small hatchback with engine brilliant boat
This one fits in the boot of my saloon which is impressive
I wish the bow was bigger as waves can crash over it too easily if trolling but if you can get the bow up then your sound.
Great stuff. Keeping it simple and fun. Were you just drifting all the time or did you drop anchor? Just curious as new to this last year or two. Cheers!
We spent the day drifting. I never fish with lures at anchor but that’s just the nature of the grounds I fish
Hi, Oban, Where is that you launched ?
Awes boat mate , great video 👍 do you mind me asking mate whats rough cost of that boat ? Cheers..
Check the link in the description, I believe they can be picked up sub £700
@@obanonthewater7796 cheers mate 👍
You can carry with the engine ?
I’ve not tried to, but the boat itself is reasonably easy to walk down a slipway over the shoulder
