Wow...to think i was toying with buying a ruddy kayak.? The SIB takes those rollers in their stride as seen here.I don't suppose they're immune to a freak swamping and by definition there cant be a drainage mechanism in place other than a stout bailer bucket...but l would rate my overall survival chances with a sib thsn a kayak.Really fancying a Rydal green number myself but this featured boat is a bobby dazzler for sure.
I’ve fished from a SIB comfortably in conditions I wouldn’t dream of taking a kayak in. Usually there is a one way drainage valve at the transom of a SIB so they are able to auto bail small volumes of water, not like a kayak that can be clear it’s decks almost instantly.
Another great video Oban, always love how informative you are. Recently bought my first boat and am new to all things sea fishing so the more info the better! Thanks 🎣 👍🏼
Great vid Oban, going to try those paddle tails soon. Might be an idea to land your Bass into the chilly bin or a rubble bucket, save the spines popping the deck / tubes..
My friend went out and bought a boat exactly like yours as you inspired him .. I’m from looe .. do you come from looe yourself ? Your videos are very interesting to watch don’t get bored and your very knowledgeable for a young man keep the videos going 👌
I love lure fishing , so much to think about , changing the lure to the situation, conditions etc . I'm enjoying your channel . On the subject of black minnow all I've ever caught on them is wrasse ?
Just found your channel no idea where your fish from but I like that you seem to put the bass back I do all mine to greater fish to end up on a plate in my book. Do you do any fly fishing Happy New Year
Nice informative video Oban, sometimes people don't realise how calm it can be in open water with some depth. Was the blue soft plastic a HTO artic eels?
Another useful video. Can you tell me what suit your wearing. I have a dry suit for the kayak but thinking of buying a flotation suit for the sib. Thanks.
How did the airdeck feel? I've seen someone else's video showing loads of flex in the floor as it was barely inflated. Does your airdeck feel pretty solid when inflated properly? I'm looking at the Hydrus v4 370. Thanks
@@obanonthewater7796 thanks Oban. I subsequently watched your set up video and see you walking around. The manufacturer actually reached out to the other YTer as he wasn't inflating the boat properly. Anyway, I went with a Excel Volante 360 in the end. Seemed like a higher quality product, especially with the transom and bonding of - supporting junior towables.
Really enjoyed this video i am getting into lure fishing this year and am learning a lot from your videos . Thanks for sharing.

Appreciate the next level on that tiny vessel bud… nice work ✌🏼🙌🏼👌🏻
i live and i’ve just bought a sib myself i’ll have to give a lure session a go
What a cracking day out Oban. Inspired me to get out this winter 👍
Another banger Oban, well done. Ya mad in that sort of weather, hats off to you, that's dedication. Hydrus performing very well.
Cheers Carlo a nice end to what has been a great year on the hydrus
Another awesome days fishing on the water 🎣🎥🔥 great work mate 👍🏻
Great Video Oban, love your conscious attitude towards these beautiful creatures
That was brilliant. Love your videos, keep up the great work 💪. Happy new year 🥳
Bro you should do a collab with OYZ for sure, they do great sib content.
Looked a bit lumpy but SIB handled it well. Nice fish as well.
Awesome. Happy New Year. 👍🐟👍🐟👍🐟
All the best for 2022....

Great video nice bass on them lures 🎣🌊😎👍🏻don't think my little 6hp yamaha outboard would push me though them waves lol 😆
Cheers Darrell, you'd be alright with the 6hp 😎
I think I need a SIB! Getting nothing shoreside there. I know it’s a bit cold but I’ve seen baitfish about so the food’s there still.
Wonderful video mate.
How big are these swells? Camera always flattens waves

Mate, why dry suit over wet suit?
NICE ONE.Do you ever spoon the river for flounder ?.
Nice informative video Oban, sometimes people don't realise how calm it can be in open water with some depth. Was the blue soft plastic a HTO artic eels?
The soft plastics used in this video are the Fiiish crazy paddle tail 150
@@obanonthewater7796 thank you Oban.
Have you ever tried treble hooks with barbs crushed down.
Great film again Oban. Have you used the crazy paddletail from the shore? if so any good?
Yes it's pretty much the only sp I use from the shore with great success in most conditions/venues
Thanks Oban
Another useful video. Can you tell me what suit your wearing. I have a dry suit for the kayak but thinking of buying a flotation suit for the sib. Thanks.
The suit is a Gul Vigo. Not a floatation suit but great for keeping sea spray and wind off

You should have no problem standing and even walking the length of the deck when inflated to correct pressure.

Just a quick question, what size jig head do you use for the crazy eel paddle tail ??
20g is my go to for most situations but the 10g & 30g are useful to have in the box.
@@obanonthewater7796 cheers mate, ille get some ordered up
