    Hello sir! I saw all of your LOTR LCG progression series, good to have you back!
    About WH40000 : can it be played solo? Thanks!

    • @TheHiveTyrant
      @TheHiveTyrant  Před 9 lety

      lecitadin69 Thanks, buddy! But alas, this game doesn't really lend itself to solo play - even just to practice. In my opinion, unless it was modified to the point where it probably no longer resembles the current, official structure of the game. I think there's just way too much "predict what the other player is going to do, and plan ahead to dash their plans," in this game for it to be any fun whatsoever, with just a single player. But, if you can find anyone to play with - online or otherwise - I can't recommend it enough!

    Mighty Mitch, any advise about when is the best time to play on OCG? just got my deck their.
    Have all expansions, but always playing with GF kinda got bored.
    Working in china, and.. have no idea when most of the players getting online.

    • @TheHiveTyrant
      @TheHiveTyrant  Před 8 lety +1

      +VenenderViper Unfortunately, I really have no idea - I rarely use it myself, so I have very little idea when people are online. I would just experiment and ask around - I know my friend Sam Mann usually plays at around 8PM or so in the PST time zone, and he usually finds matches... so perhaps sometime around then? Wish I could be more help, but good luck!

    Great channel, very useful. Thank you.
    One question: What happens if one warlord with no wounds receives one blow of 12 points of damage? Did he died?
    Greets from Spain.

    • @TheHiveTyrant
      @TheHiveTyrant  Před 9 lety +1

      Hachazos Mil Thank you very much for the compliment, and I'm glad you're enjoying the content so far!
      If a unit ever takes damage equal to, or greater, than its remaining Hit Points, it is immediately destroyed. If a Warlord is "Hale" when it takes, for example, 12 damage, it immediately becomes Bloodied. If it was already Bloodied, it is destroyed.
      Although 12 damage is much more HP than any Warlord has, since Warlords *could* use Shield Cards, it wouldn't be a bad idea to "guarantee" you can land a killing blow.
      I hope that helped! If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask, and thanks for watching! :D

    • @hachazosmil
      @hachazosmil Před 9 lety +1

      The Hive Tyrant Thank you for answer me so quickly :-)
      So if a no wounded warlord takes 12 damage it becomes Bloodied because has 6 hit points. Then I flip the card but there are the other 6 points of damage awaiting for me :-/. Supposing I don't have any Shield Cards to use, do my warlord suffers all of the 12 damage points (6 in each side) o the other 6 just get lost? Thank you again.

    • @TheHiveTyrant
      @TheHiveTyrant  Před 9 lety +1

      When a Warlord is flipped to its "Bloodied" side, damage does *not* carry over. A Bloodied warlord becomes exhausted, and immediately returns to its controller's HQ, and then next time you fight it, you have to deal it damage again. I hope that helped!

    Once a unit is in your HQ can you still use it? If so how?

    • @TheHiveTyrant
      @TheHiveTyrant  Před 9 lety

      TheRexxstar Once a unit is at your Headquarters, it still becomes ready during the Headquarters phase, just like a unit anywhere else on the battlefield. Once ready, depending on the unit, it might be able to use actions that require exhaustion, or it may have an ability that it can trigger at any time. Either way, when you commit your Warlord to a planet during the Command Phase, any units at your HQ at that time travel *with* your Warlord to that planet - although they arrive exhausted. If fighting takes place, though, they don't actually ready until the END of the first full round of combat, so they're not able to attack until *after* not only the Ranged Skirmish, but *also* the first full combat round. Then, they act normally, just like any other unit.

    • @TheRexxstar
      @TheRexxstar Před 9 lety

      The Hive Tyrant Ok Thanks! So the only way to get a unit from your HQ to a planet is to go where you commit your warlord? Got it! thanks for the help.

    • @TheHiveTyrant
      @TheHiveTyrant  Před 9 lety

      TheRexxstar Unless you play a card that allows you to freely move a unit or something, yes, sounds like you're correct. Because of that, it's possible that you can amass a *very* large army following your Warlord around, and since they arrive exhausted, it allows your opponent a chance to really punish you for "investing" so many units in the first few planets of the board (units at the first planet, by the end of the headquarters phase, will be "swept" into your HQ, with your Warlord). So, spread out! And glad I could be of assistance : )

    • @TheHiveTyrant
      @TheHiveTyrant  Před 9 lety +1

      TheRexxstar Oh - and seeing as how you want to be winning lots of command struggles anyways, spreading your units away from the first planet (unless you're expecting a big fight), is a pretty good basic strategy.

    • @TheRexxstar
      @TheRexxstar Před 9 lety

      The Hive Tyrant Also , do you have to pay the cost of the unit in the HQ again ?

    Where did you get your image pack?

    • @TheHiveTyrant
      @TheHiveTyrant  Před 9 lety

      ***** I believe that mine (i.e., the Core set image pack) came already installed with OCTGN - there's normally a 6 month waiting period between a retail release and an image pack being created, and I think at this point it'd been well over 6 months. I'd check the OCTGN application itself, to ensure that your Conquest is installed correctly and up to date? If you're looking to use cards that were released within 6 months, you have to upload the images yourself, which is only available to paid OCTGN subscribers. I hope that information helps!
