    Thanks for these videos. Im sorry to hear that youre not doing Conquest vids anymore but I understand. The new cards coming out from team Apoka are quite good and are keeping the game alive for me right now.

      You're quite welcome for all the Conquest coverage, which I was quite happy to provide! I'm pleased to hear that you're enjoying the Apoka cards - the amount of time, passion, and energy that that group is investing into keeping the game alive is astounding. While I don't have any explicit plans for future Conquest videos, I'll never say never - but we shall see. In any case, take care, and thanks for reaching out!

      Thank you for your kind and humbling words! Poor Conquest. What a tragedy, to have such a gem's life be cut so suddenly short : (

    Sad to see the game end. I was HORRIBLE at it, but I think it did a great job of replicating the brutality of the 40k universe.
    Great job on the podcast! If you move onto anything else, I will definitely listen :)

      Thank you for your compliment! And no worries about player skill - I was never much good at the game, either ; )
      It's looking like it's just going to be LOTR LCG content for me, in moving forward, but if you're on board for it, then I'd be honored to have you. If not, no worries! So in either case, thanks for listening, and I hope you take care.

    Hi guys. I've been mourning the loss of Conquest ever since the announcement. I think that after players invest so much money into a game, buying every release, just to have it suddenly axed, without even rounding out the amount of warlords per faction is appalling. Fuck GW indeed! Clearly I needed some closure, and I just wanted to say that this podcast really helped. You are much appreciated. And Mitches comments about people interacting inspired me to reactivate my you tube account just to write this. I've just looked at the Black crusade cards and that stuff is getting printed out and used for sure (I don't play online). Luckily I just got into the LOTR LCG so I will certainly be following Mitch there. CONQUEST was and is amazing and You guys rule. Cheers.

      Thank you very much for taking the time to write out such a kind and humbling comment, my good sir. It's a tragedy that Conquest ended as abruptly as it did, and it's a damn shame not knowing what was intended to be released for each of the factions that did not receive a warlord during the Death World cycle.
      All signs seem to suggest that the next Deluxe Expansion planned for release was going to be Ork focused (some artwork "leaked," etc), and it would have been awesome for one of the CORE set's worst-performing factions to (probably) end up stealing the spotlight from Dark Eldar and the other best performers - though Orks ended up in an alright place in the end, courtesy of Squiggoth Brute, etc. Ah well!
      Anyhow, I'm very glad to hear that you enjoyed the podcast while it lasted, and I really appreciate your taking the time to share your sentiments. I made sure that Sam saw your comment, also, and he's pleased that you like the Black Crusade cards. There was certainly a lot of time, labor, and love that went into each and every one of them!
      Best wishes to you, and for LOTR stuff, I look forward to more Progression Series episodes to come soon. Until then, take care, and have a good one!

    Balls I just discovered the LCG... I think I would've loved this game. But I can completely understand with how polarizing a chokehold the Magic/Yu-Gi-Oh/Pokemon trinity have on the market, especially when you compare the numbers, and lately GW is all about the bottom line. Obscure CCGs just can't survive the without the support and patience, reaching out to stores organizing events etc... they need to establish a self sufficient fanbase.

    • @TheHiveTyrant
      @TheHiveTyrant  Před 7 lety +1

      Unfortunately, Conquest was just one of about twenty or so casualties when GW and FFG parted ways. A damn shame to have lost such a gem! All the same, there are a couple ongoing community efforts to keep producing unofficial cards, if that's of any interest to you. And "dead card game" or no, there's still plenty of enjoyment to be had on OCTGN if you'd want to give it a shot! Either way, thanks for listening, thanks for commenting, and have a good one.

    why are death world cycle packs so freaking expensive?

    • @TheHiveTyrant
      @TheHiveTyrant  Před 7 lety

      They must have only printed a handful, because they have *always* been way too expensive. Even upon first release, they seemed hard to come by.
