    The silverhand symbol actually fits really well. Tyr sacrificed his arm for the greater good and ultimately brought victory over evil to Azeroth. As such the hand symbolizes the victory and willingness to sacrifice for others sake.

    Wait so.. the reason Dalaran is flying above Northrend is that the magic was severely weakened by Malygos.. so they somehow, with weakened magic powers, teleported a whole city right into the cave of the lion - where the Dragon Aspect of Magic was, who siphoned pretty much all the power to the Oculus - and kept it afloat (and apparently magically shielded, because how the hell did they not get instantly obliterated at that point?).. all while their magic was weakened?

    With the players now aware of how the Shadowlands function, the Jailor's existence and his plans, they bring this info back to the Dragon Aspects, and with it the Bronze Dragonflight are now able to look out for any unnoticed anomalies that could have been the Jailor changing the true timeline for it to be part of his influence.

Sure, the bad version of the bronze aspect helps the old gods too, but as a side-product of his own will. The rest are "just corrupted" and were portrayed as being "just corrupted" before the bronze aspect even was.
      With the nightmare, it's the opposite of the emerald dream. Makes sense.
      With Deathwing, his entire existence sucked and he wanted out. N'zoth was like, "gotcha fam". Makes sense.

      @phantafalconpunch Před 2 lety +2

      @@Gorgovoid173 I never brought up Deathwing, he doesn't matter to this conversation.
      And the Emerald Nightmare had no reason to be connected to the Old Gods either. Tell me, why did they have to connect the two? Why not say that the Emerald Nightmare is the manifestation of nature's endgame, where everything rots, decays and is turned to lifeless husks, and it's trying to take over the emerald dream, and the Nightmare Dragons are a manifestation of the rotting and wilting of nature. The opposite of the Emerald Dragons
      Much like the Infinite Dragonflight, the Emerald Dragonflight also has a far more interesting alternative idea and has no reason to be connected to the Old Gods

    • @Gorgovoid173
      @Gorgovoid173 Před 2 lety

      @@phantafalconpunch Deathwing is one of the main focuses of this video. With that in mind, I decided to give an example for him too.
      When you boil anything down far enough, it'll become arbitrary, but with the Emerald Nightmare it actually does make sense to be connected to the old gods. The reason being, that the Emerald Dream is a vision of the ideal Azeroth without mortal interference. You know? the planet that used to be completely infested with old gods before the Titans swooped in?
      So it makes sense for the Nightmare to have a connection to the old gods, if it's the opposite of the ideal vision. It's very Ying and Yang and it does make sense, since most things are a struggle of balance between different eternities in this game. It's just sticking to the theme. If you're complaining that it's not the way you wanted, then that's a you problem.
      The difference between this and the infinite dragonflight, is that if they went with the existentialism all the way, it would've been a more interesting story instead of just incorporating the old gods into the mix, since they're almost always everywhere every time anyway.
      And the more major difference, is that the infinite does not ORIGINATE with the old gods. It originates with Nozdormu. It would've been swell, if that's the way it went all the way.
      Though, despite being long-winded, I do actually think it's not that big of a deal that the infinite has a connection to the old gods. The bronze dragonflight to me is the most arbitrary and needlessly overpowered of them all. And I really just don't like time travel, when it's done poorly... And it's done poorly very often indeed.
      However, the difference between the two flights, is very clear in my eyes.

Tyr willingly sacrificed a piece of himself to help the Pre-Aspect proto-drakes kill Galakrond, who had become a threat to life on Azeroth.

    Zack, Galakrond is a big plagued unliving proto dragon. Unliving is like undead, but they pretend its different. (we fought those mobs in arden weald leveling ysera dream). He does plague breath on steroids, all he touches, scratches, eats - dies. And he also has eternal hunger similiar to a death knight, forced to kill something every 24 hours in order to not feel excruciating pain. That's why his own kind becomes unliving. (All from dawn of the aspects book context)
    Malygos is a big brain bodybuilder dragon on titan steroids, who eats other steroid bros and his protein synthesis allowed him to become a gigachad again.

    That nozdormu/future nozdormu questline should've been fleshed out to be an entire expansion by itself. There's so much depth and human emotion that could be explored in it. The villain future version of him could've been a Thanos like sympathetic villain that the player can relate to. That should've been the dragon villain expansion instead of Cataclysm. There's so many cool alternate reality dungeons/raids that could be made in that expansion where the writers could just go crazy with their craziest ideas without having to worry about lore implications because they'd be alternate timelines that wouldn't affect anything in the main timeline.

    Well, I may love dragons a lot, being my favorite fantasy creature of all time, but I have to say that the dragon aspects really fucked up the one thing they were supposed to do. They failed to stop the burning legion from nearly destroying Azeroth, they didn’t stop the content from splitting apart or anything that led up to that disaster, they really didn’t do much at all without the help of everyone else. Heck the only reason they stopped Deathwing was because we were there doing most of the work, lol. I think the Titans kind of made a mistake in powering the aspects. Really, they gave them power just for chocking a giant dragon to death with a huge builder, I’m sure you need to do a little more than that to earn god like power, guys. 😆

    In War of the Ancients, you find out that at that 10, 000 year marker was around the time when Neltharion was truly corrupted but in all honestly, any being that takes on the mantle of Earth-Warden would become corrupted eventually. According to the book, there are ancient spirits within Azeroth's core that whispered to him for thousands of years and told him that the other Aspects were jealous and conspiring against him. At the same time, Azshara had begun utilizing the Night Well's power to open a portal for the Fel and its minions. The Fel was causing unbalance everywhere as they were unnatural creatures so the Aspects had a meeting to discuss what they were going to do. In this meeting, Nelthanrion suggested the creation of the Dragon Soul; a disk-like object that would habor the essence of each Aspect to be used against the Fel. He secretly had his own plans with the weapon and ultimately, ended up using it on Malygos's plight, ending the Blue in one foul wash of magic, which caused Maly to lose his mind; he was never the same after seeing his entire flight perish. However, Krasus, who is Alexstraza's main consort, was able to safely retrieve and keep safe a bunch of Blue eggs to ensure their survival. Its a shame when you read the book cause Neltharion clearly had so many intimate and memorable experiences with his Brothers and Sisters (the Aspects) but the corruption from being the Earth-Warden is ultimately what destroys that bond. Its a heavy mantle to bear and I don't think the Titans ever helped him with dealing with it :(

    @25:18 watch from here for a min before reading the comment for it to make sense
    Imagine blizzard listens to the lore that asmongold suggested and they create a boss of the bronze dragon flight.
    This boss is the leader of the lore he mentioned (saving themselves from a certain death) and then they add an NPC close to the boss that is called “Asmon of the silver hand” and he is a paladin(Hi Mcconnell). Once u talk to him he has the old intro of asmon’s videos “sup guys this is your boi asmon of the silver hand”. After talking to him you get a very minor buff “
    you get gut or get gutted” or whatever it is spelled like that gives very little help in terms of stats or whatever, but also this buff makes one random person with the buff to bladestorm and be unable to move so he dies to mechanics .
    If you kill the boss with asmon of the silver hand’s buff you get an achievement that is part of the glory achievements for the raid.
    I don’t usually comment on CZcams videos, but thought the idea might be interesting.
    Edit: I didn’t think of a name for the achievement so feel free to share a suitable name.

    I think people hate a bit too much on the Madness of Deathwing fight. Sure, spine was a pain in the ass but Madness had some cool visuals and the fight itself was intense. Yea we fought tentacles but the surrounding area was one of the best. The really bad part of Dragon Soul were the Morchok, Yor’shaj (or whatever his name was), Zon’ozz and Hagara fights. All of their models were reused and the fact that there were 2 identical boss rooms. The “flying to the next boss on a drake of a different color” was also lame, but from Ultraxion it was a cool raid.
