    I don't think anybody should be allowed in the locker rooms directly after games. Male or female. I think there should be like a separate clubhouse or area for those post game interviews to take place

      Aaron Beckmann As someone who played organised sports throughout my teen years I can say that loads of stuff happened in locker rooms that when viewed by others may make them uncomfortable, but we were just having fun after a game and not all of it would be considered professional. My point was the reporters have no right to demand that players behave in a certain way in locker rooms because they are invading the players personal space and the players should be able to act however they would if the reporters were not around

      oh i agree, i wrestled in high school and we were required to shower after school in the locker room cause it could make sure that we weren't getting things like ringworm and we loved to make all the other sports uncomfortable. but that was the reason behind this entire thing. Not to say that players shouldn't be doing this, but to say that the reporters don't wanna be in there and its already uncomfortable for them, its not something they enjoy

    Get all reporters (regardless of sex) out of the locker room. The players are never in the right state of mind and all that reporters are doing is trying to get a snippet to make a headline. Make the players come out and face the media that need to and leave the locker room to the privacy of the players. Regardless of sport.

Why should they change this practice because you are there...which leads me to this question: What information do she think that she could get from a player before he showers that she couldn't get 10 minutes AFTER he showers and puts his clothes on? Have players been known to give false info after they've had a shower?

And lastly, if a male reporter was allowed in a female locker room, would the athletes flash the reporters just because they are immature and male. And if so, is that really any more mature than what the guys she is talking about did. Oh and by the way, Males are allowed in female locker rooms. the WNBA has the same rules when it comes to reporters as the NBA.

  • @KasperG87
    @KasperG87 Před 7 lety

    I agree to some degree. However does this happen in the same way for male reporters covering women's sports? Also I find the word degrading inappropiate. I think that the issue is there, however it is also a story around equality. Those men who flashed you, will always show off, flirt or genuinely just mess around to have fun. That will never happen to a male reporter inside the lockerroom of women's sports. If anyone can find a story that proves otherwise, then you still have to understand that this is part of the game, men plays with any attractive women. It is not degrading. It is in many was how the instinct of any man is and also in sports these men are more prone to it. Also this doesn't change if you went to a mens lockerroom for a 10th division team. They will still behave like this, so I think that in some sense the whole setting of the environment is an addition to what comes with the job. Of course the male athletes will not flash a male reporter even if they wanted to. In a case like Kristine is talking about, it is almost the athletes lack of respect that should be in question. When she walks in, she is not only a reporter, she is also an attractive woman. That is undeniable and if she demands respect, then she should just grab something, twist it a bit and simply ask if he wants to have children one day and walk away afterwards.

    Plumbers have to work on septic tanks. It's a part of your job that you fought to access to. If ALL the men there (players & press for decades) had/have to see junk so do you.
    As for the flashing.... News flash, ever hear of the phrase teabagging? Dudes farting on pillows, mooning etc. Males can sometimes engage in very "suspect" behavior around other men, especially in locker rooms. Females aren't being singled out. You're being included into the immaturity.

      Their fucking men don't defend 20 and 30 year old for doing dumb shit like that.

      +Drake Dayton WTF IS WRONG WITH THE READING COMPREHENSION OF PPL TODAY! Where in my post did I defend ANYTHING. I called it IMMATURE and compared it to dealing with SHIT. Newsflash! You're not a special snowflake. Nobody owes you anything and you are entitled to nothing. You're in a locker room. Dudes like that in that environment do inappropriate shit TO OTHER DUDES.
      She's in someone's personal space. She doesn't want to see dicks. They probably don't want mics and cameras in their face at the end of their workday. Everybody has shit about their job they have to deal with. What great advantage is gained or lost in not waiting for someone to get dressed? Deal with it or quit.

      Sid Jones she's talking about players purposely flashing to female reporters. Yes, in that case she's ENTITLED to some respect, everyone who is just doing a job does.
