50:50 - Part Three (10.54)
October 23, 1975
Fairfield Halls (Croydon)
Edgar Froese, Chris Franke, Peter Baumann
Large parts of this concert were used for Ricochet, Part Two. The first 20 minute long track sounds remarkably like the intro of Ricochet, Part One, but soon develops into a completely new composition. Anyone who loves Ricochet (1975) will find this recording unmissable.

Concert Three - Hudba
I was to young at this time to be part of this gig in 1975. But I fell in love with this album some years later, Ricochet. So called "live". I since know that it has been remastered and mixed with several différents sets. But the magic is there every time I listen to it. I mean every night when I go to bed. I fell in love with synthesizers and more precisely with sequencers with this album. Froese, Franke & Baumann are forever in my heart.
They knew how to piece together all the great bits.
You were to(o) young. "I was to yong" is wrong. Learn before write.
@@alessandromarchesini9039 you get a lot of joy out of correcting people I can tell
I was 10 then. 46 years later, the greatest TD fan. Love it. Greetings from Belgium. Dirk.
I was at the Fairfield Halls a year later in November '76 for the STRATOSFEAR tour........a memorable night .
What would I have to give to see this back in the day.. Richocet!!
I'm bummed to learn Edgar passed a few day ago. RIP. TD has been a BIG part of my musical life since 73 and it won't be the same without Edgar's new music.
This is my favorite (triple) synthesizer band of all time; since 1969 they have rocked the world with their concerts, last one (i know of) was Nov 2013 so far....rock on
They're still gigging in 2014 (although it's a very different line-up/style these days). EF is still at the helm though :)

the sequence and rhythm of the first part is ... phenomenon, excellent collection disc
I was at this gig and my over-riding memory of that night was the heavy smell of 'Natures Finest'... :-)
Good comment! Unfortunately I was only 2 at the time. Had I been old enough, I'd have been there! :D
I was there and watched the huge plumes of as you describe, "Nature's Finest" rising up all around me!
You just had to sit there and inhale!
What a concert!
Some of the most wonderful moments of my life have been the middle of the night my local time, in a marathon programming session, taking a deep draw of the vape, and attaining Satori listening to this concert.
One of those moments, like just now
I was there! It was two days after The Who were live at Wembley Empire Pool so I was fortunate to be at both. Such great music over three days!
awesome concert from tangerine dream live october 23 1975 in croyden. good bootleg too. the kings of electronic music. edgar froese, chris franke, and peter baumann, legends still think they was at their best with this lineup. and this concert was during the magic virgin years.
Cool cover/sleeve. :-)
everything so amazing/magical was made before we were born. Just thank God we get to enjoy them all!! Gotta love the good ole days buddy! I'd so love to go back in a time machine!
Becky Starr true and they was still going up to this year.
To me this shows the depth of work and sweat that goes into creating one of the best sets ever made (Ricochet). It's not all perfect but still an essential part of the process of creating great art. I think I can see what they've done with part2, they've cut the piano beginning and inserted a shorter studio recorded segment to make the whole thing fit on a single side of a vinyl LP.
Thanx for this bit of Musical History.
Saw TD at Birmingham Town Hall, Oct 12th 1975, it was my first ever concert ! ( I was 14 yrs old, ticket £1.60 ! )
Performed in near darkness, lots of flashing lights on consoles around each of them, think there may have been some visuals on a screen too - all added to the atmosphere or should I say "Stratosphere."

@@RichardW001 Thanx for link. Been to a lot of great concerts over the yrs 1975-86, even got onto 2x CD recording of "The Wall" at Earl's Court, right at the very end shouting Walley ! All Best, Richard.
Nice One. I started in 1977 with Rush. Seen hundreds of bands - Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Bad Company, Iron Maiden, Scorpions, UFO, Journey, Ozzy, Rainbow, BOC etc etc. Never saw TD though. I had tickets for 1981 in Newcastle but somehow managed to get Chicken Pox and was too ill to see them.
@@RichardW001 Sure you've got plenty of happy memories Richard.
Would have liked to have see Bad Co, & Free for that matter.
UFO - great Live, with MS, & another 1st for me - 1st time with my 35mm Camera.
Sorry you missed TD. My 1st Concert should have been Cockney Rebel, at Brum TH, just prior to TD, but was cancelled. But I can still enjoy their 2012 DVD of the first 2 "Classic" albums. Thankfully there's also plenty of TD etc on YT.
Keep enjoying your music.
Tangerine Dream group was founded in 1967. This is their first live album (1975). In this show, Td play the music of "Ricochet"( lp published in1975)...This isn't TD first composition.
All the 🎵 🎵🎵🎵 70s stuff is unreal . This stands out 46 years later Still listening and geting stoned to T.Dream
Absolutely fantastic.
Thanks to the multi-track recording lots Edgar's guitar on track 2 was (very thankfully IMO) removed/faded out for Ricochet. Probably even the guys thought it was too much...
This is awesome, many thanks! Edgar Froese R.I.P.
yay thanx for these!
thank you for uploading
Appreciate this.
....The 70`s was and are the main and the greatest sequence of TD....very wonderful.
Thanks!!
I was born on that day!
excellent piece from T.D's best era!
Orale....The 70`s was and are the main and the greatest sequence of TD....very wonderful.
This takes me back. I saw them for the first time as a wide-eyed teenager on the Oct 75 tour at the Colston Hall, Bristol. I always wondered whether a recording of that session existed. This is probably as near as it gets. Yes I would agree that the 70s were the best years when they were full of innovation, technically and musically. Seminal stuff at the time.

Richard John Excellent. It sounds just as avant garde as I remembered it. Thanks Richard. Will take a download.
Gold!!!
as treepy as the day, bless its heart, is long, zanies
Fantástico! 🤘

Nice
Am I wrong but l can recognize after half an hour the essential squeleton of Ricochet part2 (without the introduction) in a slightly different way? Unfortunately in a very poor quality because of the substantial reverberation halo like it was taken by a very far ambiance mic in that place. Well most of the remaining music recorded here is captivating but suffers mostly because of that surround sound. I guess that the original Ricochet album must have been captured around this time in a much better shape and then properly remixed? A rare audio footage indeed. Thanks
Apparently Ricochet came from over 26 miles of audio tape - a montage of what the guys were doing way back when. So you hear bits from Croydon Coventry Liverpool York and more...If you can - listen to the LP - CD crushes it. Trust me.
@@bigjimtanguk7525 There is nothing on Ricochet from any of the gigs other than Croydon. The rest of the LP was made in the studio shortly after the tour.
Ricochet basically. 😊👍
How can I obtain one of these CD's?
It's in the Bootleg Box Set Volume 1. You can buy it on Amazon.
great concert...papa is right...oó
Hi Richard. What happened to the Royal Albert Hall 1975 recording? I bookmarked it but it now appears as deleted? Any chance you could share offline? Thanks for your great work! All the best. Carlos.
The new 18 cd box set is coming out soon. So 8 of my TD videos have been blocked worldwide. Ricochet, Phaedra, RAH, etc.
Crisis averted! I found your entry in the Mclip site which was still alive. Many thanks! :-)
I've no idea what that site is, but I'm glad you found it.

I think all or most of your videos have been uploaded there, with your name.
I prefer it when they started making actual music rather than hippie noise.
I am a long time tangerine dreamer, this is excellent, and not derivative of encore or stratosfear my favorites. Even aqua has no developingusic egg here ALL NEW TD
