I love those tiny tiny micro PCs they are releasing nowadays and how powerful they are!!!
Could you please do a video on how you set up your NAS
Another video on virtual machines would be great too
Another Great vid. Keep e'm coming. You Rock. :)
How does this perform over time with heat?
mine came with home, not pro. I never realized how much i liked having a portable pc until i had one. I have been tossing this thing in the backpack all week. work has 100+Mbps internet. home has 10ish. brought it to work, plugged in monitor and power and downloaded GW2 in 30ish minutes. Would have taken me half a day at home. Also, been nice to just take the entire pc to work to do Windows updating and file transfers instead of lugging usb back and forth. Absolutely love this little pc so far. Only hiccups ive so far was that my older lcd monitor started having black loading screen issues with it while using the supplied HDMI cable. not sure why. Bought a new cable from Amazon and problem went away. Also, Windows 7 or older Windows OS's will not install to the SSD hard drive if you want to dual boot with Win 11. Cant imagine many people would want to anyways, but will throw that out there for the four or five of us that might want to.
They're actually getting really good now.
About to sell my gaming desktop in a few days, being a new dad doesn't leave me much time for gaming. I will very much most likely buy this.
I would totally use this as a lower power Linux box.
It is perfect for a emulator and music system. You would definitely need a dac but it could be worse.
I mean, all onboard soundcards suck. Outboard cards have been the thing for like 20 years.
You're becoming the Mini Mart of PC's. I'll send you my version in the mail ;)
can you please test this with an eGPU!! Would love lug this around with my Aorus Gaming Box 2070
Lol click analyze to begin. Is that the stabilizer from premiere or after effects?
Basically a portable HTPC and Emulator... very cool tech!
FYI you can use this in single cable mode if your monitor has usb-c power pass through. You don't even need to plug it in.
I am dreaming of gaming PC in my converted station wagon RV, the performance still isn't quite what I want but they're very close.
$640 with coupon. Got Damn. Nice little box but meh... need price to drop more.
I wish USBC had some kind of PCI Express substitution bypass so we could use devices like this forever and just upgrade the GPU as accordingly. The framework laptop company seemed to be on the right track with making something like this a reality but it's the Holly Grail of mobile gaming\Nuc gaming. The embedded gpu's are fine for now but the aren't GTA6 ready
USB4 actually does support PCIe passthrough ala Thunderbolt. It's a lower spec solution though. I don't remember the PCIe gen, it's four lanes, and there's overhead involved in the conversion.
When people mention eGPUs for mini-PCs, I'm usually quick to recommend the larger but more competent in this department Minisforum UM780XTX, with its OCuLink port that's literally "four PCIe4 lanes on the back of your PC" with no overhead. It also has the more powerful 7840HS.
If you don't mind a slightly older solution the Minisforum B550 offers both a desktop CPU and a dockable full size GPU. It's only compatible with AMD AM4 processors and APUs though.
Already "unavailable" on the Amazon link...
Wouldn't mind if it was four times the size, but it's nice to se something crazy too.
cluster time!
The noise from the fan, and it was so slow doing windows tasks I sent it back the same day 😂
Did you buy the same thing because it sounds like you got a totally different computer
yeah exactly the same product i even went higher than 28 watts on the apu but still was very slow, came with the 6400mhz 32gb model and windows 11 pre installed. @@teksyndicate
Holy wow, that system is like a toy! I thought my um690 was small haha
18:26 I have ordered the same Minisforum MS-01 PC and I can't wait to get my hands on it.
will it run morrowind and my 250 mods
Yeah especially when traveling many airplanes that is good.
I see it can support LPDDR5X-7500
Mini PC Syndicate
For a machine that size, it's excellent. No future updates for Yuzu!
This tiny box has better specs than my main laptop.
Is it available with an 8700g?
8700g is a desktop cpu so no. iGPU is the same, almost no performance difference
just bought one
BG3 is like the weirdest benchmark, as I played 2/3rds of the game on 'modern lowend' - a Pentium g7400 and Arc a380 - just to see if I could be done. Until Act III, it was often a 60+ experience - but it wasn't always... normal. The fact this little potato frog, no offense, can pull what it does at medium is truly 'moving forward'. My personal spud toad was running 64GB of DDR5... The computer is my 'up and coming main PC' and my test bench for weirdness right now.
Integrated graphics will the be the nail in the coffin of the post-scalper pandemic pricing of modern graphics cards.
This is only the beginning.
But its %&$#ing $800!!!! seriously, I mean, if I buy it at that price I really might as well go get like a GPD Win 4 for the same or a few bucks more and get the utility of a handheld to boot.. I just dont see the point at this price... maybe at like $299
Powa to da mini, powa to the people, powa to the tek syndicate, powa to we the people.
RIP Yuzu 😢
That's so much money for 1080p medium
I also have a PC that's 50x bigger for my main rig, so this isn't made to replace that
Can you please do a video on how to use a key with Microsoft office
Get whokeys to sponsor it
Edit: Thank you for your consideration. I know it seems simple, but your video on how to use a key to upgrade from home to pro was great and very helpful. I hope you can do that for office too.
Hello does anyone know what the smallest pc is while having the ability to updated the GPU and CPU down the road?
I have heard Asrock will release soon the X600 Deskmini. And you can use an 8700G there supposedly. However no information on the date yet. I have the X300 Deskmini and it is about the size of an ATX Power Supply.
You are probably going to want to target the ITX desktop segment. Most minis accomplish their tiny size via high integration with laptop spec parts that can't be upgraded.
Even the ones that use desktop APUs don't include GPUs, and those that do are soldered down.
You can build ITX PCs pretty small these days, but you're definitely paying a premium both in physical size and in cost of the components.
-- Ninja Edit: There's also the Minisforum B550 Pro. It is an older spec unit though that only accepts Ryzen AM4 desktop processors and APUs. It uses an external dock for GPUs.
Exactly if you want to upgrade later, then go with a Mini ITX which is the smallest format you can get with PCI Express Slot to add a GPU later on and with Desktop sockets. You can make something the size of a home console or something like that with a GPU@@FerralVideo
Unlock Apple TVs and hack steam into that shit EZ

My ex girlfriend used to tell me I had the fastest smallest PC ever but my gaming PC is huge so idk what she was talking about... Oh wait..
WAY too expensive
Waaay too expensive for a system that weak. I honestly don't see the point of it...
I don't think you know what you're talking about. I wouldn't call the 7840u "weak." It is highly competent in many facets. It does not struggle to do any tasks, and can run circles around the Intel n100. The igpu probably scores between a 1050 ti and a 1060 3gb dgpu. Since it has a USB 4 you could attach an external GPU down the road.
Price, expensive? Not really. I've been looking at these type PCs, and the lowest priced new PC with a 7840u was like $500. I don't think I've seen one with 32gb of 6400mhz ram like this one. If you don't like the size of the machine then this isn't for you because the size also carries a premium. It's a boutique item with a fairly boutique price.
You don't see the point because you only see the tip since you suck weeeeen
Brother, you can put it into your pocket
Lol, you ain t know nothing, this thing is perfect for traveling and it s far from being weak, it would destroyed 99% of Laptops older than 3 years
@@piesareround it's the smallest, most performant PC system.
