- Version 4.5 special program has been concluded, and there's not much to talk about other than the new banner. There's a lot of confusion among players, so in this video we will discuss how this new banner will work?
So during the livestream, hoyoverse announced a new type of banner which will be implemented in version 4.5. This new banner will be called Chronicled Wish. It is a new type of Event Wish that allows you to wish for certain rerun characters and weapons.
You can obtain a random 5-star, 4-star, and 3-star items from this banner, and unlike other Event Wishes, the item list of Chronicled Wish includes both 5-star characters and 5-star weapons, and It will also include limited characters and weapons.
Wishes for Chronicled Wish will require Intertwined Fates. Before wishing, you must choose your Chronicled Path by selecting a 5-star character or weapon from the list of 5-star items. If the selected Item is a character, the 5-star items you can obtain in the Wish will all be characters; whereas if the selected Item is a weapon, the 5-star items you can obtain in the Wish will all be weapons.
There are guarantees for both the 5-star and 4-star items in the Wish, and The maximum pity for a guaranteed 5 star character or weapon is ninety. When you obtain a 5-star item in this Event Wish, there is a 50% chance it will be the Item you selected. After choosing a 5-star item, if you obtain a 5-star item that you didn't select, you will receive 1 Fate Point. Once you have obtained 1 Fate Point, the next 5-star item you obtain through this Wish is guaranteed to be the character or weapon you selected.
And, Obtaining the selected character or weapon, or changing your choice, will reset the Fate Points to 0. You are guaranteed to win a 4-star or above item at least once every 10 attempts, just like every other banner. To take Version 4.5 Chronicled Wish as an example, if you chose the character let's say, Jean, then the 5-star character you might receive would be limited to the characters featured on this banner, and would therefore not include weapons.
As Jean is the selected character, if you were to receive the character let's say Eula instead, you would receive 1 Fate Point, which is the maximum amount. And the next 5-star item that you'd obtain would then be guaranteed to be Jean, and the same goes for the weapons.
But let's say version 4.5 has ended, and you couldn't get the character because you didn't have enough wishes, what will happen then?
In that case, the wish guarantee count will continue to accumulate within Chronicled Wish, and will carry over to the next Chronicled Wish. The wish guarantee count for this new banner is independent of the guarantee counts for other types of Wishes. Which means your pity on this new banner won't be carried over to the limited banners.
And your fate Points will also not be carried over to the next Chronicled Wish. Which means your Fate Points will be reset to 0 when version 4.5 ends.
For example, In the 4.5 patch you chart a course towards Jean, but the first 5-star character you obtain is albedo. As albedo is not the one you selected, you obtain 1 Fate Point for that Chronicled Path.
You make another 10 wishes during the same Chronicled Wish, but don't receive a 5-star item, so you are still 80 wishes away from being guaranteed a 5-star item. You then don't make any other wishes during the 4.5 Chronicled Wish due to whatever reasons.
Once the 4.6 Chronicled Wish begins, your accumulated pity is carried over from the 4.5 Chronicled Wish, but your Fate Points for 4.6 Chronicled Path will be reset to 0, which means your next 5 star item will not be guaranteed.
This new banner will reset in each update. Only event-exclusive 5-star characters that have already appeared in the Character Event Wish at least 3 times and have also not appeared in any recent Event Wishes will appear in Chronicled Wish.
Event-exclusive 5-star characters that have already appeared in Chronicled Wish may still appear in future Chronicled Wishes or other types of event wishes.

No, it’s really not great when you’re reset to 50/50 at the beginning of each new banner. The limited banner will carry over, why wouldn’t this one? Unless I had at least 180 wishes (or more) ready it’s a huge risk, especially since it costs intertwined fates. This creates a situation where you could lose on every banner unless you have 180 wishes ready to spend, and then you just use all your currency that you could have spent on a limited banner where the 50-50 carries over.
its only bad if u didn't save up. If you only pull on the banner when u know u can get 2 5 stars if you have to then its only a positive addition. Its only bad if u yolo
Unless u are a whale, saving would require u to skip out on 4 patches (since each nets around 70 wishes). So really, this banner is asking you to make a big sacrifice on old, outdated shit.@@SoulHydron
Bro, it’s only not that good for characters, but remember this banner is only for outdated characters. You’d rather risk a 50/50 one time or wait 3 years for a rerun for a very specific character? Most of the characters here are standard anyway.
And for weapons this is perfect, you don’t need 3 fate points anymore, just 1.

@@shonenhikada9254 most players only pull when they want a char. Most people wont pull on every single banner, and already save up for characters that they want, this banner doesn't change that. Out of my like 10 friends that play Genshin, theres only 1 or 2 of them that yolo pull on every banner. Everyone else somewhat saves. A couple of us have even hit over 30k primos from time to time from saving. Its really not that hard to do. For a f2p, if you want to guarantee a character you want, you have to save up to around 24000 primos anyways. Theres plenty of people that just do that.
Otherwise how would u explain f2p players being able to get stuff like c2 Raiden?

I mean everyone can say the banner sucks but I've always wanted a way to get mona constellations, she's my main yet is only c1. I've also always wanted diluc lol. As well as eulas weapon so I think the banner is quite nice
it doesnt suck they suck. You can kinda tell by how smart a youtubers' community by their vids comments. That's why rn you'll se some videos have generally very positive opinions of the banner, while other vids have everyone complaining. But specifically for this addition, its a very positive addition of a banner. Yes there are a couple of downsides and things to watch out, but as long as you keep those things in mind and are smart about your pulls its only a positive thing

If you’re f2p, this should mostly be a positive addition. But all I’m seeing is negative comments.
From reading the comments, I get the feeling that they are entitled to every characters like a whale but not spend any money. They want to have every characters and wish on every limit banner without having to save up the primogems.
Tbh I've been wondering when Eula's coming back so I'm quite glad we have this new wishing system to wish on instead of having to wait. Idk for me, none of the new characters really interest me atm so I'm just waiting for reruns, specifically older characters. Also, I've been wanting the WGS for my diluc as well so that's a plus.
Honestly- if there was a banner people should be complaining about it should be the normal weapon banner- I don’t get why people complaining about this one- it’s so much more fair

I'm glad the pity for this banner is seperate from other banners, it was my biggest worry when i heard about it.

I see many people saying you need 180 intertwined fates before you start pulling on this banner, so let me help you make it easier. You need at least 91. I'd recommend considering 90 wishes as 0. This way if you have 100 fates, you pull 10 times, if you don't get a 5 star character, you save more and try again. If you don't end up getting a 5 star character in the banner, your pity will be carried over to the next one so no loss there. If you do get a 5 star character after 10 pulls, then congratulations you still have 90 pulls left meaning a guaranteed character or weapon 🎉
Essentially, don't pull on the Chronicled banner unless you're feeling lucky, you wouldn't mind getting the other characters or weapons or you have 180 pulls to guarantee your character or weapon. Just in case you lose 50/50.
Near the end of the segment, MHY mentioned something about getting a weapon of the same class, but i didn't catch the whole comment on that. Does that mean that if you lose 50/50 while pulling for a weapon, you'll at least get the same class of weapon? So, if you're pulling for Reed but lose 50/50, are you at least guaranteed to get a claymore like the WGS?
I kind of wish this banner hadn't come until after Arlecchino. I'm extremely tempted to throw all of my gems and Intertwined at Beacon, but if I do I won't have the 180 pulls for Arlecchino.
You don't need 180 pulls. Hardly No one gets to 90 pity, most people get a five star between 75-80 wishes so that would be 160 for a gaurentee but then you can also calculate the star glitter you will accumulated by wishing and can turn into more wishes. So all and all considering your not extremely to the max unlucky, you only need to save like 140 wishes to feel secure in gaurenteeing a five star of choice

Even though statistically most people pull the 5 star at 78 to 82, that still leaves a chance that you could be the unlucky person to hit 90. Don't ignore words when you're trying to make a point.

If every person on the planet wished up to 180 times each day until they got a limited 5 star. It would take on average 40 years before the first person goes all of the way to 180 wishes. Even talking about "100% chance" is pointless and misleading. No one needs to save 180 wishes, that's terrible advice. 160-170 is more than enough, depending on the level of risk you find acceptable.
I think the same class goes for the 4 star weapons since you cannot receive 5 star weapon if you chose the characte. the good thing about this is it's basically weapon banner 2.0 but less expensive

Okay, after 70 bullshit wishes, I finally got a Fate Point, what the hell do I do now. It's glowing, it doesn't say claim your character. I rolled again and it didn't give me the character. What am I doing wrong? This fate point thing is so confusing.

The problem is that Mondstadt only has 3 limited 5 star characters plus Venti. They had to dip into the standard banner for this Chronicled banner for that reason.
The fact that Venti was not put on this banner means that Archons will NOT show up on the Chronicled Banners.
Maybe in the future if more Mondstadt Limited characters are released, like the actual Captain of the Knights of Favonius, we can get a Mondstadt Chronicled Banner with all Limited characters and weapons.
When the next Chronicled Banner releases, it will probably have only Limited characters. However that worries me because Keqing is not a limited character and she's the one I would want to pull for out of Liyue's cast.
Also, does Liyue have enough limited 5 star characters without Zhongli to put on a Chronicled Banner?
Hu Tao, Ganyu, Shenhe, Xiao, Xianyun?
Would Xianyun qualify since her banner just ended? Does this mean that in the Liyue Chronicled Banner people can still lose 50/50 to Qiqi?
Speaking of Liyue, i don't think the Harbingers, like Childe, will be on Chronicled Banners either.

so the biggest question here is that, does this fate point be reset after new patch or cycle? and wtf they should just place other limited heroes here with exemptions to tighnari, dehya, as they were new and just threw on standard after release....seriously, every time hoyo announces new system of wishing theres always the catch of getting all standard banner is required, why not make it to just limited with exemptions from standard like 5 limited banner character and 3 standard character....does hoyo really love to give players qiqi?, and with this system will still require limited fate one, just scrap standard banner and put this as replacement

@@unicorn-yuujiFurina if you already have a good healer that can go with her. Plus you can walk on water by using her skill and not burst like kokomi. But if really like Kokomi then go for her instead. Play the game with characters you like and that you have fun with the most.

@@unicorn-yuuji Personally I didn't need Furina since Childe is my dps, I have Kokomi and I never really liked her play style. Kokomi worked well for the sort of teams I make (specifically her jellyfish that could apply hydro off field) but everyone makes teams differently so she may not be adaptable to the sort of teams you create and the way you play
I also personally didn't need a character to walk on water, I didn't even find out Kokomi could do that till a couple months ago 😭
However, Furina is still a good character and I believe Furina can offer a bit more than Kokomi
You'll get a good hydro healer either way, so you can pick Kokomi if you like her more, or Furina if you like her more and want her other abilities :)
i used the new banner and wanted Albedo but i got Klee and where am i supposed to get that Fate point? I didn’t receive anything

90 whises is just too much as an ar 59 f2p player it will take me months to save 90 whises and then i can't even have a garunteed one so basically its all comes down to my luck which does not exist..this banner sucks

Lastly, is it gonna be region exclusive everytime? For Many Sumeru characters haven't got 3 reruns yet, and, idk if they will put the 'big' banners like Alhaitham, Neuvillette, Hu Tao, Yelan, or Archons into this though.... But only time will tell

2. It will refresh every patch.
3. It will feature main event exclusive characters (probably). Which also means it's a regional banner.
There won't be any profitable characters on that banner as long as they are not outdated. Any popular character that brings a good amount of income on a limited banner will probably not be on this new type of banner for a loooong time. I could be wrong here, but I assume they just use this banner to recycle characters and weapons that are "not worth anymore" running as limited character banners. Alhaitham, Nahida, Neuvillette, Furina, Raiden, Zhongli (probably), Yelan and all other really strong and popular characters will most likely not be featured on this banner for as long as the sales for these characters are good enough to justify them getting a limited banner. At least that's what I would assume.
@@ambermain1634the archons are a no brainer, I don't expect them to be here, ever. Every limited char needs 3 runs before being added they said, so no Fontaine for a while too. That said I disagree they won't add good chars, I totally expect the likes ov Hu Tao, Yelan, Ayaka, Nilou and Wanderer making it in. If Homa makes it, will sell better than the new 5* char for sure 😂

Won't be Baizhu bc he didn't ran 3 banners, Xiao is running now, Kazuha will run next and Zhongli will probably never be added. So we are left with Hu Tao and Yelan if I'm not missing anyone. Either they put someone outside of the region or they have to give us something good. And Liyue only have two standards 5* too, and Inazuma has none.

LUL. Mora banner letsgo. Endgame is just dailies and events. Play at your pace so you dont burnout and take breaks if needed. Genshin is most fun that way

There is a 0.2% of getting the character you want without a fate point, this banner is such a scam (0.1666666667% if you don't round up)
There's a 50% chance of getting the chosen legendary, and a split chance to get a non-selected one of the same type

It does suck, because even tho you need to save 180 to guarantee a character at least before you had a 50 chance to win so a 50 chance to save 90 and if you lost it will get carried to the next banner to guarantee that character, but now you have more chance to lose than to win, you has to have 180 wish to guarantee and even if you lost you need another 180 for the next banner

It means you could get to 80 pulls, lose 50/50 and then make it back to 80 pity but not pull a second 5 star. Then the banner ends and you are sent back to 50/50. You might still have you 80 pity, but since you're on 50/50 again, you might end up losing another 50/50 because you lost your Fate Point.
