the people pulling in this banner are people who have been waiting for these characters for a long time and are aiming for them specifically (that's why only characters who haven't had a banner for a long time are included here) so logically they SHOULD have enough for 180 pulls to guarantee getting what they want. it's not a banner for the casual pullers who will be like "oh well i can save the guarantee for the next character" 😅 the ones this banner is targeted towards are the people who will go "I GET THIS CHARACTER OR I DIE"

@@Zulyaki It's fundamentally like several of the banners in HI3 where they are meant for players who have been waiting forever for an older unit and are going all in. There is even one where you get rank up coins for every 10 pulls you do and the idea is to either rank up an S rank battle suit you already own or do the full 100 pulls and get yourself a brand new SS+ rank suit in one go, since you can't use the coins to unlocked battle suits and there are no A rank suits on the banner.

True. The fact that you can get a non standard banner character if you lose 50/50 is kinda good imo. Imagine a Liyue oriented banner, you lose 50/50 trying to get Yelan but you got Hu Tao instead. It's still hella worth it if it turns out that way.
Just an example of how it can be really good like you said. Although that can only happen if the Liyue banner has both Yelan and Hu Tao so it still depends on the pool of characters / weapons

This banner is great to get weapons(less pulls needed) and to garantee the standard of your choice. People keep shitting on it, but I prefer having it rather than don't having it. The fate points not carrying is bad, but this banner stays a nice addittion that'l help to get weapon, standard, and that will ease up rerun
Although nothing is desirable for me to pull here I will say that having Amber/Kaeya/Lisa as part of it is really nice and makes C6ing them a lot more likely for the people who want them while also still being able to wish for a limited character they want.
IMO this kind of banner is the best banner Genshin ever had. Before the release, we all thought that this was a scam banner since we did not consider the 50/50, like 6 characters shared the rate evenly and high chance that we had to 180 pulls to get what we want. But with the Designated character get 50% chance, this just brings this banner to a whole new level, the best rate banner we ever had. 6 characters in the pool with 3 are limited, if you get spooked there are 40% to get a limited characters. Not the same for weapons but still higher than pulling for weapon banner (50% to get the designated weapon than the 35% usually, or 50/50 if you already lose once) and we only need 1 Fate to get what we want. And if this theme goes on, Banner like Inazuma, Fontaine dont even have standard characters.
Edit: Sad note that this banner requires characters with at least 3 rate up, so the one we get usually are the old one, at least 1,5 years old. Still best banner to get Constellation tho.

Honestly this banner is pretty good. Yeah the characters are not life changing meta and the weapons are kinda w/e. But I finally got Mona thanks to it

I find it cool, we could choose characters and weapons and there are even special weapons from the weapons banner. Let's hope Tighnari et Dehya's weapons will stay on that banner though
I dont think so, if you check the detailed, Dehya and Tighnari weapons are considered "limited", so they are likely to get replaced. But this banner still a banger because we can get spooked by limted, like a normal limited character wish but the pool is filled with less standard, more limited.
I think this banner is very cool for weapons (standard five stars weapons aged way better than five stars characters) and if you focus on specific characters.
Not completely true, I think Dehya's signature is still a great weapon for most characters

Its still a scam because your fate points don't carry over to the next Chronicle Wish. Only pull if you have 180 fates so you dont waste a gaurantee

Is this pull affect event wish? I dunno about the system, like they say standard pity dont affect event character and weapon, how about chronicle?
Its not a scam you just have to save up enough wishes to guarantee the thing you want, if you lose the 50/50 on the event banner and you dont have enough wishes you wont get that character, yes the guarantee doesnt carry over but that would take away the point of this banner...
I did some random pulls on the chronicle wish banner, just like 2, and I was so shocked when I got Eula at 2 pity. Well there goes my luck for 3 years :') I think the banner's rlly cool tho
Had an alt account on America server for a weapon and standard banner only challenge, transitioned it to Eula, won her on 12 pity and then got her signature weapon sub 70 pulls with 3 hours left on the banner. Wouldn’t pull on my main, but was insane luck for the alt

I want to say this banner was a blessing for me. Im a Venti main and I wanted Skyward Harp for the last two years. Now my Venti's damage has doubled but most importantly... The drip.

There's a 90 save strategy that I think makes this more worth it to pull on. Basically, if you have 90 pulls, and you don't plan on going all out the next banners or patch, then put 20 pulls into the banner. Did you get a 5*? If no, stop. Those 20 pulls are still 20 closer to guaranteed than you would've been at 0 and makes it easier the next time. If yes, did you lose? If no, congrats! You have what you wanted. If yes, fret not! You now have 70 pulls left, plus whatever can be obtained before the banner goes away, meaning you will get your dedicated 5* of choice.

Tbh I wasn't going to pull but Aquila favia for my qiqi was to tempting and I got lucky and got a gold 1st ten pull and since I had a lot of prioms saves for kazuha who I'm getting next and have garuteed I didn't think wasting 10 fates would be that bad so now my physical qiqi is even stronger and I have no regrets for pulling but I still don't recommend pulling on it cause you may not be so lucky ibwas shocked myself when I got it
After 3 years of playing I finally got an Amber con hopefully I can get Kaeya while trying to get Albedo.
Update: walked away with c3 Kaeya, C2 Amber, c5 Lisa, my 50/50 loss Klee (a character I didn't own till now) and an Albedo no regrets pulling on this banner😊

klee got me into genshin. she was in the first trailer I ever saw, and I loved her so much omg shes adorable and I rlly enjoy playing her! now I'm so excited to have her on the banner cuz I rlly want her
They called it a scam because:
1. Random 4 star weapon/character.
2. You need to have 80 pulls before start pulling to make it worth.
3. Only 20 days event.
4. Pull count reset after 20 days.
5. You still can lose 50-50.
6. It uses intertwined fate.
7. Its basically only for whale or player that skips multiple banner to save for the 5 star.
8. the usual character event wish is definitely worth more.
9. The only good thing is at least the weapon are guarenteed AFTER 50-50.

Sure, but imagine losing 50/50 and getting beacon of the reed sea or staff of homa. These 50/50 losses won't feel all that bad and may be actual wins in disguise.

Upsides:
1. You only loose once instead of twice
2. You can get the weapon of choice or a bigger loot pool choice of weapons/characters
3. You don't spend as many primos for this one vs the regular weapon banners.
4. You are able to prioritize past weapons/characters that aren't out anymore or often (like Tighnari's bow or Eula)
5. You aren't REQUIRED to pull. If you dont like it then don't pull on the banner 🤷♀️
Let me counter that, because i actually think (or rather thought since we've got more details) it's a really good banner:
1. It being a random is a good thing, it's not like they'd ever let u guarantee a 4 star or something, downside in that is they're only from specific region and that's fcked up
2. 180*, and it counts for every banner in this game, it's not like people are building pity in 2024, this is basically to stop the addicts, or let them pay. I know I'm the one and still don't have this urge to pull, because i know which character/weapons im going for
3. I do agree on that one, i hoped I'd last ATLEAST 2 patches, not 1. Didn't even took 1 phase in consideration
4. It's kind of 2. And 3. Problem, if you' d have more time to save (or somehow less wish per 5* which won't happen) the fate point really wouldn't be that bad, since with current income we can guarantee a 5* every 2 to 3 patches
5.? I mean, it's not like they'd give her for 1 wish, they could do it without losing a 50/50, but I'd rather get 2 5* than 1 in 180 pulls
6. I really do not understand why people want it to be acquainted, we dont get them this much more, most our wishes comes from primos, so it doesn't matter which wishes would it use. The only thing I see is that the current standard is outdated, which I kinda can agree with, but it's mostly argument for people who have everything from this banner, or want nothing, however they've stated they'd never make limited 5 star a standard one, which makes sense
7. Yes, exactly, so is every banner, unless you don't want any limited 5* or something like this, there is literally no point to use your wishes for "building pity" or something like this
8. It depends, if we don't count 4* at all, chronicled is way better since u can get second limited just by losing 50/50, but with 4*, it does depend on the limited banner ones. For example actual chtonicled, mondstadian 4* summing up are ok, but compared to chiori banner ones, chronicled are way better
9. Yeop, it's really good banner for getting weapons, and as stated before, if u want more than 1 it also gains value

This is what happens when you're not reading. People calling this banner scam are illiterate. The banner literally has a detail saying pity will not carry to the next banner so you have to prepare a certain amount of fates for this banner since it has a fate point, to actually get the character or weapon you want. Don't pull if your fates aren't enough for this banner, it's not a scam, people just can't read nowadays.

I pulled on it just out of curiosity and honestly, I don't think it's that bad. It's just like any banner but with more 5 stars and the fate points don't carry over to the next banner. It's still a 50/50 and if you lose it, the 5 star will apparently still be of the same type (?) I won the 50/50 and got Albedo since I had his weapon from the event but I wasn't particularly interested in any characters but wanted to try the new banner gimmick. I'd honestly consider wishing on it again if a character I want ever joins the pool since it's probs still better than waiting days for their banner with how many 5 stars there are now.
I pulled my first 10 wishes at this banner on Klee, absolutely not expecting anything good.

People call this a scam, but idk. It seems like a good deal to me, since I'm missing some characters (Albedo) or some of the signature weapons for the characters that I already have. I think it all boils down to the unfortunate timing, because of the confirmation of Arlecchino as a playable character and many players (including me) choosing to save for her instead.
One thing I would for it to use the aquaint fates, instead of the intertwined fates.

unless you really want something from the chronicled banner, its not recommended to pull. fate points dont carry over to the next patch so its better to save at least 180 wishes and /then/ wish on the chronicled banner *or* to pull on the limited banner instead for the current promoted character. (its also not recommended to pull on the standard banner since you could get those same characters/weapons anytime from any other character banner but that's up to you)
just save for now. For me honestly saving isn't that hard and it trains your self control. The next patch in 40 days is gonna have really good characters(at least a furina) I recommend you save until then

The 4 stars seem to be region specific with the 5 stars so I'd say it'll be good for picking up specific 4 stars.

I like the Banner, to be honest. It's just a Banner with Rates no different from other Rate-Ups but only has old 5-Stars and there is only one 5-Star involved with the Pity System.

This banner is a better weapon banner as you only need to lose once. Other then that its also a good banner for those who want older characters so its a good thing. Only wish they kept the fate point after each patch thats a big down side

The chronicled banner is not a scam as long as you have minimum 160 wishes saved so you get the item guaranteed. It's obviously a scam (I wouldn't consider it as a scam but the ignorance of the players) when you don't meet the criteria, unless you win the 50/50 (hopium)
This banner is very good if you save your primo
Especially for weapons it's much cheaper
May try for Hu Tao if she's in one of these banners
This banner is really good. Especially if you want Hu Tao's weapons or Yelan's since you only need 1 faint point, In my opinion it's worth.
I would wish on this banner if I had more fates. Hopefully the Mondstadt one reruns in less than 4 months, because by then I should have enough fates to comfortably summon on it(I want Diluc fcol)

I’ve noticed that everyone pulling on the chronicle banner has been getting more standard characters like Lisa or Amber
I got lucky and got Hunter's Path within my first 10 pulls on this banner xD
At first I didn't think this banner was actually real..After I found out it was from this video I decided to pull for Eula and got her in 3 single pulls 💪💪💪💪
Weeelll its my first time to play. I got Eula on my first pull soooo its a yes? Still cant decide if Lisa or Dori will be on the team of Rosaria and Bennet and just invest the sword from Dragonspine. Decent dmg enough for f2p.

I pulled for Dehya’s weapon and got it on 30 wishes but I regret keep pulling for Klee considering that this banner won’t save pulls so for the next banner is going to reset so yeah thanks hoyo :)
I thought this was easy c5 Lisa but gotta wait for another half a year. Again. Maybe in Sumeru banner I could try Tighnari but unless it's a limited 5* or a 5* weapon and you have +180 fates I don't think it's worth pulling for
on three separate hu tao banners, i lost all my 50/50s to jean (i have c2 jean now)
