- In what aspects is Neuvillette an ideal DPS? Since he is rerunning in 4.5, here's my updated observations based on how his best teams and strategies have evolved since his initial release. my thoughts on the new chronicled wish banners: 🤔
I'm thinking all the new banner means is they are bundling old characters together so they can rerun newer character faster now. It uses limited intertwined fates so yes it's not "standardifying" old characters it just speeds up the rerun schedule. Older characters will cycle through and take up less space in the rerun schedule so newer characters are able come back sooner rather than waiting 1 year+. And yes it seems like other old characters will be periodically available in this banner eventually too.

Neuvillette is honestly a game changer imo. Hes the one DPS i recommend over most supports just because of how nutty his damage js. Got him c3r1 on my main and c0r0 on my alt. And because of him i managed to 36 star abyss on the alt

hello high investment neuvi main here !! the video is super thorough and basically covers everything already but just a few things worth mentioning if you're looking to hyperinvest or just really really like him; (long ass paragraph)
highest team dpr is almost always gonna be in hypercarry teams such as "hyper premium" (neuvi furina kazuha baizhu) where c1 is always gonna be the better pick between con and weapon, the profit from having a hydro teammate like barbara/furina/childe or even mona can cover any damage loss from not having the signature weapon (as well as lowering er requirement)
4p blizzard strayer!! is a criminally underrated artifact set actually rated SECOND BEST dps wise as long as you run a cryo character (charlotte is amazing, diona is amazing for c0, layla is great)
(especially at c3+) plunge with xianyun is a surprisingly good team because of his plunge multipliers and the widsith situation i saw someone mention !
in the case of just neuvi kazuha isn't that important of a pick who can actually be replaced with anyone running viridescent, the damage bonus from kazuha is amazing but the laser actually covers enough area for crowd control to not matter
as far as i'm aware lost prayer is actually an equally good or better option than amber for anyone looking to give that weapon a use because neuvi can consolidate the stacks with his long ass field time, only concern is overcapping crit rate if youre running blizzard or marechaussee at which the caps are 60% and 64% respectively

i know high investment players like to look down on hyperbloom, but that's what I'll be running him with, because whynot. plus my C0 Raiden is doing nothing on my account. I think I'll build Charlotte and throw her in there as well
One thing that people rarely talk about is that it's possible to often get 3 stack for double hydro Neuv Zhongli with Jean in your team. In recent abysses, there's always a floor where the opponent will atk and apply an element to your char, and Jean can cleanse that element and proc another hydro based reaction.1st half for this abyss, jean can proc -> 12-1: Freeze, 12-2: Vaporise, 12-3: Vaporise and electro charge.

@@Darren-it8nbYea Kazuha can too, even Sayu or AMC, but Jean is the most consistent and efficient since any character on field can cause the swirl. I think this is her main strenght with Neuvi compared to other options, even though I don't like the idea of relying on being hit if it means adding a layer of RNG.

I think that Neuvilette has raised the power of what a ''carry DPS'' is so that another character is at the level of this character, it should not necessarily stand out in having better ''damage'', but in everything that does the character, AoE damage, Single, good at low investment, good at high investment, self-healing etc etc and many aspects that were mentioned in the video. Seeing some of Arlecchino's leaks, he may be close to this man, the difference is that Neuvilette has the best element in the game, opening up a lot of potential now and in the future.

Neuvillette needing units like Furina and Kazuha is legendary for my account. I can run double hydro Hu Tao or use other hydro units like Kokomi, Yelan, or Xingqiu on other teams for dendro teams without needing Furina and that team wide healer. It just makes things way more convenient and Neuvillette heals himself which is perfect.
he doesn't "need" them he has high synergy with them but yeah I understood what you meant. It's good that you can easily make second teams!
he uses the most staple characters ever. i would say the teammates he likes is very much inconvenient, so many teams want kazuha zhongli furina fischl etc. think about if you’re building an alhaitham team tho, its just dendro units that no other team uses. but hey you’ve still got bennet and oppa 🤷♂️

I wanted you to cover Lost Prayer of the Winds as well in the weapon section. Also the viability of Layla/Kirara as shielders for non-Zhongli owners.
lost prayer and prototype amber are around the same. just depends on your artifacts if you need more crit go lp if you need more hp/energy go prototype
Another good thing for neuvellite is that he's hydro so he have a lot of amazing and fun different teams so you can also use him even against shielded enimes in the game
I agree, Neuvillette's flexibility is unparalleled- you can use him with Furina, or you don't have to. You can use him with Kazuha or you don't have to. You can run him with a healer or you don't have to. Tbh I think it's a little unbalanced but it is very useful for players nevertheless.
Thanks for the recommendation on teams. I don't have Furina yet but pulling for Nev next patch, appreciate some substitute team options.

28:28 don't hear it mentioned too often but, depending on the enemy lineup, jean can often provide the 3rd draconic stack in neuvi double hydro by swirling pyro/electro/cryo off herself or neuvi (which they get by being attacked); kazuha does the same but realistically only for pyro due to infusion priority

I mean, I was finally going to get Yelan (I've wanted her since she came out but for various reasons there were other characters I ended up pulling on) and only decided on Neuvillette over her when we got leaks about Furina. I pull for the archons. Maybe if a crappy one comes up I won't but I always hoard prior to a new region. I was impressed enough with furina that I actually went C2. Now I'm going for C1 Neuvillette since the one issue with the team occasionally is getting interrupted. I've done Jean and Fischl from the get-go and I really like it. One thing you didn't mention with fischl is that she doesn't require field time. Furina doesn't require field time. You can basically just Neuvillette the entire time with a jean E thrown in occasionally. I finally switched jean over to Favonius and the team has no energy issues since double hydro, fav jean, fischl.
With a C0 Neuvillete, I really value him with Layla on team, using her with just HP and ER, I have her as both a cryo aplication (enough for his buff) and shielder and works really well

@@Ranamon9132Up to C3 I think it's worth, C1 and C3 increase her shield and C2 increase her energy regen. Also, her C4 increases Neuve charge attack dmg, but I'm unsure if it's just the first tick or if snapshots, but thinking it's the first, I don't think would be so useful for this build

I've been playing him in hyperbloom since he came out. Furina(c1 only), Neuvillette, Raiden, Baizhu has been one of my go to teams for a while now and it's honestly super strong and easy to play, so I love it!

Yeah, but Arle seems like she will have her highest damage in only Overload, though she can be used in other reactions. Neuv is just straight power regardless of reaction.

4:50In fact, when Genshin Impact was first released, the DPS on the field was also friendly to quick swap. This is the case for example, Diluc and Noelle, even if it is a razor, it can return some energy to compensate for canceling the burst
I use him with C2 Furina and Charlotte.
Charlotte helps give Furina her full 140% HP buff and she does big damage.
I'll probably be gunning for Neuvi's c1 since I don't care about any of the remaining Fontaine units. He's very fun and powerful!

@@mickysaif There is good news and bad news for Childe. The good news first, he can serve in a stronger team. The bad news is that he only has one honorary title on that team (buff Normal Attack and Trigger 2 Hydro) and won't be allocated playing time
Would you say Baizhu on 4pc Song of Days Past paired with the healing on his burst would somewhat tilt the synergy to his favour over Zhongli, since it might help activate Neuvillette's 4th ascension passive? I know that passive isn't worth building around, but I was still curious to know if it would be a factor. I imagine the burst animation could also be a waste of time if you are not fighting a boss like Maguu Kenki.
Jamie focuses a lot on practice and speedruns, that indirectly takes into account pretty much anything included Neuvi's A4 without concretely addressing it, it's not like he forgot about it. That said, Neuvi's A4 is "always" active, it caps when Neuvi is at or above 80% health with 30% DMG Bonus (50 * 0.6%) and normally since he oscillates the whole time between 100% and ~50% HP he will usually just lose even without a healer only something around 5% DMG Bonus on average. A healer wouldn't change much, also depending on the frequency and the quantity of the healing it might not even prevent that ~5% DMG Bonus loss completely, at which point discussing further about it becomes silly.
Im trying my hand in TC calcs and been calcing his weapons for Furina, Kazuha, Zhongli team. Ive found R5 Sac jade to be within 1% of tome with KQMS. I then tested what the absolute peak artifact build would look like and R5 Sac Jade actually beats R1 Tome by 0.8% if you get perfect 4 line pieces that all roll into the right stats (not happening). I had to confirm these results with 3rd party programs like genshin optimizer to ensure my spreadsheet was correct.
yeah I personally wouldnt do it like that. for the higher investment calc you have to use high total roll artifacts with similar amounts of crit rate and crit dmg so so you end up with to much crit rate. perfectly deciding the crit rolls like 3 cr 35 cd per piece would defeat the purpose
@@jamiekb9v The high investment calcs are purely theoretical, It took me over 1000 days to get my first 30+ crit dmg sub stat, and I don't think its realistically possible for anyone to get 4 40 crit dmg subs with the perfect remaining subs.
Most interesting thing about it was R1 tome does not even want 300% Crit dmg with literal perfect artifacts and I based calcs before C2 Neuv where he values crit DMG even less. It really goes to show how overvalued crit dmg is on him.
@@johnpettigrew9420 yep u don't need too much crit rate. though important to factor in hp goblet + hydro res + scattered hp% stats so you don't want too much hp% either. the best for abyss grind is being able to benefit from 8 15 card, 25 hp, and 80 em buff cards to help daily reset grinds

for new players dps is more important than support, esp. a dps like neuvillette, cuz he doesn't need many resources or teammates to be strong, which new players are lacked in.
I have more supports than dps (nahida, yelan, kazuha) so i'm going to pull for him 😞🙏

Having more supports than dpses hold your account more valuable since dpses can easily be replaced by other dpses while supports hold more value since every support have buffing mechanics and can adapt to any team comps

Cannot wait to try to get Neuvillette. I will say, the Neuvillette is not actually that easy on a controller - it takes some getting used to. That being said, he's such a beast.

Random question, what are your opinions regarding xianyun navia teams?
Solid. What I disagree with is the overrating of Kazuha and underrating of Furina. The main advantage I see with Kazuha is a matter of quality of life with the crowd control and Swirl range rather than performance. He can outdo Anemo healers in Furina teams, however, I don't find the difference significant and it might be reliant on having Xiphos, which wasn't mentioned.
As for Furina, I don't see non-Furina teams being on par and she would be the best teammate by far even for C0. I believe this underrating stems from FOMO on Neuvillette's passive rather than results, when you should actually FOMO on Furina's kit.
There are two special cases to mention though. If your primogen and resin investments are low enough, then the high floor of Dendro teams can be on par with Furina teams.
The other case is if your overinvestment is high enough, a "weaker" team without Furina but with a faster setup can meet a damage threshold faster. You can picture this by realizing the fastest way to kill an overworld Hilichurl will skip Furina, but that doesn't make Furina a weaker teammate.
Also Xiangling teams are limited by the range (and spin) of Pyronado. So their effectiveness can be more inconsistent.
The issue with c0 neuv using furina is, not factoring hydro resonance, furina just does so little for neuv’s main source of damage, ie charge attacks. furina’s 75% damage bonus is only a 9% damage increase vs nuev’s third draconic stack because of how damage bonus are additive but the draconic stack is completely multiplicative. Sure neuv gets more than that when you factor in hydro resonance (not a furina exclusive); and his burst and E does appreciate furina like a lot… but that’s honestly a waste of a 75% damage bonus when your main source of damage only improves by 9%. Kazuha’s 40% damage bonus on the other hand is actually giving him a meaningful buff across his whole kit.

@@cadeemmusgrove7791 Why would you not factor hydro resonance, that is one of the costs of choosing stacks over double hydro. You're also making a false dichotomy between Furina and Kazuha when you can have both.
Furina will be used with the other two best supports, so you need a third Neuvillette support that outdoes Furina as a whole and there isn't one really.
@@Dakyi late reply but your comment misses my point pretty bad. I explicitly point out that Furina’s buff powers up neuv’s burst and skill. His charge attacks though are only being buffed by about 9%. Furina 75% buff converts to a 9% buff strictly on C0 Neuv charge attacks.
Hydro resonance and her sub dps is a different discussion altogether as neither of those are unique to furina.

As per Fischl vs other Electro characters at 31:10: I don't think Fischl does extremely significant amounts of damage necessarily, but I like her there nonetheless over other options because she ends up fitting really well with 25 second rotations (you can do E or Q right before swapping back to Neuv). Personally I just value the combination of some damage, low field-time reqs, and also being able to proc electro charged which feels really good to swirl with.
I tried Kuki but the biggest issue I had is that her range is a little low, especially since you won't have interrupt res at C0 with Furina/Kuki/Kaz so having to go closer to the enemy to get electro procs feels risky. With Fischl you can camp out long away where enemies won't hit you and still get EC procs.
Honestly I feel like this slot is going to be the focus of a 5 star release sometime later (Clorinde maybe?) since I do think an electro character is optimal overall due to EC being simple to manage and being better than bloom or freeze for most scenarios. Playing Baizhu for example just *feels* a bit off by comparison when your blooms literally just sit there. An electro character with a mix of defense and damage (maybe like a less restrictive and ER hungry Beidou) would be very welcome for me.
Still don’t have Kazuha and still have never once felt like I needed kazuha (and been 36* since 2.6)

Personally I've liked using Beidou or Layla with Neuvillette/Furina. I don't have C1, and I don't think I'll be pulling for it any time soon, but I might get it at some point in the future.
The biggest issue I have with Neuvillette right now is that my Yelan is C3 and very well-built, so Neuvi is struggling to keep up in terms of dmg unless there's more than 2 targets.
I have c6 layla, should I build her 2pc 2pc Hp%? Sadly no hp weapon, but I think k dockhand will come back on Neuvillette's weapon banner
@@user-uy7zp3wr4t I would not recommend pulling on a weapon banner for a 4* weapon, but I guess if it's auxiliary to what you're actually pulling for and you get lucky, it's alright. I personally have her on 4p Tenacity because I can't be bothered to switch her to something else, but 2p2p HP% is probably good. 2p or 4p Blizzard could also be fine if you care about her dmg, I guess, but her dmg isn't that impressive unless you go all in.
For weapon you can always just give her Fav and she'll do fine, I guess. HP% is good on her, but in the end it mostly depends on if you really need a beefier shield or if you'd rather have an okay-ish shield and spec the rest into damage.
@darkdude1996ify stronger shield yes would be nice, but I never hear anyone talk about how good layla's c4 buff is
Ahh I only have C2 Layla so I've never really paid attention to her cons. I guess it's a decent buff, but I think the 2p HP% doesn't make that much of a difference realistically (it would add about 100 damage).
U can use kuki to maximize furina buff to neuvelitte! Try this combo : c1 neuvel, kazuha, furina, kuki ! Easily 50+k damage on each Charge attack

I could be wrong but I’m reasoning that neuvillette would be better due to the fact that he’s rly easy to play, and also I’m a mobile player (ew). Also, arlecchino might potentially have a higher damage ceiling, but at a high cost and I’m f2p so resources are hard to get and I’m not gonna spend money on anything, where Neuvillette is very flexible and doesn’t completely rely on teammates

When it comes to who to pull for... I'd say going for Neuvi might be better than Kaz only coz Kaz can still be somewhat replaced with Sucrose and you'll still be alright. There's not really a Hydro DPS like Neuvillette I think...

I shall wait for the drip marketing for 4.6 to see whether I should get his C1, since I've been enjoying comboing him with Furina.
If the drip confirms who I think they are, I'll skip Neuvi's C1. If not, Neuvi's C1 it is.
Best chara in genshin, consolidates every role and nothing will beat his DPI blitz.

I have a question!!
So here's the story- I was sure to get neuvi's signature first before spending the rest for his c1. Now, I'm getting confused about which banner should I go first.
Aside from the extra stack at c1, I can play him perfectly fine at c0 without a shield. Tho having interrupt res won't be too bad. It unlocks flexibility for him. But furina is my only support if I wanna go for double hydro and she has no use in my acc other than neuvi teams.

His signature build that I've prepared is so much better. But also I already have freedom sworn for kazuha. And honestly? My neuvi can't even utilize it's passive. Getting another one will be good for kuki. And i would've pulled on the banner even with green donut on it.

There are more F2P weapons. With dragons tale you get HP and give to Xianling or Fishl a huge atk% buff that they will apreciate more since Neuv is runned without bennet, pyro consonance, etc. And Nautic book is 32% dmg increase and EM. So if you dont have furina is better than prototype amber and jade possibly if you have a lot of substats of 10% CR.

Now I am really thinking, do I pull for Neuvillette? Furina C2? or do I wait for a possible Arlechinno banner? I am at a current state where I can easily complete abyss without problems, so I really I'm unsure about what I really want (as a F2P, I doubt I can pull for all of them without spending money lol)
If you really like them u can go for all of them, is not like this is the only time you can pull for them, u can try getting what you can this time and save for next reruns, genshin is a really long term game specially for f2p players. And by the info i can take from ur question i guess u allready have furina c1, so i guess if u like neuville getting him is better choice, as the furina c2 only help to see a bit bigger numbers and clear a bit faster in her teams, i mean ofc is good but is not like that will change the way you play, personally i will get both neuville c1 with his weapon and furina c2 with her weapon, have 220 wishes saved as 100% f2p, i will get what can now ( i hope 2 newville with his weapon and 1 furina atleast) and then i will wait for other furina rerun next year to finish her c2 + weapon

My Gf started Genshin a year ago, and her first fully built char was Neuv c0 with his weap. And she has already cleared and been 36*ing abysses bc of him and we jok ethat Neuv is her entire acc bc she has barely built any supports fully bc she has him. He is just ridiculously broken. I think Nilou is similar (not as good but shes so op) but shes slept on so hard its not even funny.

If I want to play Neuvillette on one side and Hu Tao on the other side, is it more optimal to play Hu Tao in a vv vape or overvape team and put Furina to Neuvillette, or should I rather play Hu Tao with Furina and play Neuvillette with Xiangling?
For context: I usually play Hu Tao (C1 with R5 Fjords) with Yelan-Furina-Jean and I have C2 Furina with Key, so she gives EM buffs to everyone. When I play her in vv vape, I play Yelan-Bennet-Kazuha, which is decent, but not nearly as good as with Furina (Kazuha is C0, so no EM Buff from him and Yelan is C0, so I often miss my vapes). Sometimes I also play Hu Tao-Yelan-Xingqiu-Fischl, with performs similar to the vape team for me.
I use Gilded on her in non-Furina teams and MH in Furina teams and I have quite good pieces of both but no Shimenawa or Crimson.
Regarding Neuvillette, I'm excited to finally get him in 4.5. I will get him with his C1 and I already have his weapon. I don't have Zhongli, Childe or Mona, but I do have Baizhu.
for general content I would do neuvillette furina one 1 team, and then hu tao yelan either vv vape or double hydro with xingqiu. you can do either depending on which team you find more suitable each abyss reset
For me i use:
1-hutaoC0R1 furinaC2 yelanC0R1(venti's bow) bennettC6.
2-NeuviC0R1 cazuhaC0 Zhongli Flex (childe / pyro / dendro / electro / cryo) .
Easy 36* .
I am new to the game when the same kazuha and neuvillete banners release, neuv can solo team that's why I choose him. Now I am at AR51 and it only hits 10k, I'm not building him hard cause I don't have artifacts luck and I'm thinking it would be a waste of 60fragile resin.
Should I get His weapon and risk not getting Furina next patch? I’m f2p so I’m between a rock and the wall because I truly have no idea which will help me more

The enemies don't even refresh every 2 weeks. It's the most unfun and easy end game mode out of any rpg I've ever played.

I own and use Neuvi c1 (R3 Sac jade) + kazuha + Fischl/Yae + Furina c3. Going from Sac jade at high refinements to Sig isn't nearly as good as the c1 damage increase and interruption res.

I am guaranteed but I'm really torn between Father or Neuvillete. I'm also kinda guaranteed for weapons since I got Skyward Spine last time. I'm a Childe main with BiS weapon also, I have Ayato with BiS weapon but since I really love Childe I'm afraid if I get Neuvillete, he will get my C2 Ayato treatment WHICH is always BENCHED because I always use Childe in Abyss. With Father, I already have Diluc, Yoimiya and Hu Tao all with BiS and well built, to add I also built GMing because he is way too fun to play..... I also already have Furina and Kazuha too. I really don't know who to pick at this point.....

To be completely honest, I find that even a C0 prototype amber Neuvillette with Furina can be really competitive... Obviously his weapon or constellations are very strong, but as a player who doesn't care about speed running, completing a chamber in half a rotation insted of 2 or 3 doesn't really mean much to me 😅 That team just feels so strong with proper artifact investment.
I am fairly new. I already have Neuvillette from his first banner. He's my first 5 star. Should I then absolutely go for Kazuha next? I had Jean C2 in between. Don't really use her.

I have C0 Neuv but thusfar have used my C1 E-bot Dehya instead of going for his C1. Yes that's a dps loss obv, but it's such a primo efficiency gain if a char can make C1 Dehya not be a completely wasted 5*. I don't wanna spend too much on this game so for that reaosn I think Dehay maybe deserved a mention?

Definitely kazuha that's not even a close debate, VV grouper enables even better neuvillete aoe and gives dmg% with a bit a tad bit of personal dmg who does this for any team he's on, do yourself a huge favor

everyone says furina is broken but i dont like her (i dont like fontaine hp drain-gain mechanics). I run c2 nahida, c0 raiden, c3 xingqiu, c0 yaoyao and C2 yelan, c3 xiangling, c6 bennet, c1 sucrose/c6barbara (when i feel like i news hydro resonance) but still cant 36 abyss. should i get kazuha or furina?

It's your teambuilding issue. And u have some of the broken cons. Try this and i think u'll clear.
I feel like I missed something. When you talk about healing and Furina, you said the fanfare would be higher in later chambers. With a healer, you'll have consistently high fanfare for every rotation/every chamber. Not sure what you meant by that. In practice, I find I have higher DPS with Furina and a healer than I do when I prioritize getting all of Neuvillette's draconic stacks with 3 other DPS/supports (c0 Neuvillette).
With that said, I find I have similar DPS swapping Kazuha with Xiangling. Furina's buffs and resonance seem to outweigh Kazuha in other setups
I believe you missed that fanfare doesn't stack on overhealing? so your characters actually need to be at lower hp levels for the healing to give notable fanfare and dmg% increases. which won't be the case in chamber 1s of abysses
@@jamiekb9v I understand that fanfare stacks are based off of HP % changes, but the HP drain and healing are managed in the rotation to benefit fanfare. With Neuvillette/Furina/Kazuha/[Baizhu or Charlotte], you have Furina skill to drain HP early in the rotation before Baizhu's or Charlotte's healing or Furina's burst. You max fanfare stacks every rotation/every chamber.

I can get neuvilette C1 but i will not. The game is challenging without C1 and would kill the hype to dodge things but its good constellation if you dont wanna think unga bunga

Depends on investment. And since Hutao is C1 I will compare both at C1 R1. At C1 R1 level of investment with Furina at C0 for both characters Neuv clears Hutao by a very good margin
If you have his weapon he's strongest dps in game
In terms of single target hutao but neuvillete is closer to hutao single target than hutao is to neuvillete aoe simply put neuvillete is overall better but if you just want single target ceiling hutao can give you that. I'd pick up neuvillete instead of homa though since you have his weap already
Rumors say Arlechino will be on par with neuvi and better than hu tao so both are going to be better than Hu Tao

@@StillQiqiless bc it lets him vape like 1/3 of his hits and this way he benefits from the em from nahida and from sac jade or widsith (+ nahidas personal dmg) so its basicaly the same as the kazuha vape team
I've tried it before but don't think there's enough utility from nahida there to warrant the slot
